Alex, I’ve noticed you seem a lot happier in these past 3 or 4 videos and I enjoy the voiceover content a lot, i honestly think that myself and others would like just watching you do normal stuff like exercising or climbing just with a voiceover. I also love bouldering but live an hour from the closest climbing gym.
this little video from a rando instead of some "certified" person is what has given me some confidence, and encouraged me to take back my life from depression.
Cool to see you posting your progress and being vulnerable with the fact that you’re not a muscular power lifter. The hardest part of any venture is taking that initial leap. Happy to see you’ve found the gym and all the benefits it provides. I’ve been subbed since the NC nature news days and had the pleasure of exploring the Raleigh area a few weeks ago, absolutely loved it. I credit you to myself always being drawn to NC. Wish you nothing but happiness ✌🏼
thank you :D initially, i was going to wait for a year or so, to see real progress before posting anything. but i figured there'd only be benefits of sharing it in realtime. NC is so epic
That’s the thing with “bodybuilding” - if you’re always striving to become the best version of yourself, you’ll never “get there”. Where you’re at right now is the most fun stage. Enjoy it! We still have a lot of traveling to do before we settle down again but NC is a top contender for where that might be
It’s been absolutely amazing to watch your growth from your earliest RUclips days up to now, can’t wait to see you continue growing in new and exciting ways 🎉
outdoor bouldering is free and there are tons of online resources for cool spots. You do need a crash pad, but I'd highly recommend it. You'll climb at a much lower level than you expect but its very fun.
Love these types of videos! I used to watch your videos yearssss ago and finally got my first crestie last summer! I’m also really into EDM & raving. Every time I watch your videos, I realize how much I have in common with you lol. 🦎💚
Dude I'm so happy to see you be happier!!!! And healthier!!! You seem so much mentally and physically healthier. I'm so glad things are different and seeing you still make content from animals to cars to business, to shipping and rehabbing animals and emerald scales and now this! What a wild ride, i can't wait to see what else you do next in life! More Alex!!!!
Go box Sam Hyde. On a serious note this pivot is happening during a significant cultural shift in our country so I’m glad to see your content aligning with what’s actually best for you. I’m going through the same thing with combat sports while having a family and a career. Turning 30 and can’t afford to pay 270 a month for a 6 month mma tuition again. Going back to boxing roots and reinvesting my money in my home gym. I’ve lost 30lbs. Stopped eating edibles and drinking alcohol for the last few months. Things are going well
At 3:10 I really thought you were about to say "go herping" lmao. We had the Go Delivering era so now are we onto Go Lifting? Hope to see more videos of you actually enjoying what you're doing!
Alex! Awesome seeing your start into weightlifting! It's truly addicting and rewarding! Are you making sure your diet compliments the training? Getting that dialed in will let you recover faster and maybe fit a bouldering session in!
Yeah, I like this type of video, well done. I became a subscriber when I saw you at such a young age manufacture and sell a reptile poster. Maybe it was only one sold, but I thought this kid will do cool things in the future and was worth watching to see what that would be.
Bro, I watched your unboxing videos a couple years ago and loved it. But at the time I was sedentary overweight and lazy, I would watch RUclips for hours and eat... October 2022 I turned my life around and started focusing on fitness and good health. It's an amazing thing watching your life align again! I'm stoked to see this my man!
We were never meant to sit inside for 8 hours a day! The lifestyle we have to live and the foods we have to consume are the sole reason for so many peoples poor mental health. Everyone reading this, get out, get in the sun, be active and stay motivated!
Glad to see you hitting the weights and climbing. I really does make a difference mentally and physically when you make a habit out of it. I've been going to the gym for almost 2 years and I'm happy you got into the habit at a younger age than me Lmao. Looking forward to the vids
Hey as an ultra jacked teen I want to give you some tips stick to 2 sets to absolute failure with partials or with a dropset so you can get 90% of the gains and maintain a low volume so you dont get fatigued and do progressive overload make sure to note every set like this Incline Bench x/x as first set reps and second set reps when you get to 12/15 with a certain weight just add 2.5lbs to the sides and try to reach the 12-15 mark again if you are really invested into this I could give you more tips just let me know I only want to help :)
I have been doing a powerlifting program the past several months and it really is incredible! I also used to climb but man, the price of those memberships is insane lol But I totally relate to the power of nature and exercising outside, it does shift your mindset and help with depression/anxiety.
I randomly had a thought that I hadn't seen your videos pop up on my feed in a while, then I wondered if you were on a fitness kick and I literally opened RUclips and there you were, working out.
felix is such an inspiration in so many ways , i look up to him in so many different areas !! and maybe! i think! i think youll be the person to someone in 10years as well ;)
As a 21 yo casual gymnast that's been going for 12 years now, yes I'm physically fit. Decently powerful/flexible and generally more physically capable than peers. It's not all it's cracked up to be :). It's very not-great on the joints, for me esp the wrists are a weak point but the people around my age all kind of have to wear wraps for knees, ankles, wrists etc. not all at once, but most everyone has some fucked up joint.
Love this channel, it's like a diary 👍 Thanks "Herp-man" (my boyfriend calls you that lol). "Kollar du på Herpes mannen/pojken igen?" is actually what he says in swedish.
why is it that so many of us between the ages of 20 and 30 are suddenly discovering weight lifting? lol i started shortly after my 30th bthday and it has changed me. so excited to see where your journey leads you!
I’ve had long periods of attending a gym or doing certain physical things, but I’ve never felt that endorphin high others sometimes mention. I’m jealous for sure, as I firmly believe I’d be healthier and probably happier if I would get off my butt more often.
i guess it's often just known as runners high, which i definitely do not get and i hate running so much lol. and yeah, i hear some people get it from the types of exercises i am doing, while others don't. i wonder if everyone has the ability to activate it in at least * some * way though?
BRO, I'm in the exact same situation as ypu. Don't really have the money for bouldering, and the place is just too far and I'll spend like the whole day bouldering. So yeah, too much of a time and financial investment for something I absolutely love. Without fail, every time I go bouldering, I get an endorphin rush when scale that first wall. But in the meantime, I just weightlift at home, training my body for the next time I go back, haha.
Therapy on it's own is not effective and can actually be harmful as it can make people ruminate. Therapy in combination with goals, and fitness can be useful.
I'm skinny like you. I even have the introvert personality. I have no friends, except maybe one yet he ignores me most of the time even though I've given him money that he asked for. Everyone I've met online tells me I should go to a gym. No gym or muscles will fix my life... They seem to think gym fixes everything... It won't.
yeah, def not the solution itself. i do think it has some similarities to antidepressants (but with more pros and fewer cons) - it won't fix the actual issues you're experiencing, but can make the process of improvement easier
I advise you to find an online calorie calculator. That should give you a general idea of how much you should eat to gain weight. 0.8 x your bodyweight should be good for protein. Let’s do this bro 💪
Yoooooo! Started watching you because of reptiles, staying because of your new found decision. LMK if ya need any assistance with sport-specific training for bouldering or any other adventure sports - that's my thing!
Oh damn I thought the video notification was you replying to a comment of mine. I thought, "sure, I guess" then read the description....sentiment is the same man.
I would like to be see how your diet is changed? The diet is 1/3 succes of the muschle grown. You can train hard as hell, can sleep 10 hour too, if you not eat the proper diet, you can't build your muschles optimaly.
for me, my faith in Jesus has really had an impact on my life. I have been able to get my life together better than i expected. Jesus has helped me through the tiresome hardships i have experienced and i am finally able to get back into the gym and improve my life overall.
