Most decks rely on items, I think that the new meta would be stall decks abusing players with a 30hp pokemon and every single deck will have one to stall the opponent a little bit if the deck has a bad start Maybe budew might be played on decks like lost box and miraidon since basic pokemon pivotting is easier
Are you sure, that Prismativ Evolution will already be legal in Merida? I thought, the first event would have been EUIC, but I‘m not quite sure, if we had a release date already anyway…
4:08 Isn't this card already legal in the Birmingham, Rio and San Antonio regional championships which will all happen before the Merida one, as the card will become legal on January 17th, and the Birmingham, Rio and San Antonio regionals will happen on January 18th, January 18th and January 25th respectively, whereas the Merida one will happen on February 8th, so the card is already legal in 3 previous regionals before Merida ?
@@tablemon Where did you get that information from ? In PTCG Live, which uses the same current format as tournament play, new sets become legal as soon as they're released. Never in PTCG Live history has a set ever become only legal 2 weeks after release, new sets automatically become legal upon release.
@ those are the rules. Playable on PTCG live doesn’t mean playable in real life tournaments. It’s in the tournament rules handbook and I’ve been playing for 25 years, trust me I know how it works
@@tablemon That still doesn't explain why PTCG Live's predecessor, PTCG Online, still applied the 2 weeks before legal rule for new sets. Since PTCG Live has gotten rid of the 2 weeks before legal rule for new sets since its inception, it can only mean that the 2 weeks before legal rule for new sets will also be removed for real life tournaments as well, most likely for the upcoming 2026 season.

my sister is praying for budew to save her when shes playing me, she plays gardi i play mirai and im like maybe it helps but im still fine with 1 turn of items unless i turbo brick. like im taking a ko with hands almost every game as soon as i can attack so idk it seems fine for miraidon but yea other decks might suffer a bit
I dont think regidrago is going to fall lower than an A tier deck next format. You can still go first and get turn 1 e switch and turn one attach for turn then you set up fine. You can also use dragon laser to ko budew
Won’t Dusclops just hard counter budew since you only need to evolve it once? Or am I missing something provided of course you have a duskull on your bench
I have a weird off meta Venasaur EX deck I am building atm (my main is a charizard deck but most of my friends are playing it too). I am playing a venomoth to item lock, so this card is very interesting especially with a free retreat. Im playing joltik for energy acceleration and I am probably going to move to a pidgeot from bibarel after rotation (any suggestions welcome I am new to playing and learning!) I was considering revaroom too.
Where did you get the high-resolution images of the Diamond & Pearl era Budew cards? Do you have other high-resolution images of Diamond & Pearl cards? If so, can you share them? Many fans are currently looking for high-resolution cards from that era, and we have to make do with scanning right now.
Grand Tree in Charizard EX decks is a no in every possible way. You can't use Infernal Reign, so relying in turn energy attachment particularly with this mostly-8 energy deck will surely decrease the overall capabilities of Charizard EX
Did you even watch the video? The tournament is the reason why this video was made 😂 5 budew in top cut and different charizard build and decks least affected by budew at the top
I think Budew having zero retreat and having a attack that cost zero energy and item locks is a bit to good.
*an attack
@ thanks, didn’t notice that😅
The most prepared players will be ready for Budew. I'm not afraid as I'm going to be prepared for it.
Excited about lil baby seed! Thanks so much for your work, and have an amazing 2025! :)
So nice of you, same to you!
