You are a brave man to criticize the dodge demon in this day and age. Salute.
It's really not a bad thing to point out the flaws, even the fans are sick of the bullshit.
They’re nothing special, not brave at all
When I bought my Ford Ranger in March 2019, I made sure that the vehicle was not washed. When they parked it in the sold line, I made some marks with a dry-erase marker. If the truck was washed, I would know. I was happy to see it was dusty and my marks were still there. The first thing I did when I got it home was wash it and ceramic coated it with two layers of GTechniq Exo v4!
I’ve dealt with this since 2015 Hellcat 21 sanding marks from factory. 18 Demon sanding marks as big as trashcan lids 20 20/50 anniversary Daytona Charger Hellcat and 2020 challenger redeye. I spoke to Dodge many times go watch the last Demon built video and you’ll see, what is happening to the cars handheld drill with a buffing pad on it . I just buy the cars and send them straight to paint correction and clear wrap the whole car and coat them with C quarts finance reserve . Keep up the good work and make this 170 look amazing 😎👍
I have black 2018 Dodge Challenger. I spent many hours trying to get rid exact same DA haze on my car. I tried products from Rupes, Meguiars, Menzerna and other less known brands. This clear coat is so soft You can scratch it with microfiber towel wiping polish residue. It would be really nice to see how get rid of my nightmare.
I have a video on the channel polishing soft non metallic black paint on a Tesla, very similar use case for the Challenger!

dodge has NEVER been known for its QUALITY. somethings never change.
dealerships usually have a in house "detailer" that get these vehicles ready for delivery . I ordered a 329 and a Hellcat from my local dealer and I asked them to not do any detailing on the vehicle to avoid damaging my paint. Day of delivery I sent them to get ceramic sealed and ppf .

I had my Redeye PPFed right after I bought it. I had no clue that the stealership was going to “detail” it.
A friend of mine got his 2024 Onyx Black Volvo XC60. He told them "Do not wash" and had the salesperson put that on the sales documentation. Guess what. He picked up the car last night, got it home into his brightly lit garage and saw that they washed it and swirled the crap out of it. He has detailing skills, but I will be looking at the vehicle on 02 February and will be correcting it next week.
Have you ever seen rotary sanding scratches under the clearcoat? Is this even a possibility with the Challengers given the way Dodge paints them? I swear I see the scratches under the clearcoat on mine but maybe I am mistaken...
Just received a plumb crazy demon 170. Every panel has scratches and fallout from either the delivery truck of something else and is etched into to matte black roof and hood that now has shiny spots and the flaws and further scratches from someone at the dealer who noticed it and tried to correct it.. it also could be soap left to dry on the surfaces..
Highly disappointed and waiting for dodge demon field rep to come look at the damages ..
That looks a lot like RacerX's Demon.
They all look the same. Aside from that I look for him to sell his before long. He was completely disgusted, and in a bad mental state, after getting gapped repeatedly by brooks's plaid.

Honestly that dont surprise me at all but it is alittle much to be honest for a new car. Ive got a 2021 grand cherokee and just in my garage light you can see the clear coat is put on heavy. Looks really awesome when clean but the trained eye can see the clear needs leveled out.
it's obvious Stellantis vehicles because my black Chrysler 300C has a terrible factory paint job. The paint is thin with s terrible clear coat that shows paint swirls no matter how I wash it, wax and paint protect it. Im tempted to have it either wrapped or have the car completely repainted.
I lease a new truck every 2 years. And I ALWAYS INSIST on no wash prior to
Delivery.
Same with service. NO WASH after service.
Dealerships wash bays are terrible

For as much as they cost it just shows a lot about Dodge. I refused to buy another dodge after 3 and having a problem out of each 1.
My superstock is black when i got it i spent 16 hours fixing the paint . Its garbage
Those are called Mopar birthmarks!!
These aren't Pagani's or Koenisegg's. These are still identical Challengers Chargers etc that came off the same line as the V6... Painting them hasnt changed. These arent going to have a SEMA/Chip Foose level of wet sand and lack of orange peel $40,000+ paint jobs. Rams back in the 90s had bad paint, Ford did too. Anymore these are robot dipped and sprayed. If a modern BMW, Mercedes heck even a Porsche can roll off and within a month or less have headlight condensation, the overall QC for cars arent what it used to be based on volume.
$100k+ car and a $3k Maaco paint job 💀

I would much rather deal with swirl marks as opposed to poor paint coverage on some Ford and GM vehicles I've purchased. Brand new 2023 Corvette Z06, if you look close at the front bumper you can see the primer. Pathetic for a 200k vehicle.

Never let the dealership touch your car, especially a Dodge dealership they are morons, and stallantis has horrible quality control, to pay 100k for a piece of junk is ridiculous.
