- Believe me folks, i'm very happy to present you this hard to find Dark Star tune. I am hunting for it for years now, and the only copy i had of this fantastic tune was from the Dark Star OST with all noises and interactions of the movie included.
So finally: Here is the original studio version!
Not by Martin Segundo and the Scintilla Strings, but by James Clarke.
cheers :-))

Thanks a lot guys. We all know you're doing a swell job.
Outstanding! I have wondered about this for a few decades now. Thank you for finding this and posting it -- James Clarke should receive credit on the soundtrack listing.

Man, you made my day! I've been on and off searching for this tune to no avail, I was even thinking of contracting a band to play the snippet audible in the movie for me! And now, on Aug 1st 2016, here it is in all its glory!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

HOLY SHIT! This was a thing? All this time???
No seriously, this is the greatest thing ever! I had no idea!
Fabulous!! Now, if someone could find the original "Benson, Arizona"...
according an interview with the original singer of Benson Arizona, John Yager, who explained the recording situation of the song these days made with semi professional equipment in a living room of a friend student or so, i am afraid that there is unfortunately no better quality available for (the original) Benson Arizona.

@@boblieser best quality so far, but it is not the original recording.
Superb - you're the man.. Made my day this :) Kudos & Thanks!
Great! Thx a lot!🎶🙏🎶
fantastic
Can anyone help me find the Veil Nebula. I seem to have lost it.
Joint time x
Some might say it was a Carpenter movie but to me it will always belong to Dan O'Bannon. From a recalcitrant beachball to Giger's Alien is one giant leap for mankind.
Space bums 2 da 9nz !
So then it just spewed across the room like a balloon. I guess it was just filled with gas. Say guys, how can it live if it's just filled with gas?
Shut up, Pinback!
That...Checks out here
Thanks mate!
Always wanted to find the whole tune!
You made my day!!!
Bought the record immediately! 🤠
how did you find this??
i remember it had sth to do with an expired link in a topic i only could go to with the waybackmachine these days. unfortunately i don't remember the topic but it was an active search for this masterpiece. maybe this was in fact the only chance to find out the truth about it. thanks for your interest.
@@TheNGC891 Well, nice work man. I'd looked for track too but its so niche I couldn't find anything. I don't understand how Carpenter got away with mislabelling the track and artist on the soundtrack.. Its even mislabelled on the wikipedia site. Maybe that can be fixed.
Poor pinback
