using knife to open shells looks good. personnelly I use agricultural knife strong, short and curved (we use it traditionnaly in wineyards to crop grape)
I use a knife sharpening rod ( a long one ). Tap around the center and it cracks. Then I take one of the half's and holding it in my hand , tap from one side to the other with a ball pein hammer ( the rounded end ) and it will crack letting the meat fall out.
This is a 4 minute job at best yet her pie hole made it very long. This is not the best way to remove the meat btw. Cracking it, yes and she doesn't mention cleaning the brown film on the outside off.
Forward to 5:20 for coconut opening❤
I don't know if everyone calls the fiber this term, but where I'm from we call it the coconut husk. Fresh coconut is absolutely delicious.
