doc what if the local anesthesia dont work 100% during not impacted lower wisdom tooth extraction. ofcourse it has pain. what happen to the patient under sedation ? does sedation help the patient if pain occur?
They make sure you're out
By now your teeth are out. I had my wisdoms removed in office with no sedation. I was very comfortable, I had no pain later on either. It was a very easy procedure. This is from someone who has a lot of dental anxiety. I hope this comment can help sooth another patient who is having an extraction.
I'm going in for 18 extractions in 6 more days, they will be giving me iv sedation. I'm nervous. I keep thinking what if I stop breathing during the procedure. Scary. Said they will give a valium before I get into room. Should I be worried?
How did you make out….. I am getting mine on Tuesday same thing as you had…..😵💫.
@@rogerthat.9105 it was great. They gave me something to calm nerves. Of course I was scared , then gave me nitrous gas which calmed me, I don't even remember the ID. The laughing gas made me in a good mood and wanted to talk to everyone. Then boom I woke up and all done. So glad I did it. Finally no more toothaches or pain. Went and got dentures but I don't wear them lol. They feel weird. I can eat better without them
They monitor all vitals during sedation to ensure your safety
how was your experience
@@pitoumil7447 it wasn't bad. The pill they gave me before took anxiety away. I was still worried but couldn't express it lol. Then they gave me nitrous oxide which made me talkative and happy, I don't remember the iv. All of a sudden I woke up and everything's done.. It wasn't as bad as my my anxiety was making it. So glad it's done..no more tooth aches. Ever.
