I have been going to Thailand since 2011 and my favourite season is wet season been drenched and ankle deep in Soi 11 but no complaints.

I love the rainy season! I usually stay months at a time so I like it better. But I can understand if you’re only going for a week why it wouldn’t be optimal.

Since we will stay only 2 full days in BKK we decided to stay closer to the Old City & temples .... (Not in Koh San Road but close....just to be close to the temples).

Hi !! Many thanks for this VLOG. We go to Thailand in 5 days!! You reassured me a lot. We will stay in Bangkok for 5 days, then go to the north : Ayutthaya, Pak chong, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai. Do you think it's also OK ?

Domestic flights might be cheaper but international long haul flights aren’t as June, July and August are still the highest travel times around the world. Which means even though there might be less people traveling to Thailand planes are used elsewhere around the world.

rain in thailand are mostly like 2hrs of heavy rain then no more rain for the day, so if you're not unlucky you can still travel fine like other seasons. actually some places are even more beautiful during the rainy season, like mountains in the north and isaan. me as a local love traveling during this time
Well, yeh sometimes, but ... as I live here nowadays, someday rain more than 7 to 8 hours non stop

What people don’t understand here is that the rainy season is not the same everywhere in Thailand . Until end of august , the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan are quite dry and relatively sunny . The rainy season there starts end of august/ early September and lasts till December . July and august weather is quite sunny ( sometimes hazy ) with an evening or night shower now and then .
Different pattern then rest of Thailand .
I guess we have made an entire vlog about that and mentioned in this vlog if they want to check it again

I visited Thailand in June last year for about 6 weeks. To be honest I can't remember many rainy days at all. Most days I walked a lot and never once did I use a raincoat or umbrella. Maybe I was lucky. I'm returning in July, so will see what happens this time around.

True. I was there 8th - 22nd Jun last year. It did not rain at all. However, it was not as hot. I Will be back in August this year. Hope it will be good.

I prefer raincoats and flip flops more than umbrella. But in western countries the raincoat needs to be warmer with fuzzy lining and boots

I was attacked by 2 locals in Phuket and things were solved when I called my embassy right away
If your asking why was I attacked because there was cockroach fell on the hat of one local and tried to help him by knocking that insect away suddenly this person and his friend got angry and started hitting me I defended myself but other people stopped us and called the police
That’s when I called my embassy suddenly these 2 guys got scared and started saying sorry

You should really have changed the title, it's not rainy season across all of Thailand at the same time, with that said; rain brings mostly a lot of difficulties;
1) Riding your bike, slippery, cars don't care, and spray you when passing / overtaking
2) Buying a cheap poncho at thb 70 from 7-Eleven is not a good deal, that 0,2mm plastic will last five minutes... use thb 200 and buy a proper durable poncho instead.
3) Wet stuff gets moldy and starts smelling funky... especially in Thailand, make sure to dry it or get rid of it.
4) Effin mosquitos, they're a pain... even when it pours.
I used to commute in Bangkok to work, and be it Grab or regular taxi, they always tried to scam you on price, or simply cancelled the trip, it's a hassle for sure, supply and demand in effect.
The upside; as you mentioned, the heat it not bothering you!
On a sidenote; shouldn't you have made a "Norwegian Constitutaion Day" video instead today?
