I love how the editing is way stripped back at the end of the video and lets the tension of the situation speak for itself. Very nice.
It legitimately makes me want to tune in for a stream and I rarely ever watch streams. Seems like a great entertainer.
Alpha: If it’s from Alola, then you know it’s slow.
Also Alpha: Specifically points out that Ribombee is faster than Noivern.
True but there are a lot of slow pokemon from Alola like Golisopod, Toucanon Decidueye, Primarina, are some examples Vikavolt being the worst as the dex says it's supposed to be fast.
Most 'mons work on island time, but Ribombee is on drugs.
Alola has either speed demons or slow glaciers, nothing in between. And likes those glaciers more than the demons.

That finale was more intense than any fights in the actual pokemon anime
Which is funny, since "I came to the final battle without a full team of 6 and won" and "We're both down to our final pokemon and mine is at the disadvantage" have both definately happened in the anime
I'd saaaay... Ash VS Paul in the anime's gen 4 - which featured an Infernape's grudge match against one hell of an Electivire, which was Motor Drive speed-boosted from a previous bout in which it took down Pikachu - was _pretty_ goated. And what happened to Alpha here is absolutely of that level, in terms of stakes and drama.
Now, this isn't me going "wElL, aCtUaLlY", right, because I played Pokémon Emerald Rogue myself and had one hell of a first run, so, I agree with your statement on principle. I'm only mentioning this fight because to me, whenever a personal adventure reaches that fight's level of awesome, then the game that allowed it is doing something right.

There's also the "no full team" bit in Gen 5 League, Ash v. Cameron. The dumb idiot thought "full battle" meant 5v5, but his anchor Riolu evolved into Lucario mid-fight, and he won (I think, it's been a while).

The Professor Oak surprise at the end of the game is so cool to me. Like, I've heard there's data in the original red and green for an unused fight with Oak. Apparently he takes whichever starter neither you nor his grandson pick. Oh, and great job to Alpha, I can tell this would take a LOT of focus, even with his knowledge of the series :D
The fact that in the champion fight he said that’s both sweepers gone and then McGrow proceeds to carry the entire team is very funny to me
Also the fact that he throws out a Rayquaza right after saying that
Ferrothorn and Excadrill carrying the dream to the end made me smile, got me all nostalgic over Gens 5 and 6 competitive lmao
Yo that Excadrill came in so clutch with the outspeed at the end there. Only thing that was missing was Jacob screaming "My (Exca)drill is the (Exca)drill that creates the heavens!" To bring the Gurren Lagann reference full circle.
It's so fun seeing the more recent Pokémon which never got this kind of spriteart before in this style.
Ah, this reminds me of my first run of Emerald rogue where my entire 6 man team who beat a gym leader was swept by a random trainer's poison orb, facade teddiursa
The trainers in this game can be evil, i once ran into a guy with a suicune when i only had fire types left on my team and you can imagine the slaughter

For the Moltres Draco Meteor segment: If this is emerald battle AI, then the draco meteor’s damage probably rolled so low that it wouldn’t have ko’d either Pokémon, so it chose a target at random.
This is a nice video to watch, I hope you continue to make videos on this game simply because of how fun it is to see what happens in game.

I'm hyped that Excadrill was the last one standing! Had one that was a star for one of my own nuzlockes, so its got a special place in my heart. This was an awesome video! I was on the edge of my seat.

Having a feature where you can gamble your ENTIRE team is so extremely based of this romhack.
Personally I like roguelikes for their "every run is different" aspect: there's more strategy involved than just "pick the best items in the game every single time" since the game is not guaranteed to give you said best item
I love Alparads pokemon videos since they always manage to keep me on the edge of my seat
The true rogue like experience of there being another final boss after what you think is the final boss

Ferrothorn is a godsend for this game, if you manage to get one. Also, any mon with heat wave is mandatory for doubles, mono fire is the easiest mono type challenge (after water of course) because you can just start with a charmander with a y mega stone and a Torkol and just heat wave the shit out of everyone.
Honestly, absolutely incredible run. Maybe my favorite of yours... even I forgot about the post-champion fight during this video.
Please do more runs. This was incredibly fun to watch

I'm just gonna point out the bangers selected for the background music and sound effects. Like, hearing Kid Icarus and Dragon Quest music here on top of a hilariously edited video is just great, and the sound effects like Paper Mario's "miss" adds to the hilariousness. This really feels like the accumulation of pokemon knowledge.
Need to know so much more then knowledge of the game you are playing, but rather full knowledge of pokemon in general from move to items to strategy.
Fitting, then, it was Oak at the end.
He forgot to mention the gameshow and curse encounters. Also the strong trainer ones too. The gameshow encounter gives you a few guesses at left or right, and you can get something good or bad from it. This could include getting 5000 money, or getting a mon traded for a random one.
The curse encounter is when you enter a graveyard and get to pick 1 of 3 perks, but also get a random curse as well. You could get something like improved crit rate but lowered catch rate.
And the strong trainer is essentially a normal trainer that is slightly stronger than you. Also, sometimes it IS YOU!, with your exact same team. When you beat the trainer, you get to pick one to their mons to put onto your team.
"The only leaders we're scared of are these three" *immediately encounters those three*
