How to fix IKEA MALM Drawers or any sagging drawer bottoms

Quick, cheap fix to stop your IKEA MALM drawer from jamming.

I believe those drawer wedges cannot support as much weight as the original metal bar. My drawers currently use these wedges, and I am looking for a metal bar alternative.

It depends on how you fill the drawers. Clothing is fine. I’ve had no problems yet but I just put clothes in them.

Yeah at least the metall one is much better. You just need to screw it a little more in to the front.

Only issue I screwed them in so many times the chip wood ended up damaged. I found this a simple solution and have not had any issues since. Win win.

If you have the MALM drawers go back to IKEA and most of the time they will give you a replacement panel for free if you have evidence of your purchase.
