Great video, Ollie. First of all, once again congrats ont he engagement! A lot of progress, for sure. Your wasps were big... almost looked like hornets. It may well be that you did have some wasps get in (and some types, like Yellow Jackets here int he USA, love to bore through wood), and once trapped, they ate away at the sealing around the pipe where the wood cut-out was. We had a yellow jacket infestation on my front door a few years ago. Darn things chewed through the caulking and were burrowing through the drywall. Mildly expensive exterminator and repair job that.
I have a huge phobia of wasps too so I’m pretty glad these were dead, especially if they were hornets as they were pretty big! Last thing I need is a wasp invasion on top of all the other work that needs doing! 😂
Thank you for another wonderful video Wardle Roads
Thank you for wonderful video Wardle Roads
Congratulations on the engagement Ollie! 👏good progress with the brake van, noticed you have in general put most of the brake rigging back dry, are you going to add some grease to the moving parts later? Wasps are attracted to small holes which they can enlarge, rotten wood is also a fav so they can chew it up, to make their paper nests.
All the rigging will get a coat of grease and oil! Just glad the wasps were dead when they fell out haha
Coming on a treat, and congratulations on your engagement.
Appreciate it thanks 🙂👍
congratulations Ollie. hope you be very happy you two
Thank you!!
Congrats on you engagement. Regarding the water in the roof I think anyone who says water can't run uphill has never tried restoring an old vehicle.
That’s very wise words there!
Congratulations to both of you
Thanks John ☺️
You need PTFE tape wrapped around the thread to seal the tapered screw and ear defenders on when using it!
Look closely I do have PTFE tape on it and look again I have ear plugs 😂
Thanks
Thank you so much Colin!
Keep up the good work mate.....small steps taken and you'll get there. Congrats too by the way.
Appreciate it Steve, yes many many small steps to go 😂
congrats on the engagement Wardle Road
Cheers Mels!
Well done on your engagement to Tianna Ollie. Maybe you could hold the ceremony in the brake van. lol Seriously though...its all coming along great. And I'm really enjoying the diaries.
Glad you’re enjoying mate! Views are slowing dropping off the series though, might need to give the brake a break 😂 appreciate the kind words Tim :)
Congratulations on your engagement.
Thank you!
congratulations
Cheers Luke! 🙂
@@WardleRestorations no problem
Congratulations on your engagement.
The brake van is certainly coming on. Looking forward to seeing it run once completed
Thank you and likewise, will be a good day when it does!
Needle guns and 'windy hammers' (compressed air driven chipping hammer) I've used those noisy devils a lot, in my RN career - part of the endless re-paint ship - getting the rust off! Eye protection and ear defenders were essential.
Yes I’d have left the railway with a migraine if I hadn’t used ear plugs!
Congratulations Ollie .Hope you have a fantastic life together.
Thank you Barrie!
Massive congrats on getting engaged, a nice simple video, could you use like sealant you use around baths to make them water tight around the furnace to keep water out ?? the fact only 2 wasps had fallen out and where dead makes me thing there isnt anything else up in that roof, will the entire roof be checked to see if its rotten like that corner or is it a strip the old paint and paint situation
Entire roof will be checked! And thanks for the kind words, in the next video I remove some of the inside cladding to inspect the condition of the internal structure!
Congrats Ollie and Tianne ☺️
Thank you Matt!
Congratulations to you both 👍🏾👍🏾it’s great news. I feel a wedding on a train coming on 😀😀☹️
I’m behind on the videos so this enabled me to catch up but those wasps were scary.
Are you going to GETS in October?
Cheers Kev
Thanks for watching & the kind words, regarding GETS, really not sure yet....
I love how it cuts from you proposing to the brake van
From one side of your life to the other
When 2 worlds collide 😂
Hey Ollie, firstly congratulations to you and Tianna❤❤❤ I think they were Hornets and not Wasps either way you are better off without them. Pleased to see the brake wheel working, great update. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks for the kind words and donation Colin, really can’t thank you enough! Yes glad they were dead! Haha
Congratulations mate and great work on the break van
Thank you! Appreciate it 🙂
Hooray 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations you guys on getting engaged. Great work yet again Ollie 👍👍🚂🚃
Thank you dude, slow progress but better than nothing!
@@WardleRestorations well rome wasn't built in a day, but that's why I wouldn't be able to do it cos I just don't have the patience for it 😅
Congratulations, Ollie and Tianna! I am so happy for you both. All the best wishes for the future together, sir.
That was a neat gift of a needle gun there from Machine Mart. I hope it goes a long way. The finish on the lamp in the box with the Deox C was amazing. It looks far more solid than it first did too. Good that the brake mechanism is back together and working, the main function of the van, after all. Yeah, Bloody Hornets! I have a few stories of wasps and hornets in various work-places. Great progress on the Brake Van and fantastic news for Tianna and yourself. Keep Safe, Ollie. Catch up again soon. All the best!
Thank you for the kind words and the donation too, yes there was quite a lot to take in from that episode 😂 glad you enjoyed it, yeh the Deox C is fantastic! Got another lamp to try it on so I’ll see how that does too!
Hi Ollie Congratulations on the engagement! The brake van is certainly coming on in leaps and bounds and you seem to have someone else helping you now, thats good. That lamp looks brilliant, far far better than before and new tools to do the hard stuff, Great work sir.
Thanks Peter! I feel like over the next few episodes we are going to make some HUGE progress but we'll just have to wait and see :)
Congrats, I hope you both have a long and happy life together.👍
Appreciate it thank you!
Thanks
