Danielle was beyond her time. The jury was just bitter. Her gameplay is viewed as one of the best to this day and that says so much. She was an excellent player and should have won the season, hands down.
She should not have gone to the Final 3 with 2 of the most likeable players in Big Brother history still to this day 20+ years later Lisa and Jason. That is stupid, especialy knowing you played a cutthroat game, that as you said was ahead of its time. She had despised goats like Ami, Gerry, and even Marcellas at her disposal but takes the 2 biggest jury threats in the whole house to the end just since she likes them, LOL! And she was planning a Final 2 with Jason, which is even worse than a Final 2 with Lisa.
@@whats_holden_up Any jury would vote Lisa or Jason over Danielle. Jury voting is nothing but a glorified popularity contest, even today. They just vote who they like best. Hence Taylor beating Monte who played a way better game and was pretty likeable too, as she was so beloved. Lisa and Jason are both too likeale to lose a jury vote.
@@dougierichardson484 I get where your coming from when you say that but there are juries who vote for who played the better game. I think Danielle should've won since she played best game but you're right it's possible she'd lose either way but like the BB10 or BB7 jury I think would go who plays the best.
@@whats_holden_up The best player or best strategic usually wins the jury vote and game yes, but it is since they usually bring people to the end they know aren't as liked. Danielle, the dominant strategist of the season, failed to do that since she wanted to just bring people she liked most, which was a bad idea when they were also 2 of the most beloved players ever (and solid players in their own right on top of that). I can rarely think a Final 2 on Big Brother the more liked player of the 2 finalists didn't win. Bring me one example they didn't.
if I were to rank all the seasons beased on how strategically capable the cast was, this season would probably be towards the top. I think the fact that the players were sent home really nerfed how cutthroat they really wanted to play. I imagine that's part of why Danielle was able to steamroll to end since she threw away her TV perception and was dead set on 2nd place early on. Overall a pretty decent showing of strategic and social gameplay from the general cast, an impressive feat considering how the show was still in its infancy and had no true Veto.

Maybe I’m completely overrating roddy, but I’d have him at 3. He built a cult around him. Ppl loved him and wanted to throw their whole game away for him. He was so manipulative in the best and worst way and only Danielle really wanted him out. It seemed like he would have won if he made it to the end
Danielle was the mastermind of the season and players like Lisa and Jason were similar social players that better longevity than him so I'd put them above him personally
I would definitely put Jason and Danielle above Roddy, but idk about Lisa. Now she would be 4 for me as she did some impressive work not bringing Eric back, gaining Danielle’s favor to the point where Danielle took her to final 3 instead of the goat Amy and decent competition wins (especially in the era of more crapshoots) but i just feel like Roddy controlled a lot more of the game. He manipulated every person in that house other than Danielle and made Danielle look like a vengeful crazy person to the other houseguests outside of the house. He wins in almost any scenario in final 2 as well
@@bluedevils481991 imo what makes Lisas game unique is for the most part she didn't need control(excluding final 3 hoh) she just needed to ride the tides to the end. I think the main reason they picked Lisa over Amy to go to the end was due to comp ability. Amy had done better in the endgame comps if I remember correctly, but maybe I am just making that up.
It was but it’s better to have one of them win against any than have both of them lose to Lisa. Unfortunately they didn’t think of Lisa as a big jury threat.
She did do better generally however most of them were luck dependent. I’m pretty sure Danielle straight up admitted she was loyal to Lisa as she was to Jason
Danielle also wanted Lisa because Lisa would've taken her to the end. While if it's Amy, who probably doesn't win Final HOH but if she did she would've taken Jason.
Actually I watched Danielle's podcast with Jason and she mentioned something about how no one in the cast wanted Amy to get a chance to win the game cause she technically lost already. Danielle and Jason thought it was fair if she lost there for that reason. Danielle probably had more than one reason, but that was definitely one of them.
Dr Will said it best the jury of BB3 was highly biased. A black woman who played her type of dominant game in 2002, most people viewed in a type of way. Danielle doesnt lose cause of bad jury management, Danielle loses due to society at the time
More because of actually being shown the DR videos in which Danielle gloated about her manipulation in getting them out. Something even the producers realized the folly of and scrapped that for every season after this.
@@yaboi912 Personally disagree, I think Jason depended too much on Danielle to playing hard and dirty for him and she pretty much guarenteed a final 2 spot for herself with most of those end game players. @@dougierichardson484 I see what you're saying but I disagree. People have to remember the time period and context within Big Brother 3. The POV wasn't used the entire season except when Gerry used it on Marcellas, which immediately made him a social pariah for the entire season. Using the brand new POV seemed like a very selfish move. Big Brother is a game for selfish people, but at the time and for the that format of Big Brother, those kinds of decisions weigh heavily on the jury.
