Love the 440x2s. 90% of my cars are 440x2 wides. Still reasonably priced and imminently tunable with plenty of replacement and hop up parts readily available.
@@jeffnorbert1871 Wouldn't the wizzard barrels fit? Pretty sure there are bearings too. At some point this is getting a bit too much like The Ship of Theseus. Why not just buy a HWP adjustable chassis, or one of the various clips for converting Tyco bodies to fit other chassis?
@@jeffnorbert1871 I haven't really encountered any "unobtainium" when it comes to upgrading a 440x2. As Dean pointed out, there are options for just about any performance mod you might have in mind.
I’ve been grabbing the nascar ones up when my local hobby shop has them and on my small D oval, we love running them 100% stock. Stock tires in front and rear. I wish I could get stock replacements since most front tires are cracked and rears are replaced with silicone. We want stock rubber.
How about making some new, high quality replacement bare chassis?? Some are just no longer available or easy to get. I would like to see the 440x2. I Would also like a new magnatraction replacement chassis. Not like the garbage, autoworld is making. Also a super G. Basically a repop, of the cars that ruled in the 70's & 80's.
@@deanewalpole9577 because I have several broken wide pans that need to be replaced, they seem to have gotten brittle over the last 30+ years they've been around and if you can find bare chassis then again it's the same- brittle. There's nothing wrong with the x2, they were the best handling until the sg+ came out, lots of people still run them today.

We agree ad there are millions of them out there
No need to improve a tyco 440, A masterpiece chassis. Just a cleanup every now and then. Thanks for video
Glad you enjoyed
We need more aftermarket performance parts for this chassis imo. Thank you for sharing! 😁👍🏁🏎
Hi Scott what did you have in mind? We make a ton of stuff for them

@@jeffnorbert1871 Never said you did and I don't know what you are referring to with "Viper Killer" or "pipe dream" so I'll take that at face value.
@@BigRalphSmithScott has been trying to build a "viper killer". His words not mine. A pipedream is a fantasy.

Good stuff there.
Thanks
Back in the day we would run the car and put a lighter under the rear axle to mesh the gears better.

@@deanewalpole9577exactly. Too much of an investment and not enough demand.
We need a replacement oem style wide pan and narrow x2 chassis.

@@viperscaleracing yeah that's fine and all but if you're wanting a stock replacement tyco for tyco bodies options should be available.
