This is comedy gold. Never happen in the US, as you would get taken down before ever getting 20 feet from a politician in the open.
I live in the states and comedians used to do things like this but right now I don’t think anyone would get away with it. The climate is too tense.

Yeah, especially considering what Bill will be mostly remembered for is cheating on her. I have an absolutely demented sense of humour, but that made me uncomfortable.
He wasn't saying Hillary was unattractive. He indicated that Bill Clinton would be the most unattractive first lady, i.e., if Hillary won the presidency.

Great show, now when do we get a US version? I checked 82.5% of our politicians are idiots and we have a hell of a lot of them to choose from. You would never run low on material, and Canadians are so nice, who wouldn't cooperate? The show title might need to be slightly changed, we have more commercials than Canada, but then you have Jian, back to topic 18 Minutes might be a good title.
Bobby Paluga This could never be done in the US. Never. Most US politicians are too conscious of their image to play along even for a few seconds, and they take great care to script and polish their interactions with the media. Just look at the interviews with politicians on The Daily Show -- that's always the very poorest part of an otherwise great show. Jon Stewart has to play softball with politicians or none of them would come on (I'd actually prefer if he didn't bother). The only way you can get close to what 22 Minutes does is if you sneak up on congressional representatives, like what Stephen Colbert did with "Better Know a District" -- and he could only do what he originally set out to do when he wasn't too well known yet. Very few representatives would agree to an interview after they figured out who he was; heck, Rahm Emanuel actively advised Democrats against participating.
+Bobby Paluga The closest you will get is Colbert, or similar shows. Australia has a few shows from The Chaser that are similar, and the Chasers War on Everything is hilarious.
+Bobby Paluga Not really the same as 22 minutes but you have..daily show, nightley show, john oliver show, colberts late night, and now you have samatha bee news show.
+Duhya I think John Oliver is the closest... The only Comedy I watch on a regular basis is Canadian and British Comedy, but even the latter has it's days of being boring. The former also but less so usually!

The show made to mildly criticize liberals and to mock conservatives. You see how this guy pet liberals on the shoulders? This a creation of liberals.

It's budget comedy that airs during evenings on a national network and often features politicians. Of course it's going to be bland and inoffensive. Feel free to look at the "What Could Possibly Go Wrong?" video for a rare example of something *really* good, though - mostly because it shows what everyone is thinking about you Americans.
And what's this second part about? I'm not worried about anything. Who is "they" and what are these laws that you're citing?
Robert Hanson in Canada you can now literally be fined for calling a transperson a man.. if you don’t pay that fine you can than have men with guns take you to a cage and lock you up. And that’s not all, they banned books, and any speech deemed “hate speech” by the Canadian government can and will get you locked up.. these laws have recently been strengthened under Justin trudass

The show that this clip is from once damaged US-Canada relations by getting one of our MPs to call Americans bastards and stick needles into a Bush doll. It also tricked some American politicians to say some really dumb things about Canada (look up "Talking to Americans") and also ruined the official photo of a hockey team by photobomb. It got a mayor of one of our cities to abuse a 911 operator when he was ambushed.
I'll agree that overall the show isn't that funny, but what else are you expecting them to joke about? It's Canadian political satire. Canadian politics are boring. Obviously, Americans who don't really know anything about Canadian politics are going to find even less enjoyment about it. What are some American comedies they should be aspiring to? Give me an example.

In a Canadian court for calling a trans person a man.. just freaking google it would ya!?
