      We're so glad that you found the video to be informative, Rhonda! Walks on the beach during a full moon are one of our favorite things, but they are usually quite hard to capture well. That said, we're pretty impressed with how well our Pixel 6 phones do at night. It's certainly not the quality of an expensive camera, but much better than what we ever thought a cell phone would be capable of!

    Well, like you said at the end it depends on how adventurous you are. Had you brought along 2 little kids you will need to consider safety. Then you have to spend time to figure things out. For the all-inclusive hotels you have no worries as vacations supposed to be.

    • @Explorcation
      @Explorcation  Год назад +1

      Absolutely. If little are involved, we would definitely lean towards the resort, not only for safety reasons, but also because the resorts have so much for kids to do!

    Wow! Your Airbnb apartment looks closer to the beach than your all-inclusive room was. Love the price breakdown. The price really isn't that much different between the Airbnb and Bahia Principe, and it would be nice to have unlimited food and drink. We still love exploring more though, so we would probably stick with Airbnbs. We'll have to try an all inclusive one day though when we really want to chill and do nothing.

    • @Explorcation
      @Explorcation  2 года назад +1

      The AirBNB definitely was closer to the beach than either of the rooms at the resorts. And we were quite surprised on how the price of the AirBNB day ended up being close to a day at the Bahia Ambar. That said, much of the cost of the AirBNB day was in the food and drinks. If we would have bought more groceries and cooked and brought our own drinks to the beach, the AirBNB days would have been quite a bit cheaper!

  • @AquariusTraveller
    @AquariusTraveller 2 года назад +1

    Hows guys, nice little round up you have here to the options of staying in this area. But I do think the same as you sometimes, that the all inclusive is a sweet deal for a short time, I would like a bit of freedom and save my money for the tours offer to see the sites. Even though, you main site it right there on the beach...LOL. However, I can only relax for so long and need to burn off some energy.
    Great Addition Guys and thanks for the comparison

    Loved loved LOVED this video!
    #1 Jamie you look so cute in glasses, lol.
    #2 Skylar enjoying every drink is funny.
    #3 For me personally, I think the mid tier all inclusive would be my choice, as I feel like while on vacation I want to do as little as possible in terms of trying to find my way around an unfamiliar location.
    I guess I'm not as adventurous as you two.
    Anyway, looking forward to your next video. Maybe you guys can do some more exploring around western Florida, maybe focusing more on south Tampa Bay.

    • @Explorcation
      @Explorcation  2 года назад +2

      When we both worked full time and didn't travel as much as we do now, our vacation goals were usually to do as little as possible as well. Sometimes, that's still our goal, so we can certainly understand why you would pick the mid-tier all-inclusive. We're actually heading back to Punta Cana to stay at another mid-tier all inclusive in the near future... but of course we'll be mixing in some more adventurous days as well.
      Our next 3 or 4 videos (maybe more) will be Florida related, and we'll definitely have some more western Florida content coming your way. We hope you enjoy it!

    Traveled to Punta Cana a couple of years ago with my partner, we stayed at a large all inclusive resort. The resort was incredible, beautiful beach and top notch amenities. That being said, we didn’t feel especially welcome as a gay couple here. We’ve had better experiences in other tropical locales, especially in Mexico.

    • @Explorcation
      @Explorcation  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for sharing your experience, Reggie. To be honest, we don't always feel particular welcomed in Punta Cana (compared to Mexico) either. While many of the staff in Punta Cana are very friendly and welcoming, we find many others to seem quite disinterested. This was not the case at all with our Mexican resort experiences, as nearly all staff is eager to please all the time. That said, we still do love Punta Cana, but have grown to adjust our expectations a bit when it comes to the staff experience at the resorts.

    Great comparison guys! We love staying in Airbnb’s, but all inclusives are amazing too 😅 I think we prefer Airbnb if we plan on doing a lot of exploring, we also like to go into the towns and trying local foods. But wow, we might’ve just stayed on that beautiful beach all day long 😅 But definitely agree, you get a more local and cultural experience when in an Airbnb 👍
    If we’re at an all inclusive we almost feel bad for leaving the resort because of the price, but good for getting spoilt and just relaxing.
    Your Indian food really looked amazing, must’ve been disappointing that the flavour didn’t match what it looked like 🙈😅

      Totally agree. It's hard to justify paying money to go out and explore when you already have all your food/drinks/entertainment paid for at an all-inclusive. We're thankful to be able to switch it up and have both experiences depending on what we crave at the time (relaxation vs adventure)!

  • @patriciajuszak5784

    I've stayed in Punta Cana at an all inclusive and absolutely loved it! But I must say we didn't do any exploring in town (resort way too far away!) and it looked like your Air bnb was definitely close enough to walk. I would personally pick the less expensive all inclusive but I'm thinking now that mixing it up with maybe 3 days in an airbnb and 4 at the the all inclusive might be a really fun way to go! More culture and authentic food vs lounging in the pool and at the beach with free drinks all day - nice way to mix it up. By the way we didn't do "horse" (lol!) but we did do the Saona Island tour and it was the highlight of our trip.

    I think I'd have to say I'd prefer the all inclusive resort and then do my own exploring off the resort. But in saying that, I had a not so great AirBnB experience, so ever since then I've been extremely off put in booking one. But at the same time, some of the resorts can be quite the distance from main towns and attractions so it may depend on where you are and what you want to do/see.

    • @Explorcation
