The NBA Duos That FLOPPED Miserably

  • In this video, we’re diving into the most disappointing NBA duos that never lived up to their potential. We’re covering the infamous Process Sixers experiment, which seemed to embody everything wrong with tanking; Dwight Howard and James Harden, who proved chemistry can’t be forced; and Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, a pairing loaded with expectations that hasn't delivered. We’ll also examine Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony’s time together, a duo that looked unstoppable on paper but fell short on the court, and, finally, the potential-laden yet volatile mix of Kevin Garnett and Stephon Marbury. From mismatched personalities to failed expectations, these duos remind us that talent alone doesn’t guarantee success.

Houston Harden was technically the most dominant offensive player in the post merger era... The numbers say Harden in his prime was more offensively dominant than MJ,Kobe, LeBron,Embiid, Carmelo, Durant, Curry, Duncan, O'Neal, Kareem, or any other superstar to play in the post merger era. He was 2nd only to Wilt Chamberlain which was before the NBA, ABA merger.. never been a Harden fan but the scoring run he went on in Houston was extraordinary

You're wrong about KG. Big Ticket would have gladly given the spotlight to Marbury. He loved Step and considered him the brother he never had. KG was always a team-first guy. This trade was all about Marbury's immature and jealous nature. It also didn't help that one season after Garnett signed his record contract, Stern and the NBA changed the CBA and adopted a cap system- forever crippling MN's roster as long as Garnett was there.

Harden and howard could've been kobe and Shaq...difference is coaching. Phil figured out how to take the 2 biggest egos in the game and have them click JUST ENOUGH to win championships.
Theor hatred for each other was public. They weren't bossom buddies.....but for 60 minutes every couple of days they got along just enough to be dominant.
If harden and howard had someone who pushed them and make them both happy with the offense....they could've been scoring 130 a night while completely shutting down the paint for opposing offenses.
People forget, despite being a goofball, nba players would hesitate if not completely avoid driving at howard just a few years prior.
Injuries definitely hindered his capabilities as a player but if he grew up and worked hard he could have been maybe 85% of his peak Orlando dominance, which combined with the best scorer at the time...would've been devastating.
If he would've just accepted being #2...or even #1B he could've allowed Harden to learn, mature, and grow in his game. He stayed in neutral and even regressed because he was worried about the other shit more than the game itself which ultimately is reason why his championship window has closed (he can get a ring, but likely off the bench on another star's back...like howard in LA)

    Double standards.
When you content creators have free time, you do NOT read up on better broadcasting or cripser audio transmission ALL THE TIME, CONSTANTLY. You wouldn't wanna be criticised for having a bad video out, then going with your girlfriend to the park the next day and people saying 'he shouldn't go out with this performance, he should be at home attoning for his crime' or something. That's what you do.
They have training, they have games, they have departure times at airports and they have nutritional plans, and as long as they follow all that, no one can tell them what to do with their free time
Until then, let people do what they want to do in their free time, man. Playing bad isn't a sin for which a sportsman has to attone by locking himself in a room with water and bread, what is this attitude? I swear, the sports brain on some people...as if you wouldn't take the deal if offered to you.
But instead of criticising the blockheads having made this deal, you criticise George for not being 'worth' what they pay him...as if it's somehow his fault and not theirs that he earns that money, as if it's his fault and not theirs that they have gambled away their immediate future.
But I'm sure you as baskeptball professional would have said no to that deal and would have said to the Clippers - 'dear Clippers, I do not think I'm worth that money, and I'm not worth all these assets, please do not do it, pay me much less!!!' To somehow ry to spin it around to pin the blame on George is just dum-dum.
