- In this video, I rank every player from Big Brother 24, based on how I think they played on this season.

I'm seeing a lot of criticsm in the comments section towards Taylor's game which really doesn't make sense in the grander scope of things. As already covered in the season review Taylor was the house target in the beggining but most of it really wasn't her playing poorly - personal biases and groupthink mentality put her on the block. Then, she goes on to saved by other houseguests multiple times - I credit her more for having houseguests willing to go so hard for her than her having to depend on them. Joseph pushing her as a last number to the Leftovers, Joseph willing to backdoor himself just so that Taylor can keep face with the other side, Michael winning multiple comps that benefitted Taylor or than himself, Michael and Brittany pushing the target on Kyle during a week when they were safe, Michael fighting so hard for her win in Jury, convincing Monte to take her to final 2, and Turner saving her through his loyalty to Monte. Yeah her HoH reign shows she lacks in the strategic thinking department but her stellar social ability shows she really didn't need her HoH wins to win the game tbh.
Also worth noting that the pre-jury comprised of people who likely wouldn't vote for her to win - and she didn't win any comps to ensure that. To say Taylor had "no impact on this season" is absolutely incredulous. This isn't "pandering" it's acknowleding that there's different ways to make it to the end and the resiliancy to salvage whatever's left of your game due to outside factors.

there was more than personal bias than why Taylor was a week one target which this guy weirdly looks over. She is very poor strategically and didn't even know people were making alliances. Also your points also lack a lot of context. Kyle was actually the one pushing she should join strategy wise , Joseph wanted to save face with the other side for himself not Taylor, Michael and Brittany pushed the target on Kyle because he was after them, Michael fought hard for her because of PR. literally none of this has to do with her social game other than her fucking Monte

Monte wanted Alyssa out as a jury threat, Brittany made it no secret that she was targeting the guys and Taylor was immune anyways, and Monte was convinved with help from Taylor's whispering that he needed to take out Turner as a final big move + he didn't think Taylor had that much jury respect at the end. A lot of Taylor's social game towards the end game was downplaying her jury threat position so that people would take her to the end, hence why Monte was so convinced.
Michael saved Taylor after he had already secured veto during Kyle's boot week (and I forgot to mention how it was really ingenious for Taylor to position herself as a final 3 ally rather than as a pair like Brittany and constanly be targeted as his number 1)
I actually don't agree with Taylor being number 1 player this season - for me on a return I fear she likely follows a Nicole A route. However, I just find the criticisms in the comment section so distasteful. Calling her a horrible player, irrelevant in the season, shaming her for having a showmance - she faced the greatest amount of adversity in that early game and had to gather what game left she had, then proceeded to fight as the people who were directly gunning for her were evicted one after the other. She didn't have to rely on comp ability either, the first winner in a while. It was her strategic positioning within the house and social bonds in and outside the house that clinched in her victory. And that winning speech won all the girls over, no question.
@@khntou4178 Brittany was the one who started planting that Turner was this master jury threat from the beginning and Taylor got that from her. Taylor being the third to the duo of Brittany and Michael had nothing to do with her actively positioning herself that way, it's not like she cared about that when she was the showmance to Joseph. People need to realize Michael's move on Kyle was ANTI-Kyle not Pro-Taylor
the most memorable cast ever, from first boot to winner, everyone had a moment, and and everyone had a moment that changed the game, and the storytelling was soo good, it felt like a storybook for a total drama season with how detailed and poetic some of actions that happened this season
I disagree about the cast but I loved the season
Personally I think the most memorable cast ever was BB14 and Ian basically had the same story as Taylor except its Ian and the Quack Pack
I think this season is definitely top 3 story of BB, had an amazing underdog storyline and will likely never happen again, the karma was STRONG and it was very entertaining on that part. However I disagree HARD on the cast, if you look at them individually almost no one was really entertaining and half of their personalities was just hating on Taylor. Not only were most unlikable but they were also boring. Once we have more seasons I’ll only remember a handful of the cast for this season.
I domt think the cast was all that great, rlly only 5 ppl made the season but they did a good job (taylor michael brittany turner and jasmine), still one of my fav seasons, kinda reminded me of bbcan9 or bbcan10
This cast is so weird to rank lmfao. I agree with most but I think Indy is a little too low. Tbh I thought kyle or Michael would be #1 bc until his boot week I thought he did a great job but I’m glad to see you give Taylor her flowers bc her relationship management this season was insanely great.
Indy is at the bottom here no matter what lmao, she had 0 clue where she was and what she was doing, she def signed up for love island and got big brother along with Alyssa

I actually kind of like that all the players have flawed games. Does it make the ranking a lot more difficult? Yes. But it shows how wild this season was. Anything was possible!

I do think with Taylor social game and jury management that she was the best player this season. Her strategic game was a mixed bag but she was the main reason for why Monte ended up turning on Michael and while her HOH week was not good but it did enable her to bond with Indy and Jasmine which were crucial votes to lock up. Her building a deep bond with Joseph and Michael also helped her in the game and with jury. Her HOH week also allows her to accidentally lower her threat level. Her endgame positioning was really good with her forming a final 3 with Monte and Turner and convincing Monte to take her to the end. Her and Brittany basically convince Monte that Turner is a threat when he is not.
I mostly agree with your list but I would rank Kyle lower because as you said he was basically a goat before the racism information even got exposed. The dudes jury management was so bad that with the racism info I think he draws dead.
People with bad jury management can still be good players though. He had a lot of control in the game. He’s like Amanda Zuckerman without win equity

The fact that Taylor took Indy out and yet that is the week where Indy became a locked vote for Taylor is impressive to me. Especially given what an emotional player Indy was.
@@4Tom4lepus4 I mean yea he should've taken Turner but he did play better than Taylor. He was the 2nd best player after Michael. I'm not just talking comps, Monte socially was in a pretty good spot the entire game and strategically I mean it was his move that took out Michael. Regardless of him being better than Taylor he should've taken Turner yea.
It's been hard to convince me that Turner didn't play good, hearing from others. Until the breakdown in the video. Well done 👏
i think the first problem with kyles cookout 2.0 comment is actually him thinking that the houseguests of colors were working together just because they are POCs when in reality they weren’t working together at all. like all he had to do was realize that terrance jasmine and indy were clearly never working with taylor and jasmine/indy were actively targeting monte. it makes no sense to propose that that group was real
also the fact that his suspicions in the first place mean that he doesn't understand the fundamental purpose of the cookout in the first place. the cookout's purpose was to crown the first black winner, which obviously can't be done again, so that makes the read here even worse

@@yvngdanny3393 completely agreed. he entirely misunderstood the cookouts mission. honestly i don’t know how someone so ignorant (at 29 years old especially) was able to make it through casting and onto the show. i hope from now on, casting is able to do better in that sense. you can find people from areas like utah that aren’t horrendously uneducated like him. i live in south dakota and i am wayyyy more educated on these things at 21 years old despite also lacking the experiences kyle lacks.

Jasmine should be higher she already knew there was a majority alliance and tried flipping the game unlike Nicole Daniel and Alyssa which you skip over, same thing with Terrance
I do feel like Indy had a really good social game, nobody actively disliked or hated her. But she had no strategic game though.

But no one really loved her either. As mentioned in the video, Joseph and Monte, some of her closest relationships were very willing to cut her even though it may not have been best for their games.
@@jasmine1stan857 no, not really. Indy honestly made no attempts at anything. Taylor was trying even if her attempts where bad especially on her hoh week. She was just able to be taken more seriously than indy who everyone just didn’t take seriously.

I said it about 2/3 of the way through the season, Taylor as a winner will be mid tier at best as a player, but her story is probably the best in big brother history and potentially reality tv as a whole
looking back on this everybody underestimates Indy severely when it comes to her social game. She was actually a very good social player and made meaningful bonds with most of the leftovers, both times she was in jeopardy(week four and week six) it was because they were targeting Alyssa. She got kinda screwed by Kyle not using the veto and Jasmine being black and only got taken out because she can last longer in a comp than Terrance

Also Taylor goes in F5 with a F3 w Brittany and Alyssa so she reasonably should have been covered on every side that week.

I’m confused how u think Jasmine didn’t know there was an opposition. She suspected five people not including Joseph and Kyle were in the opposition
The one thing I actually majorly disagree with is that we know from the feeds that pooch was actually sending alyssa in over pooch, so alyssa extremely likely is the one going home. Pooch was a bit freaked out by her, but Kyle Monte and the others were pressuring him to keep her

I decided not to include Paloma in my ranking at all
Nice video. I mostly agree 👍. Nobody played well though
I definitely think Taylor is a deserving winner and since she won, i can understand her being ranked 1st when taking this season only into account. However, i think Michael played the best game of this season. His biggest flaw was he started being human rather than the robot he was most of the game. While i do not agree with using kyles racist remarks as a game move, he should have fully embraced it at that point that he was going to be a villain of the season. If he did that and took out Monte or turner, he could easily have gone on to win the game. It took both turner and Monte to take him out. You could say he didn’t need to win all the comps he did but week 1 he was in the block, week 2 he needed noms to stay the same. Week 3 he was on the block (although not really in danger) and his first hoh he was the only uninsolated bestie group. By that point, even if it wasn’t immediate, he was going to be looked at as a comp beast so why not win so you have more power. He played most of the game in control. You could say there were mistakes, but even Derrick/Cody two of the most dominant games of all time had mistakes in their games. It was once Michael decided to stay true to his word and have a heart that he lost
If he took out turner, he would lose all the jury votes
I think he clearly keeps Brittany and Alyssa in the end game for final 3 and he’s beating both of them in a jury vote. Most likely beating Terrence although there is a chance the jury refuses to give it to Michael. But Michael would not have allowed himself to be in final 3 with Monte and Taylor. Either they would’ve gone or he would have

Enzo is one of the best social players to play the game. He's a far better player than Turner.
Is this supposed to be ranking the players in general, or just how they did in BB24 in particular?
On the level of player rankings, I do think this list is probably too placement-oriented. I think I'd have Ameerah above 9 for sure (above Alyssa and Brittany imo; they obviously made it much farther but both showed some serious flaws in their games this season).
Just like the vast majority of players, you can point to some things Ameerah did that led to her departure, but the bulk of what led to it was Alyssa's spilling of Old Skool (turned the guys of Po's Pack against the girls), plus an unfortuitous HOH result (Turner was one of the worst possible HOHs for Ameerah). If you think of an average player as having about a 1-in-3 chance of missing the jury, it doesn't feel implausible to me to think that Ameerah might only miss the jury about 1-in-6 times, and that the circumstances of BB24 are an example of such a "tail" outcome.
I think this ranking is just how they played on this specific season since we don't have other games to compare how they truly are as a individual player.

I agree with these rankings and your assessmentnon them except the part of a lot wanting to take Taylor to the end. Pretty sure only Monte was taking her to Final 2. Alyssa was taking Turner if she won out, and Britney after Turner. Turner was taking Monte. Michael and Brit were taking each other. Joseph even said he wasn't taking her as he was worried he would lose although not sure who he was taking (Monte or Kyle maybe).

As a whole the game play this season was pretty weak like you said but this is how I think it should be ranked
Maybe switch your top three around. Monte at one, Taylor at two, Michael at three. I think Michael is overrated imo

I really don’t agree with Taylor being #1. IMO she probably belongs in the 3-5 range. When she was the house targets the first couple weeks (granted that wasn’t really her fault) she didn’t really do anything to change that. Week 1 she was saved by Paloma walking, week 2 she was saved by people just looking at Pooch as a bigger threat where she was never really in danger, and week 3 and beyond was because an alliance fell in her lap. I give her some credit for being the reason the leftovers formed because Kyle and Joseph didn’t like how she was being treated but I also give more credit to them for actually making the alliance. I also give Taylor a lot of credit for her social game with all of the strong relationships she was able to build throughout the game that ended up leading her to win and the fact that she had the single best jury speech in BB history, there were also some mistakes she made that really could’ve cost her the game, like telling Monte and Turner (who were in her alliance) that she’d rather nominate them than Jasmine because she doesn’t want to nominate a black woman even though there were 3 other people that weren’t in their alliance available (while she ended up nominating the people outside of her alliance anyway it still could’ve led people to think differently about how much they trusted her) and when she was on the block in the final 5 she was isolating Brittany which ended up leading Brittany to vote against her and could’ve easily led to her eviction if Turner was capable of thinking for himself. In the end I’m not mad she won because of how gracefully sh took everything that was going against her, she has the greatest story in BB history, and how she played the least “icky” (as you put it) game, I personally think it takes more than being a great person with a great story to be a great player. (Although I truly believe if people strived to be more like how Taylor was in the house the world would be a better place)
Taylor wasn’t saved by Paloma walking, she would’ve wiped both of them in the w2 hoh part 1 comp which was the competition for safety

@@108daytona6 Even if she wins that backstage comp she’d be saved by a twist and I don’t really love that either. If it’s a normal 1st week in the BB house she’s out in what’s probably at that point a 13-0 vote.
They saw Taylor as a target week 2 still but wanted to keep her cuz Taylor said she was going after the guys and they couldn’t trust Pooch
Taylor shouldn't be 1 I agree. While her social game was solid, I think others were stronger and helped her more than it was her finding the bonds. Strategically she was fine again. As a whole she wasn't that good but she wasn't terrible. 3ish sounds about right and she probably is a lower tier winner although her speech was incredible. Not hating just my opinion.
I would put Monte or Michael at #1 but probably Monte because his threat level management was better and he was behind Micheal’s eviction. Monte was completely safe from the final 6 onwards. His endgame was phenomenal won all the important competitions just took the wrong person
Pooch had nothing to do with Taylor going on the block week 1. It was Paloma and Monte mainly

I think Jasmine could do better on a returning season
Jasmine's problem is she's only bearable in micro doses. The entire house strongly disliked her except maybe indy.

This is a weird person to be defending, but I feel Jasmine is an underrated player this season. She was an incredible liar who had a generally good grasp on the strategic game, as well as a fairly good social game… with most people. I think out of the non leftovers she’s one of the few I think could make a deep run on a different season.
jasmine was good strategically but she wasn't that good socially. I do think being injured impacted her severely though, her never leaving the bedroom in the second week due to her injury is one of the main reasons why leftovers form due to them always seeing the girls in there
Ive got to say one person i think is ranked TREMENDOUSLY LOW, is brittany, id say shes arguably the best strategist of the cast and once michael became a human she took on the rile of being the robot, i think turner voting alyssa over taylor is already enough of a reason to place her higher, but also that she won EXTREMELY important comps because if she didnt she wouldve gone home in ameerahs place

@@elijahbarton2959 but you can’t just simplify her entire game to her solely being a non threat. She still had good social bonds with a fair amount of the cast and understood her position in the game to an extent to where she was able to maintain it. It wasn’t a great position, and she didn’t have the entire house read, but she held enough intuition and social capital to stay in her position as the most respected non leftover. People like Terrance Indy and jasmine were equally or less threatening than Alyssa, but they played suboptimally to get themselves targeted, whereas Alyssa just maintained her position. People like ameerah and Nicole were on the other end of that spectrum, being too outwardly threatening but not within the main power structure. Alyssa was the only non leftover able to strike a balance between those two ends, and it’s why she’s able to get 5th place with a winning scenario in brittany. Also, this scenario isn’t that farfetched, as if Turner had a decent strategic mind, he voted out Taylor at 5. Then all Alyssa and brittany have to do is win 2 comps and they make final 2. Not a lock by any means, but not impossible. She’s not that bad of a player in the grand scheme of things and is ranked correctly in my eyes

People can have big win equity and be taken out early and play a bad game. Think of Gino from BBCAN

100% Agree but I would switch Joseph and Brittany. Joseph only had about 2 weeks of good game play which are weeks 4 and 5. Every other week was horrible.
These rankings are fucking awful, Terrance and Jasmine should be higher than Nicole and Daniel who backdoored themselves for no reason and were bigger targets than her
No way Taylor should be better than 3-4
She won a season in which she faced more adversity than almost any player in the history of the game, completely outside of her control. She deserves 1st in my opinion.

Taylor being that high is a fucking joke although considering your past with pandering it’s not surprising. She contributed nothing to the season, most horrible HOH reign of all time, Leftovers doing everything for her, no social capital(she doesn’t have a good social game with the people at all unlike what people say). Taylor didn’t do anything in the split house but bond with the Monte but at the final eight she was literally the target over Monte because the Afterparty. she got dragged the rest of the way moving further. Taylor didn’t play a bad game but there was MANY games played like hers that you constantly shit on her.

She wasn’t the target over Monte in the final 8 week, Monte would’ve been the replacement nom and would’ve gone home. Her bond with Monte was so significant it caused him to betray his closest ally in Turner and take her to final 2 so how is that nothing? She was isolated so much in the beginning and instead of putting her head down and trying to win out she advocated for herself and won people over who hated her onto her side. I think that is extremely commendable, even if it’s not traditionally good strategic gameplay
