Always, (if you have one that fits) put a nut on it before you cut it off,
after you round the end, when you screw the nut off, it will clean the threads.

I think that I would use the push rod that came with the master cylinder, just cut it to length, thread both halves, and put a adjustment sleeve on it.

Funny, I need to rebend the hard, pre-bent, SS, line that goes to the rear brakes for my '67 Mustang coupe. The pre-bent kit runs it over the steering column, where as the front, right goes under. This creates a point in which the two cross each other and will rub together, causing a leak.
That's held me up for several months. I think I need a real brake line bender instead of the Chineasium ones we get at the local parts stores...

I had a mechanic install this setup and come to find out he did not cross the lines over to the rear of the MC for the front brakes on the front of proportioning valve and visa versa.
That might explain why the car does not stop correctly. 🤔
And i dont think he installed the brake light switch either.
2 questions:
1 Where do i find that T that you used to connect the switch?
2 Is it OK to install the PV with the nylon piece facing down?

During the pandemic, Rhino Fabrication shut down. The dies and stamps were separated out between Autokrafters and Dashes Direct, I think.
Could the brake line be filled with sand (or similar) to avoid kinking when bending?
When you're talking 3/16 lines, no. You really honestly need to find a very small tubing bender. The problem is I find that the plier types actually are worse for kinking the line than you can imagine. I am still casting about trying to find something that will bend very small tight radiuses
@@AutoRestoMod Ridgid 36117 $83 through Amazon. It's what I have. Imperial 470FH is $51 does three sizes but doesn't have a dedicated slot for 3/16 - have to use the 1/4 slot.
One major disadvantage I have found with the copper-nickel brake lines is that they are essentially one time use. They are so soft that the flare distorts easily and often doesn't seal correctly after a removal and reinstall. If the vehicle is in an area with even a little road salt, game over. The nut seizes to the line due to dissimilar metals so it will twist the line upon removal.
