- Earlier today, I was reminded of one of my favorite Arthur episodes which I learned years later had Neil Gaiman so I decided to isolate just his scenes - enjoy :)
Every time I hear Neil Gaiman's actual voice in Arthur of all things, it hits like a frozen turkey leg to the face, but by God do I love it
Your comment made me laugh so hard I started coughing
That's the same réaction I have when I discover he is on tumblr
Best comment I've ever read, lol. I feel the very same way. You win the internet! 😂
neil gaiman? what are you doing in my falafel?
Lucky. All I got was Alan Moore in my burrito.
Someone wrote that. And they must have been so pleased that they're being paid to do it too.
At least he didn’t teach her to say “Wait and see”
😂😂😂
Best comment haha
@@personinthepalace Pin it! 😂
@@personinthepalace PIN THIS
Would love to pin it but sadly youtube took that away from me :(
@@personinthepalace wait how?
considering that Neil Gaiman was good friends with Terry Pratchett, imagine what it would've been like if he guest starred instead.
“Terry Pratchett What are you doing in my Basbousa?”
Neil Gaiman as a furry
I wonder how many celebrities have OFFICIAL fursons
I wonder what Amanda Palmer would like as a furry...Wait, never mind...I just started a thousand fetishes....
I wish I had an inner Neil Gaiman...
Or meet him...
Why can't stuff like this happen to me?
Edit: This is still the best video on the internet idec
The trick is to get a falafel
How do I get an inner Solidus Snake?
He's also in Tumblr
This episode introduced me to Neil Gaiman. Arthur is one of the GOATS.
YOU CAN'T JUST ABANDON YOUR FALAFEL LIKE THAT
my friend is planning to get neil gaiman what are you doing in my falafel tattooed on him. i am obsessed with this friend
i'm obsessed with them too
Alright, I'm also obsessed and I need to know when this tattoo is getting done
we need an update, please, I'm begging you!
@@gamesingreen8449 i don't think he ended up doing it which is kind of a good thing given recent developments
@@sam_is_on_mars wait, is Neil Gaiman getting cancelled or something?
Oh, catboy Neil Gaiman from Arthur, we're really in it now.
HAHAHA I REMEMBER THE NEIL IN THE FALAFEL SCENE ITS SO FUNNY TO ME NOW
Im gonna buy a falafel, and I'm gonna be very disappointed if neil gaiman isnt in it
What would have happened if Neil Gaiman gave her a copy of Sandman?
Free trauma for the child👍🏼✨️
@@soulwinner9926 I mean Coraline isn't light-hearted either.
this is a silly thing to be emotional about, i know, but this episode of arthur really gets to me!!! im going to write abt it down here :]
i read and watched good omens in 2019 soon after the tv show came out. i was 14, in the summer between 8th and 9th grade, and i loved good omens in a way i hadn't ever loved anything before.
i've always had quite an advanced reading level, but at that point i had never been presented with books intended for adults. i was in middle school so the on-level books were middle-grade and the next level of books is young adult. i have never liked young adult books. because of that (combined with ADHD) i thought i just didn't like reading, that books weren't for me. and then i read good omens and i absolutely adored it. it was a funny, engaging, and mature style of writing i'd never seen before, it was high-stakes, it was unique, and it was unapologetic about being full of fun characters (especially aziraphale and crowley, of course!). it really made me realize that i could like books if i just looked in the right places (notably the adult section).
more relevant to this episode, though, the book and the show got me into writing again. i loved to write as a kid, filling up pages upon pages of a composition notebook with my fourth-grade magnum opus, but i fell out of love with it when i learned about that pesky idea of writing being "good" or "bad". i wrote for fun, and then i started really caring about its quality, to the point that i couldn't stand to write anything without doubting and hating it. often, i would think of the invisible audience and what they would like. i tried not to be too self-indulgent. but good omens was just... so incredibly *me* indulgent! it had so many things that i liked in it, as mentioned already. and it was by neil gaiman and terry pratchett! two popular authors! it was a popular book! it had a lot of fans! there were plenty of people like me, who enjoy the things i enjoy! also, and i swear this is actually critical, it was in third-person. i've since realized i basically only like writing in third person! that (literal) new perspective really did a lot.
i'm 18 now and i just got my first tattoo. it's good omens related and on my right wrist, because that's my writing hand and i want it to be visible if i feel uninspired, so i can be reminded of the lessons that good omens taught me. the fact that furry neil gaiman inside the falafel tells sue-ellen some of the same exact things that i learned from his book makes me feel a lot of things. that tattoo is, in a way, my own inner neil gaiman. i think it's very lovely that he took the time to go on a kids' show and teach those lessons near-directly to children who could really take them to heart :].
Good luck, mate!
Rejoice your writing, and I wish you to find others who will enjoy your writing.
@@kapasian9009 tyvm :]!
exactly!! i had a similar experience reading neils work, his writing style is similar to mine, and before i read his work it had been something i was unsure and insecure about. it's such a comfort and these clips are really helping inspire me to write again, even if it's from a kids show episode! :) good luck with your writing! there will always be an audience for your work
I like this comment a lot! Good Omens is very dear to me as well, and not just GO, but thanks to the show, i thought I could read the novel. Before it arrived i tried out reading some of Terry Pratchett's work and realized, that I do like reading! I just read the wrong books!
Hello! I had a very similar experience, with reading and writing, and ADHD. I loved writing, but I never felt I was good enough, so I always hid my work and eventually stopped. I didn't ever read because all the children's & y/a novels I didn't find interesting. I just thought I was bad at reading and writing, despite having an above average reading level. I'm 16 at the moment, but this past sophomore year I met a very encouraging teacher and a cool friend with some good recommendations and I actually started reading! Like full on mature books! And I freaking love it! I knew about Good Omens in 2019, but fully watched it before the release of s2 this summer, and loved that as well. I started listening to the book for free online. I haven't been in the fandom too long, but man, Neil Gaiman is very cool, and is further encouraging my book exploration. I love the clips from this episode that I've seen because they're just so sweet and I really wish I had access to this kind of encouragement as a younger child. 🥺 (positive) Not that I'm done learning. I still very much appreciate Neil Gaiman and I can't wait to do a deep dive into his books and more authors when I can save up the money. 😊 (thank you for sharing your story, and thank you for letting me share! It feels good to know I'm not alone. 💝)
Can't believe the comments haven't been turned off..yet.
If I had a nickel for every time a celebrity voiced themselves on Arthur and then later on got exposed for committing crimes, I'd have two nickels
Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice
Now i REALLY want to draw Neil’s fursona
I want to see his Spidersona. And Gemsona.
If they didnt get alan Rickman to do Snape theyd probably have opted for him
Happy to know Neil Gaiman's fursona is a catboy
That awkward moment when Neil Gaiman is in your falafel
My Good Omens brainrot filled head lost it at 'circles and triangles'
Coraline is a human on the book cover. Are humans some kind of fantasy race here?
Aaahhhhhh, my brain!!!!!!
I grew up watching this show.
Remember these appearances but had no idea this was a real author.
Years later I find joe hill who then leads me to Neil gaiman
Today I find this clip and it all comes together. Wow
0:13 CORALINE!
Best thing Neil Gaiman has ever said is "You can't just abandon your falafel like that!"
i love neil gaiman so much WHY HE ISNT MY DAD? WHY GOD, WHY???
when time resets will neil remain
I am actually crying
The fact that this man is infiltrating my RUclips recommended and my sleep is concerning to me
i fucking love Neil Gaiman's work, I personally love good omens and coraline! I recently got into good omens, but Coraline was my childhood book and movie, and i honestly loved both!
Good Omens must be one of the funniest books I have ever read. Pratchett and Gaiman did a great job.
I'm sad now
I haven't thought about neil gaiman in falafel since i was like 7
THIS IS GREAT
NEIL GAIMAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY FALAFEL????
Random question: what animal is he supposed to be?
looks like a cat
@@moo2897 that would make sense, he often writes cats as benevolent and mystical creatures in his books
@@lavenderstarzzz oo that cool I really need to get into his books I'm just starting with good omens because of the show
car 🚙
Catboy Neil
I was afraid the poster behind him at the book signing was American Gods. What a guy that Neil Gaiman
This is so unrealistic everyone knows Neil Gaiman doesn't groom his hair that often😂😂😂 then again he is playing a cat and we all know cats love to groom themselves often!!!
Mans hooking it up with the hot sauce 🔥
Happy Black Friday
Wednesday 17th April 2024. The only Neil Gaiman books I know are Stardust and Caroline. Best of luck. Bless you. From Virginia Clark. 🙂🦋🐦🐕🌈
This is why Neil needs to be kept away from his underage fans. Just because you're a feline falafel doesn't mean it's not grooming...
Better choice in shows to appear in than Big Bang Theory at least.
THEY MADE HIM A FURRY!!! THIS IS A NIGHTMARE!!! JK
... That means Coraline and Sandman are canon in Arthur
Arthur is just like our world basically, except for all the fursonas.
First Lance Armstrong, now Neil Gaiman. Celebrity guests on Arthur are turning out to be horrible people. Matt Damon better keep his nose clean, or he'll never eat lunch in this town again!
Get away from him, Sue Ellen!
Neil's probably sees her dad is a big imposing figure I'm pretty sure he will keep his distance knowing that Dad could beat the tar out of him😂😂 that would be one heck of a "cat fight"!!
Reccomending a child caroline?
Hell yeah!!! ❤
And coraline*
In your meal 😂😂😂\
Neil is so nice AND based
Lol

Nobody cares about the Arthur Vining Davis logo...
@BaronSengir1008 obviously you do since you took time out your day to comment on a post from 2 months ago. Next time do yourself a favor if you don't like something keep scrolling instead of trying to be so negative. Have the day you deserve 😊
@@Stacey_ I did keep scrolling... Over half of the comments were you going on about the logo...
@BaronSengir1008 so what does that have to do with you?..
