As far as creativity, this may be the top design video yet. It is so out of the box it was awesome, not really a bad one in the batch at all. A++ for this designer!!!!
13:37 although there are so many good ones, I had no trouble choosing a favorite. This Kings one is unbelievably good. That royal purple looks so good with that black and silver
Bailey! He was named in honor of Garnet "Ace" Bailey, the team's Director of Pro Scouting who was aboard United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston's Logan Airport on September 11, 2001
These are insane. And I mean that in the absolute BEST way possible. Some of them feel sacrilegious as a Coyotes fan but I don’t care, Dr. Mick is a legend for even thinking about this, let alone doing it and doing it so damn well!
How can one rank any of the team mascots? Mascot names, by franchise: Anaheim Ducks -- Wild Wing, the Duck Arizona Coyotes -- Howler, the Coyote Boston Bruins -- Blades, the Bruin Buffalo Sabres -- Sabretooth, the Tiger Calgary Flames -- Harvey, the Hound Carolina Hurricanes -- Stormy, the Pig/Caroline, the Pig Chicago Black Hawks -- Tommy Hawk, the Hawk Colorado Avalanche -- Bernie, the Saint Bernard Columbus Blue Jackets (Present)* -- Stinger, the Yellowjacket Dallas Stars -- Victor E. These are awesome! Not sure if you noticed, or if someone else has commented this yet, but it looks like on the retro Sabes one, the stick has a hand guard similar to a legit sabre and their logos!
This is awesome. The level of details and references is through the roof. My favourite concept is the LA King with the crown. Also, I happy to see my two favourite mascots ever in this video Badaboum (Quebec) and Youppi! (Montreal).
14:12 His name is Bailey after Ace Bailey who was a scout for the Kings when he died. He was on the plane that crashed into the south tower of the World Trade Center on 9/11. A nice gesture from the Kings to always remind us all about Ace. Rest in peace.
What I love so much about about the fisherman is that it’s wearing the primary Islanders jersey, not the fisherman jersey. While the fisherman is there, it doesn’t replace the original jersey that so many Isles fans love. Great job on the Isles one, DrMick, and on all 44 of them. And to you Neil, love the vids. Keep it up!
This was such a cool video, I absolutely love the concept and it was very well executed. The Sharks design was so freaking good too, I would love to see that on merch or even a jersey. I think I agree though, the goat head buffalo design was the best.
This was an excellent set to see. I am a fan of the kachina jersey as I was in Phoenix when the Coyotes arrived and loved how the jersey represented the culture in Arizona. Now applying that style to the rest of the league with their mascots was great. Here are my top 5, I couldn't pick one: 1. San Jose: Love how the stick is a playback to their logo, and the tape used the "fix" it 2. Los Angeles: Love how the cape was incorporated and used a color that was in their past in purple. Great look. 3. Buffalo Retro: This look is amazing. Love how the sabre hilt is part of the hockey stick. 4. Seattle: Love the look of the Kraken like this absolutely amazing 5. Pittsburgh: It just flows so nicely as it belongs. I really liked Vegas, Ottawa, New Jersey, Chicago Alternate, Anaheims, Columbus, and Atlanta as well.
I love the detail in the sticks. Like how the Columbus one looked like an old rifle. My only complaint about the Islanders is that he wasn't wearing the Fishsticks jersey
Edmonton also has an existing kachina style logo with a field worker using a hockey stick as a jack drill. it was a shoulder patch for almost 15 years.
i can explain the red wings mascot situation, Al Sobotka was the man who first threw an octopus on the ice after a hat trick, he had been a part of the organization for decades and was recently fired earlier this year for urinating in between 2 zambonies (closed off area that nobody could really see him in) due to a medical condition that causes him to have the urge to urinate wherever he is, even tho it was an all male staff, one of the workers reported him and he was fired, it was rumored he will file a lawsuit against the team, a really sad story to a huge part of the wings organization
I LOVE this concept! The amount of work that has gone into this is insane. Great fresh concepts~! Bruins one is a bit Five Nights of Freddy but in the best way.
The guy that was fired, was the Zamboni driver for Detroit redwings not the mascot mascot was just a declaration that hung from the roof is the only NHL mascot that wasn’t a costume
I am from New Zealand but follow your videos alot Thankyou for your Awesome uploads. Pittsburgh Penguins is my favorite Awesome design and yes totally fits 👍
An idea for a reaction video, I've seen you've reacted to defunct ECHL logos, I was thinking maybe you could do defunct AHL logos , there's been some pretty interesting ones
When you mentioned about your mascot, I was going to say, really!? Cuz I’ll give you our Gritty for yours! 🤣 and I didn’t get the “O” on the Philly Flyers jersey……?
I don't usually like to be the "um actually" guy, but there are a couple things that I think should be mentioned in context to Detroit and LA's kachina-fied logos The Red Wings worker was the guy who used to twirl the octopus whenever someone threw one on the ice. He has a medical condition that caused an issue and he had to urinate down a drain hole. He was caught and the Wings outright fired him, knowing about his medical history and not caring. Al wasn't his name. Al was the octopus that hung from the rafters of Joe Louis Arena. The Kings mascot is named after Gaernet "Ace" Bailey, who was a scout for the Kings. He was on the plane that crashed into the WTC on 9/11.
My favorites are Chicago Blackhawks (first), Los Angeles Kings (first), Nashville Predators and Seattle Kraken, but the best to me is Columbus Blue Jackets (the zombie-like soldier)
I know you covered most of the bases already but I'd love to see more in this style. Maybe minor league teams once all NHL possibilities you want to tackle are done.
after additional viewing: these NEED to be licensed and sold in the lobby quarter-payment machines in every ice rink in North America. Appreciated on a deep level, (from a guy who grew up as an "other" hockey sibling).
@@dominiccarranza2184 he's dead wrong on his whole take. He was talking about Anaheim specifically and Anaheim is not considered the desert by a long shot.
Thank you so much for taking the time to react to my designs, Neil! I’m honored by your kind words. Keep being awesome!
Brother, these truly are incredible!
Unreal designs. Good job.
The Mick E Moose one is incredible
Goathead and bruins was lit mate!
I didn’t want this video to end! Great job 👏🏻 very talented
Love how the hockey sticks for Buffalo actually resembled sabres with the guard at the top of the stick. Or the Blue Jackets resembling a rifle.
Canes had the warning flag dangle at the end of the stick too.
This would be cool if Arizona hosted the ASG and all the teams had these logos on their jersey
22:32 major "danger zone" fibes. Best design concepts yet. Great job dr.mick.
Bailey! He was named in honor of Garnet "Ace" Bailey, the team's Director of Pro Scouting who was aboard United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston's Logan Airport on September 11, 2001

Mum, can we get frosted flakes?
*We have Frosted Flakes at home.*
💀
This is probably my favourite video from your channel. Those designs were all fantastic and the idea was creative and out of the box.

It's on both of the Sabres logo
19:47 “He looks a little sad.” Of course he’s sad, he lives in St. Louis.
Shots fired but so true.

This is the best hockey design video I’ve seen anywhere! Holy schnikies these were FABULOUS! Great job Dr. Mick!
4:09 looks like 5 nights at Freddie’s 😂
But still a good logo

This. Was. AWESOME. The small details (like the Sharks stick being taped back together) are so awesome. My only complaint is that there aren't more.
This was such a cool video, I absolutely love the concept and it was very well executed. The Sharks design was so freaking good too, I would love to see that on merch or even a jersey. I think I agree though, the goat head buffalo design was the best.
Alan Shields

South Lanarkshire
Scotland.
The first Kings design
The Buger King King is my favourite.
The Chicago blackhawks one makes it look like Blackhawk is winking at the user

6:23 - THANK YOU, this what I been saying XD
17:22 - also best immediate reaction bwahaha
Wow! What an amazing project! I loved watching this and seeing the interesting takes on the katchina for each team is great.
I love the detail in the sticks. Like how the Columbus one looked like an old rifle.
My only complaint about the Islanders is that he wasn't wearing the Fishsticks jersey
Wow. That was amazing. Incredible work for each and every one of them!
7:31 the ghost of Brent Burns or Joe Thornton straight up
This is by far my favorite video. These designs are awesome
Edmonton also has an existing kachina style logo with a field worker using a hockey stick as a jack drill. it was a shoulder patch for almost 15 years.
These ideas just keep getting crazier! I love it!
Was not a concept that I thought I’d ever hear, but the art was absolutely great!
There was so much potential for a Kansas City Scouts kachina themed logo
i can explain the red wings mascot situation, Al Sobotka was the man who first threw an octopus on the ice after a hat trick, he had been a part of the organization for decades and was recently fired earlier this year for urinating in between 2 zambonies (closed off area that nobody could really see him in) due to a medical condition that causes him to have the urge to urinate wherever he is, even tho it was an all male staff, one of the workers reported him and he was fired, it was rumored he will file a lawsuit against the team, a really sad story to a huge part of the wings organization
Omg!! ALL!!!! of these are epic!! I 100% agree with the 90s Sabres!! 🤘🤠
These designs are great and well thought out. Hats off to the designer
Badaboum is the Nordiques mascot. He was introduced for Rendezvous 87. He’s an otter.
I did not expect to enjoy these as much as I did. Job very well done.
This was probably the best concept video ever!
The Kings mascot Bailey is named after Garnet "Ace" Bailey. He was the director of pro scouting for the Kings. He was killed in the 9/11 attacks.
Did you notice with the Sabres mascots they made the end of the stick look like the handle of a Sabre
The on-stream reveals for these were always fun 😄 (and I know nothing about sports)
So amazing! Love this vid! So many great ones which was super unexpected. So great
Haven’t watched yet but I can already tell these will be fun and ridiculous
I had no idea what to expect, but these are great!
Lady Liberty has the exact expression of someone who blocked a shot with their shin
👏👏👏 Dr Mick. A lot of bangers! Very inventive.
ALL water animals were AMAZING, Red with the Octopus, Kraken, Penguins, Sharks, and Canucks are all GREAT! 🐙🦑🐧🦈🐋
I LOVE this concept! The amount of work that has gone into this is insane. Great fresh concepts~! Bruins one is a bit Five Nights of Freddy but in the best way.
Pretty sure that "spooky old soldier" was meant to be Union War hero and U.S. president Ulysses S. Grant. 😆
The guy that was fired, was the Zamboni driver for Detroit redwings not the mascot mascot was just a declaration that hung from the roof is the only NHL mascot that wasn’t a costume
Sharks is my fav I love the detail with the cracked Stick that is tryna get taped up
Where did you get that wild hat to match the retro reverse jersey the only hat I could find is the stocking cap
Dicks Sporting Goods when they were released.
Awesome concept, absolutely enjoyed this one. Only downside is the lack of an Edmonton Hunter Logo, I kind of expect that fever dream to be included.
Love the idea, a little sad as an oiler fan Hunter didn’t get one tho. But still loved the logos
As an Anaheim Ducks fan, having to admit how brilliant the attention to detail is on the San Jose one wounds me deeply.
3:20 stick on the tape?
Québec Nordique mascot is called Badaboum if you wanted to know
The thrashers mascot was a brown thrasher which is the state bird of Georgia and for the hurricanes his name is stormy
VGK mascot is Chance the Gila Monster
DrMick 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 AMAZING JUST AMAZING!!!!! Couldn’t pick my favorite either
I am from New Zealand but follow your videos alot Thankyou for your Awesome uploads. Pittsburgh Penguins is my favorite Awesome design and yes totally fits 👍

Great idea!
9:50 is Tommy Hawk
Where can I buy one on a shirt?
The Seattle Kraken Kachina Mascot looks like a Cylon War-era Centurion from Battlestar Galactica
Fantastic video. So many great ones, hard to pick one.
I must say that Canucks logo does look quite handsome
When you mentioned about your mascot, I was going to say, really!? Cuz I’ll give you our Gritty for yours! 🤣 and I didn’t get the “O” on the Philly Flyers jersey……?
Carlton is the Toronto mascot. Carlton Street was the home of Maple Leaf Gardens.
This is absolutely awesome! My favourite is the first Columbus bit damn, they are aaaaaaall good!
I don't usually like to be the "um actually" guy, but there are a couple things that I think should be mentioned in context to Detroit and LA's kachina-fied logos

Thanks for the info, but Al Sobotka was his name.
Why when the Florida panthers logo came up did it say Edmonton oilers at the bottom?
My favorites are Chicago Blackhawks (first), Los Angeles Kings (first), Nashville Predators and Seattle Kraken, but the best to me is Columbus Blue Jackets (the zombie-like soldier)
Neil, you should do an NHL mascot quiz for a video 😂
Goathead, Seattle’s Kraken one and La’s 1st one are very cool I also really like the the Preds and Avs ones
I just got the notification for this and I all ready love this!!!
Stormy-Carolina
Blades-Boston
Hunter-Edmonton
Iceburgh-Pittsburgh
Thunderbug-Tampa Bay
Carlton-Toronto
Chance-Vegas
Nordy-Minnesota
Nice touch with the whale tail on the Whalers one. It’s easy to miss it though.
Elite idea if I ever saw one
0:00 -- Might as well adapt Hands Down Hockey's intro since it doesn't exist anymore
I don't know what intro he used, and even if I did I wouldn't use it.
I know you covered most of the bases already but I'd love to see more in this style. Maybe minor league teams once all NHL possibilities you want to tackle are done.
bruins:blades hurricanes:stormy blackhawks:tommy hawk edmonton: hunter Minnesota:nordy islanders:sparky pittsburg:iceberg st louis: bluey tampa: thunderbug toronto: carlton canucks:fin vegas: chance capitals: slapshot
Really solid concepts..hard to pick a favourite!
St. Louis mascot has the sad panda from South Park vibes going.
Great video, great designs Dr.Mick
These are so good that I want these logos in a file
Cool concept video. Lots of good ideas for every team.
Hey Neil, you have inspired me to collect jerseys and let me say, thank you for being awesome :>
I'm starting it with a Habs home jersey
Some of these were great, some not so much, but nothing bad and all were creative and interesting 👍
YES bringing back Howler for the Colorado alt. And yes the dog for Colorado is named Bernie
would 100% buy most of these in sticker or button form! kudos to the mascots/brands. partial as a Red Wings fan, points for including 8 limbs!
after additional viewing: these NEED to be licensed and sold in the lobby quarter-payment machines in every ice rink in North America. Appreciated on a deep level, (from a guy who grew up as an "other" hockey sibling).
The Bruins one looks like Freddy Fazbear 😂
If they actually had a game with these jerseys, I’d buy it.
These logo’s on jerseys.
The Boston design has a FNAF killer robot vibe.
Anaheim isn't desert area. Not by a long shot. It's like 10 miles from the beach .
I think he's referring to so cal in general
@@dominiccarranza2184 he's dead wrong on his whole take. He was talking about Anaheim specifically and Anaheim is not considered the desert by a long shot.
@@dominiccarranza2184 and neither is so cal
Just thought I’d mention the Thrashers mascot/logo is based on the brown thrasher which is Georgia’s national bird!
Ive seen Atlanta thrashers play in Vancouver, the canucks won 8-0 and naslund had 4 goals 5 points. In, The Westcoast Express line' days!
Seattle looks like Davey Jones from Pirates of thr Caribbean
4:48 At this point this video is about the name of NHL mascot
Damn right
It's iceburgh, and his pic looks so cool
