This has so much style swag and 90's essence and the quality is freakishly good. Sega needs to make this a thing 31:58 that robot alone had so much of that MJ Jaleel White 90's hip hop Sonic vibe that I feel has been missing from the series and the current movies for so long. Brilliant work.
34:45 I think my FAVORITE Cameo here is easily the Genesis Unit (Buster Rod: Gokū, Hyper Storm: Hakkai & Mega Water: Sa) from 1994's Rockman: Mega World or (in North America & Europe) Mega Man: The Wily Wars! Oh, and if you didn't know, They are obviously the "Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie & Sha Wujing" of Rockman's Universe! Aka, the Main Characters from the 1592 Chinese Novel, Xiyouji!
Just finished the entirety of Demo 2 after downloading it, and it is THE BEST SONIC FANGAME OF ALL TIME (in my opinion)! My only complaint is the Bonus Stage controls being a bit too slippery, unlike Special Stage controls.
That first water act kinda overstayed its welcome but otherwise this looks pretty good, they're doing some really neat things that make sense(the upwards wall dash seems really fun to use, any and all bubbles giving you air so you don't run out). The complete version of this is probably going to be amazing

@zLnix I tried finding the 3D buildings you mention, but I didn't see any. Anyhow, assuming that the engine this game is made in (Hatch) does not support 3d objects, as I don't know if it does, the 3D is likely made by dynamically scaling, positioning, and visually layering the 3D objects in question in relation to the camera.

With how Metal Sonic was watching Sonic during The Egg Rockstar fight, I was surprised he didn't swoop in at any time even while Sonic was leaving.
I like to think that he WANTED to, but it was his and the Eggrobos' night off, and he had to respect that.
I love that detail of just how menacing Metal Sonic looks even when just being in the audience with his bright red eyes

Well, Honey was at one point meant to be one of Sonic's Rivals in Sonic The Fighters.
