We still had more fab work to finish off, so we took the car to the fabricator. Then, we met Kevin. This is a fictitious story, but why Kevin really is a rare gem. The way his builds leave the beams also says he understands the physics involved - this is another sector of smarts.
Funny thing is, when I was shaving the aluminum, I felt the Bob Ross vibe.....LOL. I am definitely going to sneak something Bob Ross into a future video.....
I'm kind of annoyed that I'm here for the start of the build, because I can't just binge watch to the end of the build and now I have to wait for the next episode

Cleetus said up front that a 2000hp car needed a level of obsessive attention to detail and perfectionism that McFarlandFab's full send working style would struggle with; but was how Keven did everything as a matter of course. Stuff related to the track's also eating a big chunk of his time now too, leaving less time for everything else; and I'd rather see him at the track than the garage for a month or so.

Thw big difference between assembling and engine and BUILDING and engine is that you inspect and adjust parts to meet spec rather than just slapping everything together. Love how you take the heads out of the box and immediately start deburring because it wasnt up to your standards lol.
There is a sad lacking of skilled fabricators in this country who don't just slap things together and call it good. If I wanted "good" I would do it myself. What I want is perfect, and the guys who can do perfect are few and far between. Kevin is one of those guys.

I'll tell you what I'm 55, I raced cars on the street and track since I was 18, raced single digit 1/4 mile street bikes on the track and street. Build motors for both bikes and cars, built car and bike chassis parts. and even with all that under my belt I learn or see something new ever time I see this guy on any youtube channel
You know a guy knows things when; A: Brand new PRC heads unbox, unwrap and immediately trims this bit off - with reasons. B: Makes his own tooling to remove valve spring assembly - like it aint no thing. Nice work Kevin, so glad to follow your channel. So many cool things and ideas, not just stuff for ol' Cleeter.

I totally thought that pop might have been an electrical short as well. LOL REALLY glad it wasn't (obviously, haha) There aren't too many everyday things that can be as distracting (if we're being honest, extremely unsettling) than having to worry about if there's an electrical short somewhere that you can't locate or have to worry about, lol I am really glad that this channel is gaining some traction because you do you like it very intelligent and cool dude! There is a lot I have learned/relearned from this channel. The way you put it together, it doesn't give away secrets of what you're doing that makes your business so successful but at the same time share lots of really good information and really good quality content! It makes me wish places like Keith Black, Sassy Racing engines, Banter Machine, etc. and places like that would be able to make a RUclips channel (or had a RUclips channel or similar back in the day) I guess Sassy Racing engines could. Engine building and tuning is such a science. It seems like you just bolt the stuff on but there are so many little, intricate things that need done throughout the process to get these to hold the amount of power they are after or you just threw away $20k.
I just want to be the guy that rolls into the track with the tool trailer, and sits back and take notes, as he does his magic! And yes, a tool trailer, with welders, computers, compressor, and spare parts.

I may have missed it but what fuel(s) is mullet going to run on? Not that I even the slightest witchness of what about fuel choices but me, myself, and I am hoping that the "track fuel" is M1 or M5 and whatever for the highway. I definitely agree about mounting the highway fuel cell in the bed that way it can be placed somewhere more useful like maybe just before or over the rear axle.. A long time ago in what seems like a galaxy far far away I had a 77 ElCo that I put a 454 in with a M-21 and 12 bolt anyway I relocated the batteries to compartments just in front of the rear wheel wells which took weight off the nose and placed it somewhere more useful additionally I had installed a duel output alternator so each battery charged independently. I had just ordered a fuel cell to mount it over the rear axle only to have a drunk in a old clapped out hearse run a red light and t-boned me totaling the my ElCo and dam near totaling me. O'well please excuse my rambling, StaySafe, StayHealthy and have a great day.

ur soda was in a supercooled state. Being in the freezer, it was at a temperature below its freezing point however it remained as a liquid as the can was too smooth to allow ice crystals to start to form (in technical terms, the phase transition requires a nucleation site). When you removed it from the freezer, you gave it the disturbance necessary to catalyse the transition from supercooled liquid into a block of ice.

He has no shortage of project cars in the shop, that tells me he is well known for being highly respected. When I was at trade school my trade teacher told us all “ speed costs cubic dollars! Just curious, on your dart is it factory geometry leafs or did you back half? Cool to see more ls swapped mopars. Mines a 72 valiant 4dr with an lc9, glide, s480.
They are minus 1" ride height Calvert Split Monos. The leaf buckets are in the exact same location (North-South) as stock mounts, but have adjustability -3.5" to +2.5". The buckets were moved in similar to a MiniTub to frame rail width. At present the car is about 3.5" lower than OEM height (springs, front bucket, and small spacer.)
My opinion is that static port flow is not as important as the chamber shape and spark plug location. With boost, the air is going to get in there when the valve opens, making the port less important. The catherdral heads are 247cc intake runner so they will move plenty of air.

Yeah, we redid the mounts to be able to lower the car a bunch.
They are minus 1" ride height Calvert Split Monos. The leaf buckets are in the exact same location (North-South) as stock mounts, but have adjustability -3.5" to +2.5". The buckets were moved in similar to a MiniTub to frame rail width. At present the car is about 3.5" lower than OEM height (springs, front bucket, and small spacer.)
@@lawndart63 mines not lowered but used us car tool relocation kit and moved the leafs into the rail and did a mini tub👍

They have larger intake valves on the stock castings.
My opinion is that static port flow is not as important as the chamber shape and spark plug location. With boost, the air is going to get in there when the valve opens, making the port less important. The catherdral heads are 247cc intake runner so they will move plenty of air.
