I was so happy to meet Shelia … if you remember I converted a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso and travelled from Oxford to Belfast then to southern Spain then Central Portugal just before Christmas … great trip indeed !… and very comfortable in my mini camper … I got to test out my Jackery 500 … great job !

My first car was a Vauxhall agila, loved it so much that when the engine died I bought the newer agila model 😂. It's cute and zippy. Looks amazing, wish i knew where to even begin with something like that 🙌
I used the same car for my build almost a year ago , the faces of people who just realise that you’ll be sleeping in the agila is priceless 😂 had amazing memories

Gorgeous vid. I have something similar with my nissan Cube. She's real boxy so gives good headroom for such a small car. What do you use to cover ur windows at night? For me that is the most annoying part of setup before bed. 😂 i use hangy magnet backout fabric for the back windows. Then A big foil cover for the front and the rest are pop in snug fit grey felt pieces made of place mats that i bought from jysk. They are stiff enough to hold shape and stay in the frame snuggly with a push fit. Works especially well for the big back window i can sit up and read and im not leaning on cold damp glass. Love the roof vent. Great idea
Really fantastic conversation. Makes our Berlingo set up look palatial!! Enjoy all your adventures. We paid a local garage to tint our back windows. It cost £80 and was well worth it as it gives us privacy all times of the day plus added security as it's harder for anyone to see inside that it's a camper.
Haha thanks for the tip! We have since actually tinted the rear window ourselves and agree it gives so much more privacy… just wish we’d gone to the professionals for the tinting 😅

I live it .Great work .I am so looking forward to having the same .In south Africa all you do is put a light on top write emergency on it and you can park almost any place sleep over at filling stations .Pls do more videos your tiny car was by far the most convenient one I have seen .From me andries south Africa well done

Avery interesting video but could have been longer. the camera was panned far to quickly so the interesting alterations and fittings were just a blur!. some good ideas though, if only the camera had stayed still long enough to take them in!. Thankz, Walter (83 year old camper)

I"m building my Toyota Yaris Verso into a mini camper and would love to visit beautiful England in it but I'm scared of driving on the other side of the road (live in the Netherlands).

It’s not as scary as you think driving on the other side. We’d never driven on the other side of the road ourselves and then we went off and completed a 9 month adventure in our car all on the other side of the road. Once you start you’ll wonder why you were ever worried! :) let us know if you do visit the UK!

I have the Suzuki Wagon R+ 2003 and it's similar as the Opel Agila...so a question did you change the side seat? Because I can't make a bed in it because the chair can't go down totally. I see you have storage and upon that a bed

Wow!! You have inspired me more to convert my vauxhall Agila 2000+ ,, you have both done an amazing conversion!! I was wanting a rear end tailgate tent on mine but is there actually one that fits our car?? Any info would be great !! And ty for making this video ,, yay ,,, carry on good work guys x

What did you use to film the opening shot? That was a good camera. When you're inside the car, the camera looks like its a different, worse camera?
We are using an i phone 12. The shots outside are the camera on the rear and when we are talking to camera is the front facing camera. Unfortunately the front facing camera is always worse it seems.
How did you do up the car for only £1,000?! That's what an article said. The battery and making having those custom wooden pull out things are the kitchen etc alone would cost more than 1k....
Nope it actually cost less but we round it up. The battery was £60 new and we built everything ourselves out of plywood so cost was low.

Have you peeled the back seat out? If so, how did you do it?
Hi Dan, yes, it is now permanently a 2 seater car. Lots of bolts holding the seats in, have to pull back some of the carpet and interior and also have to remove the seat belts - hope that’s helpful!

The bed can comfortably fit someone who is 188cm tall on the passenger side. The drivers side of the bed is shorter.

Great build did you have to inform your insurance company of the modifications??
We were very honest with them and explained all the modifications, they were happy enough and insured for much less than the “specialist” insurance companies. We went with admiral, just for your info, I can’t tell you if they’re good in any other way as luckily we have not yet had to call on them.
Also, this is all UK based and we don’t know about abroad
