Because of you guys and Stacey Abrams, I donated to a political race(Georgia) for the first time in my life(I'm low income and on disability). I am grateful for Crooked Media you helped me get through 2020. Thanks.
Oh my goodness, that is so generous of you. I hope your generosity and kind wishes are heard around the state and the country and resonate with the Georgia people especially. I also hope your kind gesture returns to you ten fold and keeps you and your kin safe, healthy, fed and warm 🥰
I'm on limited income too. Disability, several chronic issues. Its wonderful you donated. Did your part. I find if I'm able to do even a small part in helping those I chose to help, the one receiving my help is blessed. But I'm blessed too-- knowing I helped. Its a double blessing. Stay strong.
@@kaintudigit1599 I'm low-income, but not on disability, but I donated to Gods Love We Deliver (Seth Meyers' site) to help feed people who are suffering during the Pandemic.
I'm in the same boat. It's unfortunate our political system requires money from those who have the least, just to ensure they don't lose what little they get.=(
Ignoring Trump for one full 24 hour period was the best Christmas gift I gave to myself. Once he was out of the way, the 25th actually started being enjoyable!
Ever since the bleach and UV press conference I just doom scroll headlines quickly to make sure Trump hasn't enacted Martial Law or bombed Germany. I haven't listened to Trump directly after that but just wait for the summary on the news. I don't listen to left wing Limbaugh clones either because they're just in it for the clicks and like Fox they only ramp up the necessary outrage for their own purposes, namely to stimulate wars in the comments, TMR, David Pakman, TYT etc.
I'm so glad I discovered Crooked and, especially, Pod Save America and Pod Save the World this year ! It's been a real bright spot for me. Let's hope for a better 2021 for us all. Stay safe, stay well, y'all!
I have noticed that theme in Tommy's throw away remarks for the past couple of months. I really hope some people with the ability to do stuff will seriously make an effort to settle scores because one thing this election did was to take off the masks. We all know who is who now and some people have been very naughty.
Agreed. A new find for me as well. Though biased- my own 20-somethings give me hope (most days), these young men do too. I really like - I mean it - like (!) them. As in I’d invite them over for drinks or a meal. You just don’t feel that way about many people these days, and that’s a pity. Nicely put.
Here, here. From across the pond in the UK, after a terrible General Election result in 2019, you guys have helped me stay sane (ish!), given me hope & made me laugh when when I've most needed it. Thank you for all you do & all the best for 2021. X

Good morning Jon, Jon and Tommy! Thanks for keeping me informed and somewhat same this last year. I'm cautiously optimistic for a better year. Happy New Year to you all! Cheers to more pods from you all!
What a great idea to do a podcast on the year's worst political takes - yours included! Love you guys. Also Lovett talking about his resolutions is cracking me up
You guys are delightful. Thank you for helping us through 2020. Especially I would like to thank you for making getting involved and contributing to campaigns accessible to us at the grassroots level. I didn’t buy a Starbucks or any other coffee this year. I donated my coffee money and as much disposable money as I could afford to ballots up and down the ticket and all around the country. You filter it all down and point us in the direction to make these small contributions where they will make the most impact. You made me smarter, more engaged- but mostly you made me laugh when things got pretty f-ing dark. Happy New Year and here’s to better days in 2021.
I am insanely grateful for the Pods. All of them. I found the Pods about the same time I was diagnosed with Lymphoma (and about the same time Los Angeles was locked down because of Covid). You guys have kept my brain engaged, got me to get on phones on days I could, and send out Vote Save America links to my friends. Above all else, you helped me to get involved in things and not feel sorry for myself. You made me laugh a lot. Thank you.
The First Annual Pundies was a great success! The bit about “tone” was illuminating. The political press, not unlike the financial sector press are entirely too short term in their observations, ascribing the smallest of current incidents to some new and long lasting trend; this they did throughout this year regarding DT when all previous evidence and precedence would clearly bear out a different analysis. God but the press shat it’s own pants this year. As a whole they come out of this year smelling really bad.
Lovett, you and my husband have the same car habit. 🤦 Your chanel was a great discovery this year to keep us foreigners updated on the crazy political structure you have in the States. But let's be clear, your resolutions mirror our own up North, so we're far more similar than we give each other credit for. It's been a joy listening to all your programing. Here's to hoping 2021 is interesting in the fact that it will be more "normal".
A really fun episode, especially the Crooked Media team saving Lovett by cropping Elizabeth Warren endorsements. Lol.. and Jon Fav giving up on reading one book a month and accepting reality like all of us.
Excellent goals, guys! I appreciate your self-awareness & political analysis. You have inspired me to thoughtfully consider my own. Also, please be gentle with yourselves. Lovett: detail Mia’s car TODAY! All of you: watch this video again at least once a month. Listen to books you wouldn’t ordinarily read. Breathe through it. ❤️
Here's to hoping a lot of people get on board with it... if CNN, NYT or whoever is still reporting on his tweets after inauguration day, then I'll be annoyed.
Grateful: I am so glad I found your channel. One, It makes me feel less like I am on an island of sensible people and Two, you gave me the opportunities to volunteer I was looking for for the general election!
Tommy talking about not holding grudges, but finishing the job instead is honestly such a fucking MOOD for 2021! Fuck the self-help “let go of negative emotions” bullshit, weaponize your outrage. Action and vengeance is the best remedy for anger
i worked for months phonebanking for Sara Gideon - heard her speak on a number of occasions- she was a very good candidate! Collins deserved to lose for numerous reasons. Still getting over it!
Imagining going to a children’s theater show makes me smile. To be around so many people in a crowded space seems impossible. Watching a live children’s performance & not fretting the whole time about the virus or Trumpism is a buoying thought.
I'm not going to lie, I've enjoyed having an excellent excuse to do absolutely nothing more than the bare necessities of life. If haven't been 100 yards away from my house in months and other than wishing I lived five miles closer to the beach I'm good with this for another year or two... except for the people suffering part.
I sounds like he needs to get a hefty yard clean up bag and hang it from the headrest to the dashboard and throw a deodorizer and rat trap in there for good measure.
That would require getting/buying a big trash bag and hanging it on a handle, and the bag would have to stay open, otherwise when Lovett inevitably missed the bag the trash would fill up the floor anyway. My son just tossed it over his shoulder into the back. As long as both of his parents didn’t ride in the car at the same time, it worked fine. LOL
My boy Lovett looking very slim, Tommy always the smartest in the room, and darling Favs laughing and smiling is all I need after this trio has carried me the last four years. I LOVE you three.🤣😁🥰😚😚😚😷😷💕🥃
I feel ya. I don't do resolutions...I do try to do better in my diet and exercise (though Covid is making it hard!) I retired in January this year, and though this year has been a shit show, at least Trump will shortly be an unpleasant smear in the rear view mirror. I had to put off a move and joint replacement surgery on account of Covid and this is making getting exercise harder. The local aquarium just finished construction and opened up and I love aquariums but I'm afraid to go with Covid. Still though, I know that I am blessed. I'm over 60 but under 65 with no comorbidities so I likely won't get the vaccine until the Summer because tgstbputs me in priority 2 (along with 120+ million Americans.) Because I am retired, though some expenses went up (Food), I have been financially stable, that's not true for many Americans. I didn't start drinking, haven't had fast food since March, don't gamble, and I am eating more healthy food. I'm not perfect but it could be worse. Hopefully I will have z better year in 2021 but I think that is more up to me than external factors. I ordered more masks and sanitizing wipes which now seem to be marginally available after 9 months of not being available for love or money. Life is good (and yes, my standards have gotten lower this year.)
I listen to you guys every day. I’m a strong Bernie supporter, not an Obama fan, but I have found myself opening to some of your views and perspectives. I’m grateful for you guys. Happy New Year. May we all open our perspectives to view things a little differently when warranted.
Funny pod, you're the best. Happy New Year for everybody, Lovett made my eyes wet in the end, yeah, this has been a really tough year and we need hope, to think that next year will be better.
Yep. I'm pretty sure you guys were a lifesaver for the lucky zillions who caught you this year--for the last four years! Today was so fun! You crazy guys!! Sharing your busts on resolutions and your adorable vulnerabilities.
A podcast that explores what infrastructure means in this day and age would be great. I'm not sure we should be spending fortunes on roads when folks need consistent electricity. Having Russia threatening our already aging electric system is very scary. Figuring out what infrastructure means today will help us figure out what we need to pay money towards.
I need a clip of Tommy saying "It's okay. I've done that. Don't hurt yourself." -- to play to myself literally every day. (Yeah, craven misuse, I don't care.) You guys are awesome to each other, and it's great.
Lovett! My now 24 yr old son has stories from his childhood in which he remembers his feet resting on a pile of trash, mostly empty Frappuccino bottles and plastic S bux cups. Luckily, he wasn't traumatized by it...too much. He went on to work at S Bux as his first job, from 17 to 23. 😆
I loved this end of year podcast. I am looking forward to the New Year with you guys. Lovett’s mea culpa regarding his 2020 supposed failed resolutions touched my heart. Just wanted to say, Lovett, your name should be your motto, love it (food), but mostly love yourself. You DO look healthier this show than last show. You inspire me. I will do the same for 2021.
Love these three guys and could never thank them - and the whole Crooked team - for keeping me semi-sane these past 5 years. Appreciate their resolution sharing (last year and this year) with Tommy's approach to grudges being perfection.
OMG!! I thought I was the only one who did the pour my coffee into my cup and throw the empty cups on the floor of the passenger seat, (because recycle hello and I DO NOT LITTER better to have a dirty car judge away) but wow I feel so much more human and connected now. I'm so grateful for you all in Crooked Media, you've made 2020 bearable.
You guys strike the perfect “Tone”. You have fed my brain, stirred my emotions and tempered my fears. Thank you and your team. Sending Daimoku to us all.
If trump had acted like an adult, for any length of time, and if he had simply acted responsibly about the pandemic, he would have won, easily. The fact he literally couldn’t, is why he lost. He was never fit for the office, and that was obvious from the start. It’s enormously sad that so many people couldn’t, or wouldn’t, see that.
I’m so glad I found your podcast this year. Can’t wait for another year with you guys. And I too want to do the YES to everything when we’re all vaccinated and safe to go out/travel. Going out/traveling whenever anyone asks me, when it’s safe 🙌🏼
My vote goes to Helmuth Norpoth's "prediction" that Trump was going to get re-elected with 400+ electoral college votes because... he totally crushed the GOP primaries.
@@pakde8002 Bill Weld was running in 2020, he won 1 delegate from Iowa. Trump forced the GOP to cancel most of the state primaries because he was afraid he might look bad.
Jon, is that your Nonny’s sweater? Adorable. I’m doin it. I’m signing up for Noom. Thank you. Thank you for so much. 2020 would have been worse without you .
I have never related to someone so much when Jon said “I haven’t read a book in years” 😂 Also we should all play like the biggest game of tennis once we get out of quarantine
Hej Jon Favreau, love the moose on your shelf. I'm a New Yorker now living & watching from Sweden. Thank you guys for your show. Can't wait for 2020 to be over.
Ditto, Lovett. It’s the Ashkenazi way. The eating thing is completely out-of-control during this pandemic. Especially if you’re alone, like me, since moving from Cleveland to Silicon Valley 18 months ago for a new job, knowing no one and supposedly starting a ‘new’ life. The first eight months before C19 were great. Covid just ended life as we knew it.
lovely... three deeply committed journalists, also loving friends, who bring light, leadership and encouragement to our discourse and action. Thank you....
I love all of you guys. Thanks from bottom of my heart for keeping my spirits afloat during the Trump presidency. Listening to the pod, knowing that you guys also found everything to be terribly effed up and that I wasn't crazy or merely in the actual Twilight Zone. Best wishes to all of you and yours. (Lastly, knowing you're tossing your used DD cups into the floor of Mia Farrow's car makes you even more endearing, Jon Lovett.) Thanks again, PSA.
From here in South Australia I spent 2020 listening to PSA, PSTW & The Wilderness... I'm grateful for all of your insights, knowledge & candour and especially the cursing that reflected my frustrations with the President (don't even want to dignify his name)! You guys are the bomb and everyone who dares to visit my place has now experienced your RUclips channel 😁😁🤣🤣 can't wait to hear from you in 2021!!! Also, love Lovett or Leave It - and the in the closet intro's 💞
Tommy is my favorite. His kind of dry sense of humor tickles my funnybone. Not to mention his deep manly voice. Major crushing here. Okay, that's enough 😂
I agree - throwing your garbage on the floor in the car is just disgusting! It's not that hard to throw it away in a proper bin. It drives me nuts when people throw their cups out the window, like it's everyone else's job to clean up after them.

Things Nate Silver is Responsible For:
-The factors he puts into his model
- The way he advertises his model, to an extent
- He isn't really great at communication, especially to people who aren't math nerds and political junkies
Things Nate Silver is Not Responsible For:
-Errors in traditionally reliable and well trusted polls that he didn't conduct
-The general trend towards polling become harder and harder
-The special bullshit that was polling and voting in 2020
-The Blue Shift on election night that everyone knew was coming but were still upset about
-The fact that the US generally does a poor job of educating people in stats/data science and the communication gap that results
Things ABC are responsible for: laying off Claire Malone, like idiots.

This is a great idea for the show. I'm enjoying going over the worst events. It's like, Oh yeah! that happened! ha ha ha Thank you for being here!
Yes! De-amplify Trump! He wins when we let him live in our heads. Make him history.
happy new year, you guys. you have made this year so much more bearable. i can't thank you enough.
Love you guys...one of the best discoveries I had in 2020!!! Wishing you all an amazing 2021. Can't wait to see what you have in store!
Tommy has seen the burden of bearing grudges with stunning originality: Finish the job. Woof! Stay on that lad’s good side . . .
This episode was so much fun thanks!
"Every cheat feels like an undeserved calamity." Amen, Mr. Lovett. Let's hope 2021 feels less . . . guilt-ridden when it comes to food.
“Trump won’t be part of the news after 2020”
God how much I wish that were true…
You guys strike the perfect “Tone”. You have fed my brain, stirred my emotions and tempered my fears. Thank you and your team. Sending Daimoku to us all.
Thank you for being there (virtually) and helping me keep my spirits up this year! Happy New Year!
I love when they get all human and personal.
Love the resolution to talk/think less about Trump. Happy new year’s guys and thanks for your 2020 pods!
Exactly right and his complete lack of empathy for all the Americans that have died from covid and their families.
100% agree on ignoring Trump. It’s negativity we don’t need and the mainstream news needs to stop reporting on him too
I’m so glad I found your podcast this year. Can’t wait for another year with you guys. And I too want to do the YES to everything when we’re all vaccinated and safe to go out/travel. Going out/traveling whenever anyone asks me, when it’s safe 🙌🏼
I have the same eating issues as Lovett. I guess it isn't really that funny, but I laughed so hard.
My vote goes to Helmuth Norpoth's "prediction" that Trump was going to get re-elected with 400+ electoral college votes because... he totally crushed the GOP primaries.
What primaries?? Was he talking about 2016?
@@pakde8002 Bill Weld was running in 2020, he won 1 delegate from Iowa. Trump forced the GOP to cancel most of the state primaries because he was afraid he might look bad.
Yes, Tommy!!! I’ve been saying this for months! Stop feeding the dragon! No more oxygen going to Agent Orange!
You guys are THE BEST!!!!! Happy New Year to you all and to your families from me in CANADA!!!!!!
Nobody ever keeps New Year resolutions. Nobody. The End.
Jon, is that your Nonny’s sweater? Adorable.
I’m doin it. I’m signing up for Noom. Thank you. Thank you for so much. 2020 would have been worse without you .
I have never related to someone so much when Jon said “I haven’t read a book in years” 😂
Also we should all play like the biggest game of tennis once we get out of quarantine
Happy New Year from a Brit and grateful thanks for providing the light moments in a diabolical year.
I love the show too but Jon is right about Schitts Creek.
It is actually very comforting that such successful people have the same issues with sleep, food, scheduling and anxiety that I do.
I don't make resolutions anymore. I don't want to set myself up for failure. lol.
I find it amazing and refreshing that you all can find humor. Thank you for that! 😆
I find the two Jons and Tommy very appealing. There, I've said it. I've been holding back far too long. LOL Pod Save America!
I love when folks have to commend the American President for not issuing and insult. (~7:15.)
Thanks for all that you do. God bless America. From the uk.
Does anyone else find the length of Tommy's list of resolutions incredibly endearing?
From here in South Australia I spent 2020 listening to PSA, PSTW & The Wilderness... I'm grateful for all of your insights, knowledge & candour and especially the cursing that reflected my frustrations with the President (don't even want to dignify his name)! You guys are the bomb and everyone who dares to visit my place has now experienced your RUclips channel 😁😁🤣🤣 can't wait to hear from you in 2021!!! Also, love Lovett or Leave It - and the in the closet intro's 💞
Happy New Year, Kelly! Thanks for watching! :)
I love that I guessed the one of “guess I’ve got the Rona” before they did. 😅
You guys are awesome. I am so grateful for finding your podcast; it made my year go by better. Adios Drumph.
Thank you for this episode :) it brought me many moments of laughter & also sparked joy (as the saying goes). Here's to an ever-improving 2021 !
