As of right now, 70 % of the oil we use already comes from Canada (i.e. AB and SK).

Ya, needs twisted intellectual acrobaties to put all together the explanations of that situation. Perhaps, former PM Stephen Harper, also a former Alberta deputy, could tell us more why he made the most recent péréquation rules that way.
Harper would have never become PM if he didnt buy off Quebec. Not sure if you've noticed the unequal representation by region but your province is doing quite well. Time for Quebec to be a contributing member of this country. They dont make these videos without there being some truth to it - if you've read any of the comments here, I'm pretty sure people agree with me

OK. Just one thing. One thing, but I mean three. Stephen Harper won three elections (2006, 2008 & 2011) to maintain himself PM of Canada. In none of these three elections Mr Harper needed Québec to form his government. Not even the 2011 election where the conservatives finally got a majority of deputies in the House of Commun. So...?
