    About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. I am originally from the rural community of Howard, South Dakota.

@DudeDad so, I learned something recently ... it's called the pelvic bowl 😳 due to health issues, I needed a hysterectomy asap, and while I don't remember the exact conversation w/my ob/gyn surgeon, I said pelvic floor and she corrected me saying pelvic bowl. Who knew, lol
LOVED the video - Heidi is correct in that you capture the craziness of your mind running in 10 different directions at once trying to keep Everyone happy. At the end of the day, if nobody needed a trip to the ER, it was a good day, haha.

@@Tambryl Hey, your doctor might have been trying to say that your issues are in more areas than just your pelvic floor. When they said "pelvic bowl" that could be reffering to the the bones that make up your pelvis or all the muscles that are connected to it or perhaps your entire pelvic cavity (pelvic bowl isn't an actual anatomical term). Pelvic floor is the correct term for the muscle that separates the pelvic cavity from the perineal region (the more external region). Hope this can be helpful info!

Right? Like he wrote a book for dads. This is the most important to talk about after a birth for men. Get that doctor to do a great job and encourage your women to do those excerises everyday😉

    • @becominghero9754
      @becominghero9754 6 месяцев назад

@@kj7792 Man, don't make p elvic floor stuff about dude's pleasure. The most important thing to talk about after a birth for men is fatherhood and companionship. You're harkening back to the times when doctors would add an extra suture at the base of tears after birth, called "the husband's knot" to "tighten" things for dudes. That's f'd up stuff that led to worsened scarring and pain.
P elvic floor exercises are so that urination and even basics like sitting in old age aren't a problem. Older women can actually have prolapse, which can be quite painful and worsen risk of infection. P exercises also strengthen a woman's ability to control depth of p enetration, to improve pain during inte rcourse.
S exy times with "your women" shouldn't be about an anatomical ideal like "tightness," but about creativity. Because if you're with someone long-term, things are going to change. You're both going to age. If you're not able to come up with creative and loving in tercouse without "tightness," you're setting up for a bad marriage.
      Don't be creepy!

We lived a good 15 minutes away (by car) from our kids school. We lived on a farm, and there were no school buses so we had to drive our kids both ways every day. We did manage to carpool for a few years, but that didn't work out. (Long story). Anyway, if there was a snow day, it was kind of a mixed bag reaction....on the one hand, we'd get so much snow, we couldn't get out of our driveway anyway. Though we lived right off the main highway for some reason, it was never cleared, so we'd be stuck in our house for a few days anyways. Fortunately the kids loved the snow and would be outside for hours. So on the one hand, we were relieved to be able to not have to drive, but on the other hand, if it was more than a day, it could get quite whiney around the house....

I always know by the next day or day after the snow will be gone so these were precious moments with my kids. But Taylor accurately captures some of the chaos of family life. If Heidi gets a bath by herself, that's amazing. Most of us moms just want to take a pee. BY OURSELVES. But alas, not a happening thing with young kids.

Loved the SECRET cookie recipe and Heidi walking around with the creamer. I suggest an episode dedicated to the creamer. Hidden around the house like people hide liquor. 1st cup of coffee in the morning a shot glass of creamer, by the end of the day, a shot glass of coffee added to the cup of creamer. Creamer face mask, hair treatment, sitting by the bath while taking a bath, in your purse, snow bank, ice chest in the garage, barbecue grill, you have the kids make a snow igloo for your benefit to hide the creamer, wrapped lovenly in blankets, tucked in so they won't freeze..☺ All pumpkin spice late, until a friend calls and announces the Christmas flavors are at target, you drop everything and head out. There's gotta be a company that can support your creamer addiction video. I'm going today to get the pumpkin spice late, and while there, more...Thank you, you keep our days Merry and Bright. 💃🎄🕺

Speaking as someone who has had pelvic floor issues.... The pelvic floor are basically muscles that rest in the cradle of the pelvic bones and are used to push out pee, poo, and babies. If you have a weak pelvic floor for example, you are going to have a lot of bladder related accidents. Kiegel exercises are going to strengthen that floor for pushing out the babies, or holding your pee till you can get into a bathroom. Lol

I love these Taylor videos. All kidding aside, he pays attention. Children are such a blessing but a lot of work.

Omg, once I was attempting to create a DIY flea spray for the cat by "simmering" lemons in water. I went into the basement and attempted to fold laundry, do homework, and keep the kids from killing each other. By the time I remembered the lemon water... the pot was ruined, the lemons were incinerated, and I am 107% sure it caught on fire at some point.

Men have a pelvic floor too Taylor. 😊 It’s the muscle band that holds all your pelvic organs in. You’re welcome.

The pelvic floor is like the chassis of a car. If you try to force a smaller, newer car through it, you will end up with intermittent leaks and exhaust problems.

Ha! Don’t worry Heidi, when our second baby was a few weeks old we were so sleep deprived that we would get up in the middle of the night to feed baby and then immediately sterilize the bottles on the stove…. My husband went to sanitize them (and didn’t let me know) then we both fell asleep…. Next thing to know the smoke alarm went off around midnight. We were living in a high rise condo at the time and my husbands first response to putting it out was to throw it in the sink and turn the water on it…… the wholeeeee room filled with toxic plastic smoke and we had to run into the hallway. My oldest ran out in his underwear and I was standing there holding our newborn (in my pajamas) and security ran to our room and told me to close the door to the room so that the smoke didn’t fill the hallway and make the sprinkler go off and make the fire doors lock to the rest of the complex. 😖🫣😵‍💫🤦🏼‍♀️ the bottles had pretty much evaporated into mush. 🤣

It doesn't matter nearly so much what he got wrong or right: It was HILARIOUS!!!! That's what mattered.
BTW, Taylor, the pelvic floor's function that they are referencing all the time is the fact that it holds everything together (including their MIND) when the stress gets away from them as well as their BLADDER CONTROL, or their future bladder control!

I don’t interpret it as an impression of Heidi, but a parody of a typical mom, presented through Heidi.
So these “inaccuracies “ are still very accurate for an average mom.

I like that Taylor would be the first one to call and she'd find a way to make it his fault. lol My husband, after 37 years of marriage, now just says it's his fault before I say anything. :)

I loved this video - was actually looking forward to seeing Heidi's reaction. It captures the mom's ideal versus the crazy reality. But! as a mom of a kindergartner who has two other littles and has to make a school dropoff and pickup. I WANT the snow days. I'll get up early to make sure I don't have to wake them up. I'm sure when they're all in school that will probably change. 🙂
