1:54 now I understand why the parents get tired by the kids but I loved the feeling of being so excited you can’t wait for Christmas Day but very slowly each Christmas the excitement dissipates a little bit and now I just miss the feeling that you have as a kid
I am a Christmas Queen. I've already got gifts purchased (and wrapped) for almost half of my list. Can't light up the outside of my condo because of HOA so I make all of my gifts look super extra instead; even I acknowledge I have a ribbon problem (just ask my 18 gallon tote of ribbons and no, I'm not exaggerating). I provide my siblings, parents, in-laws, nieces, and nephews a steady stream of baked goods and cookies from when they arrive (generally early to mid morning) until they leave (late afternoon to late night) from batches of a hundred or so a person that I made and decorated just for them. This is in addition to the meals I make. And mulled cider/fresh cocoa/mulled wine/mead all day. To be fair I am just as extra for birthdays and other holidays. This is why I am our designated hostess lmao
Me too! I host Thanksgiving and Christmas because I'm all about the holidays!! I have 6 kids and all of the older ones are following suit! At least I now have alot of hands to help with all of this now! Happy Holidays!!! 😉
Oh my gosh! That sounds so much fun! Your family and friends are so lucky! I definitely would love to get to that level someday, but my son will only be 8 months old at Christmas and I'll have my hands busy! 😂

What caused it was the city not paying Detroit for water, switching to a direct river source that was more acidic. This lead to the built up sediment that would normally make lead pipes safe to use being leached out and dissolved. This causes further damage to the water quality and pipes themselves as sediment that was filtering chemicals is removed. The city was given millions to resolve the issue how they saw fit. Many believe misappropriation of funds and personal enrichment occurred. As of 2021, pretty much all of the city's pipes had been replaced and the water source was moved back to Detroit then the great lakes water authority. Nothing except poor city management caused the issue. They switched to a more acidic water source without accounting for it thinking they could save money.
If our kids threw a fit like that, they would get a belt taken to them and their presents would be taken away! As a matter of fact, I brought the tree home in my DIESEL powered truck! 😂 And the way the blonde character put on makeup almost made me spit out my drink!
