I purchased a set of these and they are my go to speakers now. Super easy to carry and they sound incredible. Highly recommend. Your review is spot on little brother.
This should compete very well with the other offerings on the market. It should also be pointed out that the 127db point is the calculated max. You are never going to get that and even if you could it would be distorted. To get a more realistic max on powered speakers subtract 6db from the printed figure. So in real life, expect 121db at 1 meter away from the speaker which is still loud as heck. Still this system and the other column arrays can't play as loud as something like a K12 flown over an 18 inch sub. But loud is not the entire picture. For most of us wedding DJs the Maui will be loud enough. Generally we mostly need to just cover the dancefloor at loud levels which two of these will do. So 80 to 120 wedding guest and this system is good to go. You probably can go higher than that with a added subwoofer. What I like about these systems is the fast setup and very nice sound. You get wide coverage and good throw to the back of the room. At this point where 80% of my gigs are small gigs of less than 100 people, a system like this makes sense for me.
I bought a Maui 28 G3 for my band and am thoroughly impressed with the sound. It doesn't have a built-in mixer which to me is an advantage since I use a Yamaha DM3 to mix the band. It was nice not having to pay for a feature I didn't need. I'm extremely happy with the system and will be buying a second one. Hopefully the cover and bags will be available soon. It seems nobody has those in stock right now.
just upgraded from the 28 G2's.....these are far superior to anything jbl and or ev puts out....they fill the room and are insane with the lows....doesn't matter how big the room these will fill it in a very clean way!
Ur the best bro I love this channel ur the best u teached me how to become a dj now ima dj and I do weddings, birthday parties, graduation parties and also in church’s sometimes the ceremony when they ask for it I’m 17 at a young age making thousands of dollars from djing I love u bro it’s all because of your teaching and helping I’ve been following you since you started this RUclips channel and until now bro ur the best ❤❤ stay strong and stay safe bro 😎
Wow! Thank you my friend. I will be inquiring about them today when I go shopping. You're right! It really does sound beautiful. I do karaoke gigs and me and my singers take the sounds very seriously. Sound quaulity appears to be there. Thanks again.
Great in-depth review, DJ Barr. The LD Systems Maui 28 G3 looks like a serious upgrade. The comparison to the G2 model was helpful. I'm particularly interested in the improved sound clarity and power. As a mobile DJ, portability is key. How does the G3's weight and setup time compare to the previous model? Any noticeable differences in battery life?
Brendan, I've noticed nobody will answer this question. I have the Evolves and I have these G3's on the way. I'll do an A/B comparison of the two, probably next week.
@@MikeSinclairDJServices Thanks Mike would be very interesting however J act went ahead and purchased X2 RCF J8 This morning , literally just did the first audio test at home .So far very impressive..Haven’t gigged them yet obviously but looking forward to giving them a proper blast ..Your response is appreciated Mike .
The first column have different frequency responce than the upper one, so its easy to understand yo can't get a full sound in the bottom of the room is someone is in front of the speaker.... An evox j8 changing the height can give a smoother sound even in the distance
would love to see you do a speaker comparison. I currently have the PRZ915 (coming from the PRX 615 w/ crown amp). I haven't been thoroughly impressed with the 915, and looking to either jump ship to RCP 945 with 18 subs (expensive) or go to column arrays with either EV Evolve 50's or RCF Evox 12's
I have taken delivery of 2x maui 28g3s today. I will be using both in a small bar that love loud music. How close can I set these up together as my space is about 6 feet by 6 feet. Just worried about any phase distortion issues.
I have a hard time choosing between a pair of 28 or 44. I have two 28 G1 now for 6 years. They never have let me down. I miss the power for events with about 150-180 people in a small to medium size room. We have a smaller band 2 to 4 piece band.. I can handle about 100-120 people with the 28 G1 pair at party volume. The G3 version is about twice the cost of the G1. I bought a pair G1's with the bags for 1680 euro. Going from 115db to about 127 is significant. Is it enough for 200 people or should i get the 44 G2?
I saw in a past video that you used a Circuit Breaker Identifier to find out if the wall receptacle to see if two wall outlets are on the same breaker . can you tell me what was the name of that tool .
- Maui 28 G2 = 48 (16 X 3) ; Maui 28 G3 = 42 (12 X 3,5) (...) And therefore fewer mediums for the G3 ?!? - Maui 28 G2 = 126 DB ; Maui 28 G3 = 127 DB (...) The 1 DB difference can only come from the bass ?!? Are the 28 G3s really better in sound quality ? More bass, yes ; but better sound ? Isn't the sub G2 more appropriate than the sub G3 for playing Twist, Rock'n'roll 50's ; 70's Disco ; Latino (salsa, cha-cha, ...) ?!?
The only column-array with 12" sub and with 3" voicecoil - just the upgrade Maui 28 needed, I never liked the 2x8" sub. An extra 15" sub (fx ICOA 15) under the DJ table/behind the facade and 200 guest would be OK i think

Hey Barr I have been watching since i was 8 years and now I’m 13 and I really love you content bro thank you for all this amazing content
The LDs are incredible sounding speakers
Just placed my order. Can't wait til next week.

Much better than G2 system ? Or Just a Little bit difference ?
Evolve killers
How exactly are they better than ev50m? If only it came with a mixer it would be great.
@@akxeel evolves sound hollow - they are missing something in the midrange

What happened to "NEW VIDEOS EVERY WEEK"........PFFFFFFFFT
Same as me !!!!!!
Yea what happened
You forgot to explain the cardioid mode for the column... They claim it can reduce a lot of the sound behind the column
Great seeing you again! Awesome review.
I’ve been waiting forever for you to post again! Glad your back!
do you have any opinion on this vs evolve 50? have you heard both?
The maui28g3 is the one!

Barr you make video RCF j8 vs this will be awesome. But I am shure this won't happen ever.
Hi Barr,Is the Maui 28 G3 on par with the EV Evolve 50 ? Thanks 🙏
I'm wondering the same thing

Awesome stuff! Really straight forward and awesome knowledge
Awesome video bro, love your info. Im looking to buy these but not sure if i should wait til 2024 to see the built in mixer... damn...lol
maui 28 g3 looks 🔥 - just put my RCF J8s for sale 😂
😂🥳☺️ Think am pulling the plug on the Maui 28 G3…waited while for all in 1 system

Yessir , another video 🤙🏻
Hi can I pair a G3 with a older G2 for stereo operation and if so how would i connect them thanks
this vs rcf evox j8?
what u think of the ld curve 500ts it has way more bass than Ev evolve 50 and I say Evox 12 as well Db es1203?
Great sound ever LD
Are these speakers for DJing.....or Home Theater for movie watching?
I'll highly recommend the RCF J8 it's cheaper may even sound better..
Just bought x2 RCF J8 today
Literally just did the first audio test this morning so far very impressed.
Anyone compared those two speakers?
What is the best lights and speakers for a party
How is this for outdoor residential patio party 0-50 people?
No reverb ?
How do u compare to bose pro 16
What about thw evolves???

I read this somewhere too. You can't hook up a pair to the same outlet?
Thoughts on this vs. the JBL PRX One?

No, only 44g2 can do this
You can only Bluetooth into one -
Can you rock a party of say 50 to 75 ppl with just 1 maui 28 ?

This 12” will be 100% better then the evox 8 most of all sound better for most gigs
None of these column array’s have enough power. 127 is nothing. My regular RCF 745’s are 132 Db. Just doesn’t make sense for the cost.
Love your chanel, but maybe stop clapping. Its a hell using headphones.
Kinda too small but for 50pax party is ok..
Go for the Maui 44G2 if you need more beans
@@theweddingspinner7340 We use the FBT CLA 406.2 series because of the multiple use of those loudspeakers.

JBL PRX ONE is more better

Better than EV50?
Sound like Curv 500?
I own the Curvs - and they bang. 15 inch subs.
