One thing about the symbolism. They actually were completely symmetrical in their movements while the islands were separate, but when they were together, the curse broke

Very well done, but there were hiccups in the logic. Why were the gods demanding the baby's death? It had a twin on the other island. And if you follow that there needs to be 2 on 1 island, then the King should be killed because there's just 1 king. Seems to me like the twin gods had just given the two kings their perfect successors. Identical twins, 1 for each island - just exactly like the original king twins!
Mary Y - The babies weren't identical, as they were born to different women and, anyways, one was male and the other female (I assume, judging by the different colors).
@@Andrea-xs4ny They were dressed in the same colors as their fathers. The dad in red with the red pendant dressed his baby in a red blanket. Ditto the blue dad. And I mean physically identical, not genetically. The rule was only "unique" not genetic duplicate. The two babies physically look identical. I'd take that to mean that the gods had ordained them as the next kings. They are part of a matched set even while being the heirs to the crown so there is no dispute for the kingship. And if everything is supposed to be twinned, does that mean the two Queens are also identical twins? Otherwise the fact that only one twin was a queen would make her unique and thus should be chucked into the pit. And if they are, why would the two Kings be surprised at each other? Surely they had to have known about the other or they would have been obligated to throw *themselves* into the pit! On a related note, would non-identical twins need to be killed? They'd be twins, which follows the rule. But them being different from each other makes them unique. What would be the ruling there? And, assuming the 2 kings are identical twins, and assuming the 2 queens are identical twins (otherwise they'd be unique) then genetically the two children would be siblings since they come from genetically identical parents. Since they were both born on the same night from genetically identical parents, doesn't that qualify them as twins even if they were carried by two women? The coincidences lead me to believe the babies were born through divine will, which makes it weird that the gods wanted them killed. I mean, what are the odds that the 2 kings would each have wives that went into labor and who each had only 1 child at the exact same time, then each king did the exact same things at the exact same time to end up on the bridge at the exact same moment? And that the two babies just *happened* to look exactly like each other? That just screams godly miracle to me.
@@maryy1370 was thinking the same. Makes no sense, except the whole twin-thing happened independently on each island while they had no clue about the other and the kings aren't really related. The twin gods wanted it separated, but kept mirroring the same event and same people on each island. When the kings met and put the amulet back together the twin gods lost their control over it.
