About Dude Dad:
Hi! I'm Taylor Calmus, a Colorado-based actor/comedian. I started Dude Dad© two weeks before my son Theo was born as a way to stay creative while learning to be a father. My wife Heidi and I now have 3 kids and over 300+ videos. My purpose for the channel is to entertain, enlighten and inspire.
In addition to Dude Dad©, I have been in numerous TV shows, commercials, and have regular appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. As a homeschool mom, this is literal every day life for me. It is CRAZY accurate, and like them at the end of the day, we know through the exhaustion the we wouldn't have it any other way. 🥰
Whenever I’ve gotten annoyed even on the most stressful days, looking at them sleeping I forget why I was so mad and felt bad.

@@DudeDad See what you need to understand is that for us, it's not as hard as that. I'm a homeschool mom of 5. And I'm not any more saintly than Heidi. But my kid's noise and activity level are my everyday normal, not a bombshell one week a school year. I guess I'm acclimated to it! But also my KIDS are used to being home all the time. The rules and expectations are THEIR everyday normal, so the testing of the rules is not quite as frequent, and being home all week isn't a special occasion meriting extra mischief. So having my kids home 24/7 is NOT like your spring break, all year long. It really is easier.
dude, preach it brother. 5 kids here, yet I can envision the day this chaos departs my life and I know I'll miss it dearly. We are blessed.
Same here! Some days are hard to enjoy, but time flies by! Trying to be more joyfully present 🙂

Dang, 5! You go mom & dad 👏🏼💪🏼 we have 3 boys aged 5 and under. Outings are a calamity. When I take them out in public, people always give me ‘the look’ and a slip a “You’ve got your hands full” comment in… I’m sure your wife gets doubly unpleasant treatment from strangers. 😂 I’m always tempted to say back “Yes my hands are full, if you’d like to lend me one of yours I’d be greatful. Here’s my grocery list.” Lol
@@hanC21317 LOL, yes we make a spectacle of ourselves everywhere we go. We are for sure done at 5, my poor wife's body probably couldn't handle another, she's already given so much...all you mom's are incredible. We fly all the time, no family lives near us, and that is a real spectacle. People wearing masks and sanitizing every single surface in the plane while we notice our 3yr old licking a seat, our baby eating puffs off the floor, our 3 oldest jumping over each other to get to the window seat first....we look at each other and shrug our shoulders as if to say "could be worse"...good times

The years that your all in, is the hardest and the BEST! Enjoy them, you will be rewarded with grandchildren someday, that you get to send back home!😉😆
All the YES! My 3 kids are 39, 35 and 35. I have 4 grandchildren, 2 girls aged 15 and 14 and two boys, aged 6 and almost 4. Just finished spring break here. I thought my daughter was going to lose it before it was over. We were a military family and I was almost always alone with the kids on spring break, since the Army thought it would be a good idea to plan some kind of field training exercise during the "first week of good weather".
This is completely spot on accurate! I'm a father of 5 (14,9,7,5,2 yr old) The kids eating the box of granola bars, wet foot prints all over the house, and the kicking on the couch, had my wife and I in complete shock that the experience was captured on camera!! This was so good.🤣👍

Yup. My grandkids were over yesterday and although the sofa is actually long enough for each of them to lay down and NOT touch, of course that's not what they did. I immediately flashed back to my sister and I have kick fights on the couch, and MY grandmother coming over an wallopping my sister in the face with a book. Man.

Yep. Our three are two years apart and this made the early elementary/preschool days just come SCREAMING back. The oldest is now in high school but we still see variations of all this. But now they do more chores. So, balance.
I literally teared up right as Heidi stopped with the drawings over the garbage can. Knew where THAT was going. Straight to my freaking mommy heart~♡

@@DudeDad We are day two into spring break right now with 5 kids and we have literally had water all over the house, playing with my tools, sneaking all the food, fighting over the couch, fighting over music, listening to Bruno, getting EVERYTHING out, not putting it away. I WFH and the house is half remodeled, so it's absolutely nuts. You NAILED it! I asked my wife and said ask me at the end of the week and she'll have a few new things to add to the list of craziness.
The helmet indoors is so accurate. 😂😂😂 this is my life!!! I am a stay-at-home mom of 3 boys, none of which are school age yet. They’re home with me 24/7. Our life is this level of chaos all year round lmao. I loved this video!

Hilarious and so very relatable! We have 6 sons (and homeschool) and one of them in particular is very dramatic when it comes to getting slightly or injured so that part really got me! 😂 And how much they try to avoid going outside and the slumped shoulders when walking towards the door...also super relatable. 👌😂They’re such a blessing though...even with all the messes and crazy. It’s the biggest blessing being parents! 🥰

Same! I got 3 nieces and one nephew and when it comes to play time they do NOT mess around.
Same I have 2 nephews and one niece though the other nephews is still a baby. But the other two keep me on my toes pretty well and am not even there mother lol. There are times I feel like I see them more then my sister dose!😂🤣🤣❤️❤️❤️

I'm wondering how it felt to be kids again? Especially for heidi? Loved this! I personally miss the feeling of being carefree of mental health comparing when entering the real world. So much of normality and naitivy that the world is so peaceful and fun during those years...

One word came to me at the end…LOVE! what u do is awesome… what a blessing. God is pleased for sure… i suffer every day from parents who were too abused to handle it…. I almost wished you were my parents when i was a kid watching this, for real, but i know my life and grace are in God, but I am trying to tell you , i understand what kind of potential i would have had had if i had the kind of freedom and love you give… ya, u get frustrated, but that is tolerable for a child bc u still emanate love in your frustration and graceful restraint…. they feel like their home is safe and free and they will feel that they are safe in this world and in their own skins bc of the environment u struggle to provide… but you already know that:)… watching your vids is often the only time i laugh in a day..thanks so much for that ( the other channels i watch have mixed their content with too much cynical/heavier or crude stuff I’m too sensitive for which leaves me sad… ) you are blessed..I know you love God very much and your gratitude to God shows…and i pray for you both. Peace and blessings Heidi and Tyler… When it feels like too much, absorb the innocence there in your families eyes and be restored by that little piece of heaven you have fought with blood and tears to preserve.

Haha...I drove my 5 and 3 yr old from Minnesota to Tulsa for Spring Break this year. Children's Museum, awesome parks, zoo, "oreo cows," extended family and comparatively tropical weather. A+ trip in my book.
