Just started using Sketchup, I love the program, and I so happen to come across you YT videos, on how to do, that I've subscribed and Liked you! Thank you for your tutorials.
Justin, you are the BEST! This solved my problem perfectly. There are spiral wrought iron brackets that support a copper standing seam awning above the steps much like a music treble clef symbol on its side 🎼. The extension Curve Maker by Terry R would do the trick but it is apparently not compatible with Sketchup 2017, which is what I have. Any suggestions for a workaround? Thanks again for these great tutorials.
Glad it helped! I haven't done a whole lot of curve modeling, but maybe something like Bezier Spline from Fredo6 would help? Not sure if it does exactly what you're looking for - sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=BezierSpline
Hi, Justin, would you consider doing a tutorial with a curved staircase using a specific radius and finish height? Great tutorials thanks again for sharing your skill. Also, have you had any experience creating Building Information models?
You are a magician. Bow my head before you man.

hi, was trying to download fredoscale extension , but i think its no longer available.
It's still available at SketchUcation
Hint: if you have a surface, you can select it and use it as a path without selecting the lines which define that surface.
Wow - I'm not sure how I didn't know you could do that, but that's a really good tip! Thanks Troy!
Unfortunately it only serves angles up to 180. More than that it does not work. I tried to make a ladder with an angle of 270 and it did not work.
Would it work if you bent it multiple times? Meaning bend it 180 degrees, then re-set your base point and bend it another 90? Thanks for watching!
