Once repaired, PLEASE do a cost comparison. Fixing this car vs. buying brand new (msrp).
Obviously you'll save a ton of money, it's up to you to decide if that's worth all of the time and effort to wind up with a car with a branded title and no warranty.
@@Hawk7886this methods is only good for RUclipsrs. Getting contents and views. Us regular folks. Even if at the end of it. You’ll probably only save $5-10k. With a branded title is not worth it. Assuming you have a shop(lifts), know what you’re doing , a lot of time and tools.
All about how much you get the car for. Air bags tend to be the most expensive thing about this.
Probably close to new and it will forever be a salvage title so I’d say not worth

I have to give it to Honda they fixed much of that comparatively. 😅
I tracked mine in July in Texas and didn't overheat. Obviously I did cooldown laps and I'm not a pro, but I think it'll be fine for most people
The "fast" ones I've seen have had over-heating issues and can't make it through a 20-minute hpde session. But true, likley never be a problem for the average owner (of any of the hot hatches) since they'll never be driven in anger on track

They still overheat in 10-15 minutes of hot laps with a fast driver. Common occurrence here at Sonoma and Laguna Seca.

Currently having an EK sedan being rebuilt because I did something alike, this series is really interesting because I get to see more or less what’s going on in the body shop it’s sitting in

1:17 Just because your mom or your trust fund can afford a 20K mark up on a car doesn't mean that you should buy it. Its the same reason women's jeans cost twice as much as men's. If nobody was willing to pay 20k more they wouldn't charge 20k more.

That's the bs attitude dealers use to justify it. I wish more manufacturers would shut it down. It wouldn't fix the issue of dealers turning them into "used" units with a few hundred miles, but it sure would help. @@idokwatcher2062

As an avid type R meat rider, Honda did wonderfully with the 11th gen. I’ve only seen a couple but they’re gorgeous

Championship White is my favourite colour on these Not sure what you have planned, but Varis makes a really nice kit for the FL5; might be worth having a look at. There's so many 5×120 wheels coming out , so maybe the fact I see these in my feed daily is why I am so excited for this build.

Definitely excited for this one! Sure we often see people rebuilding totaled exotics, but these are the types of cars that I search for on Copart weekly and dream of rebuilding. Really interested to see the process and what the total cost comes out to.

That they are subletting to an actual body shop.
Since this is so new, it's going to be a fresh breath of air to see it back together. This will be a build of love.

This is an exciting one. Some cars are just too far gone and people fix them anyway, knowing we can’t see them up close, but this is perfect.
got my clean title 2023 fl5 for 44,500 and some accessories tint, ppl film upgraded steering, upgraded shift nob, full after market carpets, cover for car etc.
Good to see that airbag sensors are still super exposed and vulnerable to damage during a crash. I had the smashed one sitting in my center console forever to remind me of how it didn't fire after my body shop pulled it out of my 8th gen civic after I had a head on collision.
They're not exposed at all, the system self-tests on every ignition cycle and if a sensor can't be detected it immediately throws a fault. Airbags aren't guaranteed to deploy in a crash, it depends on a ton of variables. Ben was wrong when he said you just need one sensor - the system needs multiple inputs before it decides to fire an inflator.

I just put the extreme contact sport 02's on my mustang, 275/35r20 square. Theyre great tires from my initial reactions
6:44 this is literally us looking over the suspension of a car that we highly suspect was in a wreak and we tryna determine if it's alignable or does parts need to be changed. It's sometimes fun seeing how messed uo some parts are.

Xou mentioned how crazy this all happening in an instant is but i saw 4.75g maybe higher on the g meter during the main impact then 2 something on the secondary which is not small at all thats pretty good if thought in terms of moving things, when thats considered on top of not one injury whatsoever, (it seems) thats the most important thing here though lets remember!!
