@@Sky-lm4rv Dream admits he couldn't stand a chance against Lucifer... But they're both powerful enough that they'd definitely fuck up each others shit if they did go at it.
Relatable. It's actually quite common for comic fans to not know what the comic book writers and artists whose works they have enjoyed actually look like in real life unless they are generally well-known like Jim Lee or Stan Lee.
It's crazy to me that years ago I watched the entire show not knowing then who Neil Gaiman was and years later, only after watching good omens and finding out more about him, I find out he's been in an episode of the show that I watched long ago and I didn't even realise it
1602? I've read it and thought it was pretty good. I kinda wish they made a movie about it but they'd probably need to get new actors for the characters and I think a lot of fans would hate that. Still good, though. The art, characters and story were good.
That's just lazy writing... the characters were more than familiar with Neil Gaiman's work, but had never seen a picture of Neil Gaiman? Never once looked him up? These guys are supposed to be almost permanently connected to the internet. And they would not even have to, his photo is on almost every published work of his! Sheldon, with his idetic memory, even looks directly at Neil BOTH times he appears at the comic book store. And neither Stuart nor Denise ever realise he was in the store? Untidy hair, British accent? Did not even care to ask "are you him"? (and yes, I remember about the time Raj would believe that Nathan Fillion was actually Nathan Fillion) I cannot decide whether this or the "Batman-Manbat-Batmanman" gag was the least inspired moment in the show.
Well, I love Christopher Paolini's Eragon but I don't know what the guy looks like, nor Patrick Rothfuss, I only know I loved the Name of the wind, so I don't think it's as uncommon to not know what the person behind the book looks like
Sorry but it’s Stuart England when people thought women were witches or maybe both but I might be wrong I haven’t really looked at that era of history in a long time
Haha no, I was once at a signing of his where he compared being told "You don’t write comics, you write gRaPhIc NoVeLs" to being a sex worker told she's "not a whole, but a lAdY oF the EvEnInG."
I love how Neil gets shot down the way he does. He is very humble with his work and is a great writer.
Real salt of the earth guy, very friendly. Hard to believe that at least one member of that nerdcule didn't recognize him on sight though.
Reminiscent of his Simpsons appearance, in a way.
I wonder how many people that don't read comicbooks (or books in general) didn't understand what the joke was, and who Neil Gaiman is anyway...
Quite a lot, I think...
Writer of The sandman from Endless Family, he's so high rank of DC character, even Lucifer can't handle him.
@@Sky-lm4rv Dream admits he couldn't stand a chance against Lucifer... But they're both powerful enough that they'd definitely fuck up each others shit if they did go at it.
@kaza12345678 good but still can't hold a candle to their respective original books and novels, despite veing amazing movies and shows ^^
Who Neil Gaiman is?
He is the effing GOAT!!!
"let me guess... Everyone thinks the Xmen are witches..."
"...... Yeah...."
I could feel that heart break.
This is the best thing to ever happen on this show
low bar but yeah. (Summer Glau being a close 2nd)
Even his cameo on Simpsons was funny actually.

@@AshrafAnam He actually is. But… not really outside of huge fantasy and SF geek Dom.
@@Luka1180 yeah that's what I meant. He is not *generally* well-known
I dunno, he was on the simpsons an in the big bang theory obviously... He's pretty notorious.
THE Neil Gaiman?! Oh I adore him and his work.
I feel bad for Neil on this one. But the funny thing is he just went on with it like a normal person! Lol!
Sheldon looks at gailman but didn't recognise him.
So much for his idetic memory....
Maybe because he looks like a elderly Hobo.
especially when he look at Gaiman a couple times and not noticing it's neil gaiman ( 0:52 , 1:09 . 1:16 , 1:22)
Neil Gaiman is my favorite author. Love that dude
That lil “yeah”
This is the perfect example of they won't know a god when one speaks to them
Why was Neil referring to himself in the third person... why not just say "I wrote a book like that"
bc they don't know he's Neil Gaiman and he didn't want to show off like haha I'm Neil Gaiman, he was talking about his work
Because this fictionalized version of him doesn't want to look arrogant?
Because apparently he in real Life is very humble.
More honest reaction.
Want to meet Neil Gaiman so bad.
I still can't believe this guy is 6 days younger than my dad. Great writer!! Very humble man.
Nerd moments and references like this are the best.
Hey I just read 1602 its pretty good.
I love 1602. I have an idea for a DnD character based off of 1602 Daredevil actually
Marvel 1602 is very good to be fair.
In the ocmics anyway. That What If episode about it wasn't very good.
@@DianaGohan a fair price few of them aren’t good
all that success and the best part he can´t even read

It was from The Simpsons: The Book Job! It's a good episode.
