About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. I will also be hosting my own TV show called "Super Dad" on the new Magnolia Network / Discovery+. Heidi and the kids will also be a part of the show. I am originally from the rural community of Howard, South Dakota.

Dude Dad figuring out how to milk 2 videos out of every video is a prime working smarter, not harder
Both are entertaining
Also works on me every time😂
It's working lol
Well... when you have a generic flexible job, that's what you have to do.
We all LIVE for Heidi's reactions lol
I think the amount of chemistry and inside jokes these two have after years of marriage and parenting together, and how happy taylor gets when he realizes heidi finds his quads attractive, is just amazing. You guys are great together.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Heidi reacting to every video. Especially if they relate to parenting.
The homeschool parent driving past talking about how glad they are that they don't have to wait in that line and also how evil public school is 😂
The homeschool mom is at home in her pjs saying okay let’s read our scripture then get dressed go on a walk and start school. Yeah after I finish my coffee. I’m not getting dressed and rushing no!
Yes 😂
Yesssss 🤣😂🙌
@@lmw716 🙌
🤣🤣🤣
I’m definitely the impatient one… everyone needs to teach their kids to jump outta their cars like they’re storming the shores of Normandy!! 😋
😂😂😂
Yeeesss! 💯
Yes! I say this too! Either that or “I’m going to slow down, it’s time to tuck and roll out of the car.”
First day ever of school, every kid in pre 3 early learners is bawling their eyes out "mommy!! Noooo, I scared!!! ITS THE APOCALYPSE"
our little chaos goblin didnt even glance back ..... I swear, "K, BYE FELICIA" vibe was so strong ....
Picking her up, all these sweet little babies running towards momma....
Of course, mine was like "NO, I DONT WANNA GO HOME! I WANNA STAY AT SCHOOL"
Hey, does it hurt a bit? Well, yeah. But .... she isn't afraid to be out there, doing new things. As a parent, it's good to know she isn't afraid. Do I want her to want me? DUH. But I take comfort in the fact that she doesn't NEED me to be there 24/7. She's independent, a strong personality, and not quite 4. I am not gonna live forever, and I would rather cherish the time we have than make her so scared of the world she can't explore new friends and new situations. In a safe, protected environment, of course.
Omg hahaha!!!
Easily a part 2- so many more parents. Rolled out of bed, over dressed, walking families, etc. Homeschool family and we always say glad we aren’t in the car line anymore.
And don't forget all the dogs who come to drop off and pick up
I can't decide which I like more, Taylor's videos or Heidi's reactions 🤣
Heidi’s reactions! Her laugh gets me every time! 🤣😂🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤
Same!
The reaction includes the video too, so it is not even a debate:)
Both are ACES!👍🏻💕
My mom would avoid the car line by dropping me off around the corner from the school 😂
I don't know you or your mom, but I love her just because of this. Dropping my kids off at the corner to avoid an annoying line is EXACTLY what I would do!
Yeah my mom did that too. Her thoughts were you have two feet and a heart beat so you can walk around the corner to get there
That's my husband 😂
Sama mama here! And we enjoyed a few mins together getting some fresh air over the bock to school.
My dad did this once when the sidewalks were covered in ice. 🫠
What about the "he's their problem now" parent who is more than happy to send the child away for a few hours.
I love the Heidi reacts videos! Don’t stop making these
Here’s a couple of possible ideas. 1. Different parents at parent-teacher conferences. 2. Different parents helping to chaperone a class on a field trip. Include the parent, who is also a teacher but is there because their child is in the class, is always getting the “rougher”/unruly kids. This happens to me all the time. I’m on a field trip with several other parents. All of the other parents get groups with their child and their friends. My child is put into another group (usually with the teacher) and I don’t get to spend time with my child and his friends and my day is trying to contain a group of kids from creating an international incident.
Same. I teach a behavior class. So I always get the kids that are going to cause the most trouble because "I can handle them". NOT A GOOD TIME.
Clinger! We're homeschoolers, but I do have to say a sad goodbye every Monday when she goes to her forest school class. I was tempted to follow the group at a distance on the first day just to be sure she (I) was okay, but refrained. I'll just be the "early to pick-up" parent to watch her class under the pretence of "being in the area".
Your 5 parents drop off was the funniest video you’ve made. My husband and I laughed through the whole thing.
PTA Mom... I used to volunteer a lot at one school. We had to change schools due to circumstances, but stayed in the area. I actually had the volunteer coordinator call me a month into the school year because I hadn't been doing my usual volunteer work which included helping organize one of their biggest fund raisers. They had no idea my kids weren't going to the school any longer.
Love this! Always a great laugh. 😄Y’all should do the different parents on a field trip next. 🤭🤭
Throat punch! 😂😂😂😂
Soooo proud of you!!😂😂😂😂
I think I will share this with our vice principal. Hahaha...throat punch. Love it!
I honestly wish you guys had your own tv show. This is the best channel on you tube!!!!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
At least here we can watch for free but they still make money. He has a show on Magnolia network but we refuse to pay for streaming services 😅
These react videos of Heidi are GOLD!!! I love watching them! I'm the Impatient Parent every. single. morning/afternoon
One you missed. The nosy/gossipy parent who asks their kids of they've heard anything about other parents via their schoolmates or friends.
Of the judgemental parent who criticizes other parents on what they drive, or how they dress their kids for school.
Fur real though! Make a part two y’all!
You forgot the parent that hangs out gabbing with the others parents way after the bell rings and the kids go inside!
Yep I'm that parent. 🤣 I'm still trying to figure out all 12 students parents. Must be friends with all of them.
🤣😂🤣 PTA mom you nailed!
How are they not at a million yet! I love them!
I once read that we should say to
our kids, "You must be so proud of
yourself," instead of, "I'm so proud
of you" because they'Il grow up
intrinsically motivated rather than
motivated only to please others.
❤
I love the react series especially when I've had three or four days to watch the original one first a couple times and then the react comes out. Be sure to put together a react playlist
You missed the early bird dad. Dude who shows up too early and kids can’t get in. Everyone is put together, breakfast done, lunch good to go…. Then you got to drive around the block a couple times until they open the gate.
Don’t ask how I know.
😂
We never had a drop off line. Elementary school was 100 yards away. Middle school there was bus. In high school, my son chose a " zero period " class ( ugh) 7 am drop off for band practice. I don't know how I even got through that!
I'm definitely a combo of 1 and 4. Or totally one or the other depending on the day . My son also loves these vlogs and he actually was the one who found the vlog first and was like, " Mom, you gotta watch the latest Dude Dad" and he gave the look and a "mmmhmmm". 😆
Couldn’t wait to see each new parent everyday they were posted! 😂 Some parents I’d like to see: Young parents vs older parents, wearing pajamas to drop off/ messy bun, dad in sandals & shorts year round, social vs anti social parents.
Great characters. Every exaggeration sprouts from a seed of truth.
What about the parent that you can tell is being extra on purpose to annoy their kid? Cause that’s me 🤣
You missed the fashionista mom. The mom who can’t leave the house without her hair, make up and outfit have to be on point because she thinks everyone is looking at her
OR the opposite like me....still in my PJ's with no bra on hoping the car doesn't break down so that I never have to get out of the car!
You two are such an adorable couple. Your children are growing up with parents who love the daylight out of each other and I know from experience what a reassuring feeling that is. You both seem like really genuinely nice and fun people. It's lovely.
I am ALWAYS the first parent. My husband would be 20 mins early and still think he is late because he wasn’t 30 mins early! Lol!
I'm the parent that tells my kids "love you now to get" while my car is still idoling and there's 5 mins before the school will let kids in. Of course I also have the kind of kids that sees friends and totally forgets I'm there.
You forgot the parent that won't get out of the car to open the door for their kid because they are in their pajamas. Me, I'm the parent that wouldn't get out of the car. I was always in my pajamas.
Yes! Heidi reacts are amazing!!! Love you guys so much!!! ❤️
I love the Midwest accent of the PTA parent! Haha! You guys are so funny!
Heidi was IN this video tho. In the car for PTA mom. Did she not know what he was doing? I like to think she doesn’t. And him just showing up in a wig and dress just doesn’t baffle her anymore. 😂
I had to send this to my sister in-law she is on the pta .she loved it we have made so many jokes about it now .we love yall
I love these! Heidi gets such a kick out of them! Great job Dude Dad!
Love her reactions as always! And Taylor, ugh "most relatable to" are in Fact all words 🤣 you were right Heidi. ❤ you all
Love these just as much as the regular vids
Sent the original video to my wife and a couple of my friends. I am the irritated dad always in a meeting on his AirPods, my wife is the pto mom and extra loving mom, our neighbors are a mix between the always late, cycling parent and ironically the dad got laid off the day it came out and my wife was hitting him up to help with pto volunteering (and I hadn’t told her yet he got laid off) it played out almost exactly like this once she found out too.
I LOVE the Heidi Reacts!!
Hey guys, I'm not a parent, but my mom would have been the Clinger and my late bff was closest to the Always Late. Heidi, I LOVE your dress. You look so glamorous! Blessed be.
Guys you are awesome! Please make a part two!!!!!!!!! ❤
I could be each one, except the PTA mom! This was gold!!!!! PTA mom is why I volunteered as little as possible! Ugh! Writing a check was always my ticket out of the nonsense!
I love the reacts videos and I love how real you guys are. Parenting is hard enough without our own pressures we put on ourselves. Thank you fo all you do! Keep up the mazing work and God bless!
I freaking love these guys! Such a light in this crazy world! ❤
God bless 🙏🙏
Yess!!! ❤️
Love watching Heidi’s reaction video’s! She’s the best!!
I love you guys so much!! 🥰😂
I have so much fun watching your videos, I don’t live in the US but I can definitely relate to a few of these characters (late, always thinking we are the only one disorganised, so thanks too for making me feel better about this 😄)
Lolol punch him right the throat . You guys are so cute. I love Heidi reacts videos.
I love you guys! Can you tell I'm from Colorado?😀🤣🤣🤭. Thanks for keeping it real and real fun.
I really like seeing Heidi's reactions. You both just crack me up. I was the clinger as well. I see a lot of me in your videos. Good times!🥰🥰🥰
Loved it! How about the day a parent faces the fact their child doesn't want that goodbye hug anymore!
Omgosh! I just love you guys! You are the cutest and you make me laugh so hard! Always bringing smiles to people's faces 🙂❤️ I don't have the pleasure of experiencing school drop-off yet since my kids are 3 and under. I am sure I will be a mix of the clinger and the impatient parent when I get there, though.
Love you guys .Videos are so hilarious.
Love the reaction videos lol personally with the pta mom I have no issue rolling my window up on them and turning up the radio
Love these reaction videos!
Heidi now knows where her clothes are... I love her reactions!
You two are the absolute cutest!!
Thank you for sharing your videos
I honestly like watching Heidi’s reaction
Cycle outfit is a def 10!!!
I love Heidi reacts
PTA Mom was hilarious. Sounded like a Mom from Michigan and Canada border
You both are the cutest, I’m the late sort all the time 😂
I love you two!! ❤️😆
You two together are a great comedy team
Hey I love your videos and with your wife. This video is so true
Thanks Cody!
I love the reaction videos!
The PTA is relatable at my school. Then talking behind our back! Lol
You know we love it when you react to all his videos
Missing: the parent that drops them off and doesn’t look back!
Heidi looks gorgeous!
that baby bump tho!
are u serious?
Someone better hide that cycle outfit or there is gonna be a 5th ...
Need the nightmare little league dad in the car line or the coach. Would be similar to the important business meeting guy, but might just get out of the car to tell people to get out of the way.
Y'all crack me up!
Best parents ever ❤
I work at a school and this is SPOT ON! The “Clingers” are plentiful. One woman will do a (2) minute goodbye “handshake” (full of fist bumps and sound effects) with her son and end it with “Make your day as great as you!”.
Please make a part 2
Taylor i love your videos
I was def impatient mom... But I blame it on my inflexible job. But now I am WFH and could do biking or clinging, but kids drive themselves to school now! 😁
I was the PTA president for three years and I promise I never did this! We were just grateful for anyone (we didn't require volunteer hours). But man, I've heard stories about folks like that...
Love Heidi with the straight hair look!
Heidi reacts videos are my favourite.
I about lost it in pick-up line the day you premiered this video because there was a mom going from car to car trying to get parents to take coupon books to sell. hahahaha
You missed the mom who helps all 4 of her kids out of the van in the middle of the pick-up line every morning. Put their backpacks on them, unbuckles the car seat, gives them their lunch, hugs and kisses goodbye, then waves as they walk to the sidewalk and doesn't get in until they're with a teacher walking them inside.
It almost felt like after this episode Heidi was like “do you wanna….” 😅😅😅
i like the heidi reacts videos i think they’re funny
I’m PTO President and my board has been quoting your PTA Mom for the last couple days. “I know you are busy but I also know you want to be a good mom.” 😂 Also we are now wondering if we need to raise money to regrease all the doors 😉
Distracted glued to cellphone parent
As a teacher this is so funny!! You did miss one though from my perspective. It's the "I gotta talk to the teacher......every single day" parent. Ma'am no one wants to speak to you at 730 in the morning everyday. There's nothing left to say except just homeschool... lol
When my youngest was in kindergarten, I was field trip Mommy. Fun, fun, fun😆😆😆😆
I live in Wisconsin the new PTO character is great!
Taylor forgot the parent that just boots the kid out the door and makes them walk to school alone - they may or may not have their lunch money.
Love this video and reaction! I am the always the late parent.
My kids have been done with school for 20 years but I was both the late one and the clingy one.
The PTA President was the most funny 😂
The hair change at the door is almost every day!
This is so cute 💖💖
