We really like our 7.3 so far! We’ve owned it about a month now, and made a few videos about it. We’ve towed our 5th wheel with it and been very impressed. We’re coming from a diesel - and I have no regrets. We have been averaging higher mpg than you. 15-17 unloaded. Around 10-11 when towing the trailer. We have the 3.73 gears. Thanks for the video. Great info!
Same, love the engine. I get 14.2 dry on the highway. 12.5 normally every day but I keep it in tow haul mode all the time and like to get on it occasionally.
I have an F350 7.3 with long bed. Godzilla has all kinds of power. No need for a diesel if you are pulling under 17,000 pounds of loaded trailer. Love this guy when he says “don’t doubt it”. That’s confident experience speaking.
Forged crank, forged connecting rods, 6 bolt and cross bolted mains and piston oiling cooling jets that monster will be doing that long after a diesel is killed by its emissions. Ironic
That is a bad ass set up. I got my f350 7.3 a month ago. Can’t wait to tow my trailer next week. It’s only 8k so I hope it will be a big improvement over my 2019 f150 eco boost
My F-350 7.3 3.73 axle got a production date last week of 08/22. I also have an 8k trailer I am hoping I will be able to take camping this fall after the initial 1K break in period. What mileage do you plan on doing your first oil change?
@@niceatrya3477 that’s great news. I did my first oil change at 1300 miles. Used castrol full synthetic high temp and a motorcraft filter. In the future I will be using a Baldwin oil filter part# B281. Way better filtering and holds more oil. I plan to do oil changes no more then 5k

I think the Ford 7.3 gas engine is the best on the market for sure. I know they’ve had some other issues but hopefully it will hold up nicely. That is one beautiful trailer you have for your toys. I have a 6.7 Cummins HO and just drove 960 miles from Eastern Oregon back to Colorado and I was able to average 10.4 towing our Toy Hauler empty which is 10k. Thanks for the video.

This makes me miss our 7.3, we got rid of it because we got into a diesel a couple years old than our 7.3 for cheaper and less miles. I miss the 7.3 roar!
good deal. Ive had 2 newer 6.7's and neither got much better mileage while towing. Just had mor power available if needed. The 7.3 will get the job done just fine.
Great Video I Already Ordered My Non-Tremor Truck To your specs just not name tremor to save money Trading in my worthless 2013 F450 cab/chassis 4wd crew cab that just shit cp4 pump at 100,000 miles and cost me stupid money to repair myself, but I ordered mine supercharged
Have been happy with mine other than it eating transmissions. Ford may be buying it back most likely. Debating weather to buy another for roughly 70 for comparable to what I have or bump up to a 450 for another 8 grand and have a lot more truck but more importantly I just feel it will hold value much better.
@@8fifteenoff-road142 thats alot of weight for a gasser on the highway. Glad its working well for you I recently went from a diesel to a gasser aswell but i dont pull that much weight 32 foot camper. A tractor and a skid steer mostly short trips Keep up the good work
What an awesome setup. Beautiful truck and trailer
I just placed an order for a 24 king ranch srw 7.3 with 4.30 gears to tow a 14.5k (dry) 42’ 5th wheel. Coming form a 2500 ram. Hope I have no regrets!
The 7.3 does not disappoint.

no supercharger for this truck. Too much $$$
Such an awesome set up!
will be towing something similiar. Seeing the shift frequency I'm glad i got 4.30's w/standard towing wheels

I'm sure I missed it, but what set of gear Gears are you running 3.55 or 4.30?
4.30 gears

Hopefully you won’t really really miss it when the emissions system creates a 10k repair bill.
Who’s grille lights are on your truck?

What size tank does the truck have ?
I think it was 34.
Is it the 3.73 or 4.30 gears?
4.30
I have a 2021 f250 7.3 with 430's I pull a 41ft 5th wheel total weight 14,500 lbs its a monster
What wheel/tire combo does the truck have?
Tires are Cooper STT Pro in a 295/65-20 and wheels are Fuel Blitz in a 20x9
What’s your payload say on the door?
3788 lbs
How much do it weigh loaded
It will be about 15k loaded.
I got a 2019 f250 deleted with 35" tires I get 18 or 19 mpg empty, and about 10 or 11 pulling 10k
Is there a difference between srw and drw for the f350 7.3?
Cargo capacity and stability are higher with the DRW.

That's too much weight for the 7.3
Not at all. No problems or issues at all.
He's under spec by about 4k.
The 7.3L is actually more HP and torque than a 1st or 2nd gen Cummins.
Spec for 24 says 21k give or take, towing capacity with a payload over 4K for crew cab-

12.6 empty is terrible.
Not for a truck that size on 35" mud tires doing 75mph.

34 gallons. Plenty big for me. 2.5 hours between stops is good enough.
