Home schooling is a reward to both parent and children.
    Tight lines.

It is for sure! A reward that is difficult though, but a reward nonetheless. Lol!

Thanks, Shawn. 4 another fishin video. Homeschooling is a great way to make sure ur children get a good education. The educational system is failing the children of this country. I'm glad u got out n wet a line. God Bless n Fish on Brother!

I agree! We are homeschooling because my son needs 1 on 1 help with his school due to some learning disabilities. Smart kid but needs the assistance. He went from C average and getting in trouble with the teachers weekly 1 B and all the rest A’s right now. Granted he still gets in trouble with his new teacher occasionally (me). Haha! But yeah I agree with you on educational system seeming to focus less on learning and more on conditioning.

Very cool! Ryan does have excellent products. I would love to get one of his 3wt Genesis rods and a 3wt Armor reel but they are not in the budget. God Bless my friend.

Yeah they make awesome stuff! So other than a super cheap Walmart rod, I think their genesis and armor combo is one of the least expensive setups out there. But I’m in the same boat man, I can’t really afford much of this stuff either. I am lucky to have a sponsorship which gets me some free gear. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to afford even the cheapest Walmart rods. Haha! But keep in mind, the quality and ability to cast with these risen rods is very very high compared to the Walmart junk. It will be a night and day difference. There is the policy of diminishing returns when it comes to fly gear. And some of the crazy expensive rods really don’t give much more of a benefit. $1000 rod isn’t 10 times better than the genesis rod. Haha!

@@McFlyAngler you got that right. Back in 2015 my family bought me Cabela's Prestigé 5/6 wt fly rod reel starter kit, pretty nice rod and reel. I just haven't had it out using in much. Maybe 3-4 times at the lake. No streams or rivers yet.

Ain't no shame in tossing some spinning gear once in a while (and even posting a video of you doing it). I realize that you might have contractual obligations with Risen but sometimes tossing a Roostertail around with spinning gear when the fly isn't working helps get the monkey off your back and keeps you coming back. Cheers Shawn.

I don’t actually have contractual obligations to risen. I just didn’t have a spinning rod with me. Haha!
Regarding risen, yes they sponsor me, but they don’t expect me to exclusively use their gear. Especially when a specific gear is not offered by them. I wouldn’t keep a sponsor on that would do that. They are good people there. The sponsorship just is them helping me keep making videos. Kinda more a donation type thing. I was using their gear before they sponsored me. They liked the videos so much they asked what I needed to keep making them. I’m fully able to use other gear, even other fly rod manufacturers gear.

@@McFlyAngler Very cool. I normally reach for a fly rod first (actually broke my TFO today) but I always have 10 or so different rods and my gear locked in the bed of my truck under a hard cover. But it is a pain to cleanup occasionally.

You might as well have fished the gutter in the street.
