I totally love you already! Your instructions are SO clear. I consider myself a beginner/intermidiate self taught knitter, and I really appreciate your nice, easy directions. Thank you very much!
This is funny last week I was looking for this pattern and now I see you made this video. Though the pattern I found is smooth without the ridges from the garter stitch. Like the video though I like coming your videos for reference.
Hi I love your Vidio I have just stated you pattan so easy can you tell how many stitches would I need for a baby's cargdian and a hat hope you can help with this
I need help in determining which row I'm on! I'll put it down - pick it up hours or days later, and to save myself can't figure out which row I was on. :P
I second Patricia's comment. I am looking to try a pair of Signature straight needles and I debating between the 10" and 14". What size did you use in this video?
Hi Liat, love your video. Very clear and easy to follow. So I'd like to get the Signature needles, buy the yarn, and follow your pattern to knit my first lace scarf. It would be fun! Could you tell me what needle length to get? The Signature web site shows 3 choices: 7", 10", or 14".
Thank you for a very clear tutorial, could you clarify something for me though. In the video instructions you give the pattern repeat as (K2tog)x3times,(yo, K1)x6times, (K2tog)x3times making 18 stitches + the 2 knits either end. In your written pattern though it says the last knit 2 together only twice not 3 times. Which of these is correct? Are there any special tips for working with railroad gate style/cha cha yarn in this pattern? Thanks for your help Liat.
Oh man, you're so right. This is a common problem. I actually have made a video on how to know what row you're on, I just haven't posted it on the blog yet. Here's a link straight to the video: vimeo (dot) com / 69388331. I hope this helps! I'll also be posting the video here on KnitFreedom when I get a minute.

I'm so glad you found this video! Thank you so much for coming back to view my videos over and over. I'm so glad you enjoy them.
Just bought a full set of signature circulars. Really am liking them.
Hi Joyce,
Congratulations! I think you're going to love them. They're the only straight needle we use.
I used this feather & fan pattern when I knit afghans years ago. I love this pattern & am going to take up knitting afghans again
Thank you so very much, this really turned the light bulb on for me in the pattern I'm working on.

Thankyou for your great video on this Feather and Fan.
How do you keep the bound-off edge wavy like the cast-on edge? When I've done this pattern, the bound-off edge flattens out .
Thanks for this tutorial it is very helpful to me.
some how on FF I changed to the wrong side. Is the two knit rows, RS WS. thanks for your great site!
