      Great video once again! Just want to remind you because I believe you are using the word wrongly: "legally sanctioned torture" is what you are saying but most likely you mean legally subsidised torture? Because I believe there are no sanctions being given out legally for that torture. Hope I'm not wrong here ^^

    Hey Joey, love the video, hard to watch as it really hits home on my own reactions for when I acknowledge something that I have been taught and know as "truth", is no longer true. This guy has Aspergers, from his actions and reasoning, he is totally taking in and processing everything that you have said. He sees will go and do further research and most likely will go vegan. He will search out the facts, that's what normally makes him a good debater. His mannerisms are exactly the same as mine when I process information that I know is true but is going against everything that I have been taught and grown up with. I have Aspergers and am vegan. Great work, you definitely have made an impact on him.

      @bobby bobson Before advising information about diet, you need to look up what causes diabetes and heart diseases, it is definitely not sugar, but fat in the muscles is what makes the human body unable to create insulin, therefore becoming insulin-resistant. So in a nutshell, 'fat' makes people 'fat', not sugar. The human body is able to absorb sugar naturally but that is only if the human body is under a normal/healthy state.
      Look up Dr. Neal Barnard and his book/research or watch 'What the Health' for starters.

    • @RedAISkye
      @RedAISkye 4 года назад +30

      @Dark Flex Because an argument isn't valid if it's fallacious. You wouldn't appeal to nature to justify immoral things among the human species or even specific species of animals so you're just creating a double standard and discriminating individuals based on their species just for your taste pleasure. Any reasonable and compassionate human being who can think logically knows veganism is the morally right principle and that there's no justification for killing another sentient being unless if you're in a survival situation where even cannibalism would be justified so you could either "go Vegan and stay consistent with your moral principles or continue living in ignorance and stay a hypocrite while pretending the cruel reality doesn't exist".

    • @RedAISkye
      @RedAISkye 4 года назад +11

      @Dark Flex You have a moral obligation to go Vegan regardless of if someone beat you in a debate or not.

    • @RedAISkye
      @RedAISkye 4 года назад +14

      @Dark Flex A psychopath could say "I don't have a moral obligation to not kill, rape, eat another human being' or an asshole could say "I don't have a moral obligation to not beat my significant other and my kids" but that doesn't negate them from having the obligation just because they say otherwise. You can be a hypocrite and inconsistent with your moral beliefs and continue contributing to animal abuse, you're still morally obligated to discontinue your immoral practice because human slavery back in the day even if it was legal, was still immoral regardless of if people like you used to say "I don't have the moral obligation to not own human slaves and I will always own human slaves".

    • @RedAISkye
      @RedAISkye 4 года назад +10

      @Dark Flex Here we go again speciesist discriminating another individual just because they're not the "same species", the same mindset was used to discriminate against other human beings back in the day. I never said you, I said "people like you", meaning people who had the same mindset as you used to justify slavery back in the day with such fallacious arguments. And no, all people aren't equal so your argument falls flat because you wouldn't agree to justify abusing a human being if they were lower or equal to an animal we abuse like a pig.

      @bobby bobson cholesterol is made from carbohydrates. As long as you eat lots of carbs your liver will produce more then enough for the bodies requiements. Also there are saturated fats in plants, its just the long chain saturated fats that are detrimental. Short and medium chain sat fats are perfectly healthy and can be metabolised properly. Long chain fats are in animal products and oils and they raise LDL which produces atherosclerosis and are deposited in muscle cells as intramyocellularlipids that cause insulin resistance and destroy insulin producing beta cells in the pancreas

      @Michael GambleHi,
      To me, "better" doesn't mean "perfect". So no, it's not even remotely necessary that all wars and crime need to stop in order for the world to be better.
      Cumulatively, people living vegan means that there will be less demand for products that are produced with the necessary and intentional killing of animals needlessly. Ergo, less preventable, intentional, needless violence perpetrated upon innocent sentient individuals in the world necessarily means that a better world was the consequence of those people's cumulative choices.
      Would the world be better if those same people lived vegan AND there was magically no more wars and crime? Sure......but the former (some or many people choosing to live vegan) is an obvious reality while the latter is pure fantasy.
      I'll take a better reality any and every day over a fictional, fantasy, hypothetical perfect world........wouldn't you?

    • @LouisGedo
      @LouisGedo 4 года назад +1

      @Michael Gamble Not surprisingly at all, you have chosen to completely misconstrue my position.
      My extremely accurate contention is that vegan living eliminates as much as practicable and possible one's complicity in *necessary and intentional killing of animals.* I never claimed that living vegan somehow magically makes the vegan some magically perfect human being.......so please stop strawmanning me.
      But if you have two people, a person who lives vegan and a person who chooses to make himself complicit in preventable, intentional, needless violence toward innocent, sentient OTHA's (other than human animals) and both have chosen to buy clothes made in a sweat shop (for the same reason) and in fact all their choices are the same other than the choice to live their life with zero complicity in preventable, intentional, needless violence toward innocent, sentient OTHA's, it *MUST* logically follow then that the vegan is creating the better world over the person choosing to not live vegan (unless you embrace a nonsensical position that more preventable, intentional, needless violence toward innocent, sentient individuals is better.....and then in that case you MUST be in favor of behaviors such as more raping of toddlers, enslaving of Blacks, and randomly kicking dogs in the face).
      "Reality" isn't necessarily subjective......it depends on the usage of the term "reality".

Granted, in this scenario, I am having a chuckle over someone elses way of communicating. Historically, for me, if I even as so much notice a way someone chooses to communicate, I often do impressions of them. It means I find their way endearing. So much so it left an impression on me enough to imitate. All that being said...I've been responding to people with, Hm., for 2 or 3 days now bc it gives me a laugh. He managed himself beautifully in this discussion. He also was quite monotone and deliberate with his vocabulary (one could argue overly deliberate as those two combined can lead others to feel disconnected and therefore your message doesn't land)...similar to a cyborg. I for one, admire his communication skills...I can also see how they are similar to that of a fictional depiction of cyborg. So...I shared my impression. My humor. So yes. Reaaaaalllly.

    Your points might be more clear if you start using the terms ‘relevant difference’ and ‘arbitrary discrimination’. The terms I keep hearing you use are more vague and open up issues in your argument.

    Egotistic altruism is a fair reason to be altruist but it is not the only one and obviously not the only one why we give rights to any being. There is this thing called empathy, slavery helped us built cities and empires nevertheless it was wrong.

      I have been in the hunting, fishing, taxidermy, competitive shooting industry pretty much my whole life. It has been in the family. Our vegan community says the same thing to my family and my children.
      They say it is easy for me to close my business and get another job that doesn't torture animals. I also have a few employees to worry about. I can remain open during these times.
      They also say it is easy for them to get other work. We live in a area where jobs are few and far between.
