I think it's hysterical that he went ahead to win the race & let her father drown. I was expecting him to rescue the father & and have him be rewarded by not destroying the town to build his factory.
Acting was spot on. Especially Penn's vrooming in his car. Hahaha! When he discovers it's Patricia giving out notices and she says "I'm just a small town girl", am I the only one who sang out loud "LIVING IN A LONELY WORLD!!"?
I just gave an audible round of applause when I saw Penn in the movie! No way, right when I started watching I was thinking that Taylor should involve the Holderness family in this video, the pros when it comes to Hallmark movie spoofs. This did not disappoint!!! You left out the bit about big corporate dealmaker's car breaking down, and they will be stranded there for 2 weeks awaiting a part, because nobody there ever heard of Fedex, UPS or car rentals. Or am I confusing this with the plot of the non-holiday Hallmark movies?
For a second i thought i was watching an actual Hallmark movie Lol. You forgot a couple of stages though. The almost kiss stage, where they are just about to kiss but get interrupted. Also the misunderstanding stage, where they over hear something and jump to a conclusion.
They have the formula down pat. I've never seen a Hallmark movie, yet I feel as if I've seen them all after this breakdown. I love Penn's plastic jacket, the reindeer named "Steve" and even the "real" husky that kept humping Dude Dad's leg. Merry Christmas, one and all!

Haha, my grandma was living with my parents before she died. My dad ended up having a stroke and had to stay come and recover. All my grandma watched was the hallmark channel and it drove him insane! He used to yell from another room, did they get married yet. Which then drove my grandma crazy. 🤣
