Absolutely, they had plenty of time to get to the chopper. It would of been more devastating if he crumble in front of Mia. And to me, more satisfying? Like he gets to actually SEE his wife and child are safe and together one last time. One last I love you, Mia desperately trying to hold on to him as he dissipates, ect. Chris gets to comfort her , and gets to mourn to, Mia doesn't have that resentment that's clear in her face

I'm sure Leon and Jill would still have some sort of police/spec Ops jobs, but I would think Claire's story should mostly be done. She only gets involved if she or someone close to her is in serious danger. As long as they keep her in the dark on dangerous missions then Claire will probably live a normal life. She never had any real interest in this kind of career, so she probably just lives happily.

And as we have seen, if a being made of mold takes enough damage, they will die. The mold is powerful, but it doesn't have infinite... "stamina" I suppose... We see in the end he was already turning to dust, he knew he was truly dying already.
I almost cry when Ethan Sacrifice his self to save his Daughter Rose and left it to Mia and tell Chris to teach her to be strong. And his last words "Mia I love you" so sad 😭💔. A Father and a Husband's love. It broke my ❤️
True, even if it's understandable. I mean he technically wasn't even ethan winters, that man died in the baker mansion as they mentioned... but if it was his consciousness that persisted or if it was a 1:1 replica of himself made from mold alone is hard to tell. But it's likely that he atleast would have done it if he could have , sth. that says a lot about what type of guy Ethan was.

They probably did it that way because they wanted us to step into Ethan's shoes. This means that Ethan's face is the face of each one of us, that despite not having training in anything (combat, weapons, etc.), we always give everything of ourselves to protect the people we love and appreciate. In other words, even a simple civilian can be a great hero.
The Layers of Fear theme fits so well over the ending. So ambitious, yet ominous because you just know Capcom is gonna make this poor family go through this shit all over again.

No its Mia and Ethans daughter. What I like to say is more in shorthand. Mother Miranda was trying to preform alchemy, one powerful baby, aka rose (said cause Miranda even said that rose would be able to control the mold.) To bring back her actual daughter Eva.
We finally get to play as the bioweapon with nutty powers instead of a cop with semi accurate accuracy and a knack for stepping in a mound of nunnya business LMAO.
If think more into it maybe all the protagonist (except Ethan) are BOW create by the government, they can hide amongst the public without been detected, having the ability to carry a lot of equipment while running without breaking a sweat, and the ability to regenerate from any non immediately fatal damage with some green grass. These are the perfect combination for a successful BOW.
That explains how rose is a lot older like 20 years cos since shes half human and holf eveline (basically) she has the same rapid aging as the d class subjects did so I think the time skip is going to be a lot less than what ppl think
Nah, Evelyn was given rapid aging because they wanted her to grow up quickly, but this resulted in her having a short lifespan unless she was constantly on medicine. Rose is an improved evelyn and she is far more natural, she grows normally because ethan never indicates that Rose isnt aging normal, she wouldnt have stayed a baby very long otherwise.
Honestly a really bittersweet ending. I'm glad he was able to embrace his daughter at least one more time before dying. Also poor Chris had to lose another person, but I'm also excited for a potential RE 9 with Rose as the protagonist. RIP Ethan best dad of the year.
Secret is Ethan Winters died in RE7 at the start. He was a bio-weapon the whole time. Mia is still alive and Rose survives and grows up to be a bio-weapon to. Ethan Winters kills himself at the end to destroy Miranda and save Rose, Chris and Mia. The end!!!
Well, I did really learned my lesson from RE 7. When they show Ethan first time, the first person view and the texas massacre style, i hated it. Turned out to be one of the best RE I've played. When I saw what Chris as the bad guy I hated that, by I said to myself... Just wait. And it was right. Loved the story. And I certainly very curious where this Rose story is going. It's also nice to see how they handleded what it seems to be a new generation of RE characters. Can't wait to play it myself. I however want to know what happened with the BSAA, and what's about the rest of the original RE cast. I mean, unless I missed something, Jill, Claire, Leon, Ada and the rest are still somewhere doing something, isn't it?
You know, I really wish Ethan had a one liner before he blew that place sky high. Like as he looked at the giant "root" thing dead in it's organic heart "face" and just go. "You messed with the wrong family."

idk a lot of people have mixed opinions on his status mostly because a) we never got to see him actually die only him pulling the trigger on the bomb & b) some people believe the figure walking towards rose & the guard near the end is ethan. you can also tell by how the car stops, if it was just a normal civilian the car would of kept going but it stopped.
I love to think that ethan survived by regenerating himself by getting each and every bit of mold he can take. And once again he will be there to save her daughter once she needs it again.

And as we have seen, if a being made of mold takes enough damage, they will die. The mold is powerful, but it doesn't have infinite... "stamina" I suppose...
We see in the end he was already turning to dust, he knew he was truly dying already.

They probably did it that way because they wanted us to step into Ethan's shoes. This means that Ethan's face is the face of each one of us, that despite not having training in anything (combat, weapons, etc.), we always give everything of ourselves to protect the people we love and appreciate. In other words, even a simple civilian can be a great hero.

If think more into it maybe all the protagonist (except Ethan) are BOW create by the government, they can hide amongst the public without been detected, having the ability to carry a lot of equipment while running without breaking a sweat, and the ability to regenerate from any non immediately fatal damage with some green grass. These are the perfect combination for a successful BOW.

Nah, Evelyn was given rapid aging because they wanted her to grow up quickly, but this resulted in her having a short lifespan unless she was constantly on medicine.
Rose is an improved evelyn and she is far more natural, she grows normally because ethan never indicates that Rose isnt aging normal, she wouldnt have stayed a baby very long otherwise.
Rose has the mould gene from both Mia and Ethan.

Honestly a really bittersweet ending. I'm glad he was able to embrace his daughter at least one more time before dying. Also poor Chris had to lose another person, but I'm also excited for a potential RE 9 with Rose as the protagonist. RIP Ethan best dad of the year.

Well, I did really learned my lesson from RE 7. When they show Ethan first time, the first person view and the texas massacre style, i hated it. Turned out to be one of the best RE I've played. When I saw what Chris as the bad guy I hated that, by I said to myself... Just wait. And it was right. Loved the story. And I certainly very curious where this Rose story is going. It's also nice to see how they handleded what it seems to be a new generation of RE characters. Can't wait to play it myself.
I however want to know what happened with the BSAA, and what's about the rest of the original RE cast. I mean, unless I missed something, Jill, Claire, Leon, Ada and the rest are still somewhere doing something, isn't it?

idk a lot of people have mixed opinions on his status mostly because a) we never got to see him actually die only him pulling the trigger on the bomb & b) some people believe the figure walking towards rose & the guard near the end is ethan. you can also tell by how the car stops, if it was just a normal civilian the car would of kept going but it stopped.
