This is the BEST tree tutorial ever!!! I've failed miserably at painting trees....I'm hoping this technique will finally let me create something gorgeous! Beautiful card❤.
You paint the best trees, including the snow, I've ever seen. And, I think I could actually try that and have it come out half-way decent! I also like the way the water dots you put in the sky came out. They actually look like snowflakes busting open in the air. I subscribed as I want to see more of your art.
I've never watercolored anything, but you make it look very 'doable' so I will have to get a few supplies and give this card a try! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!
I'm a beginner and have done something similar... I did it in imaginary blue for my grandchildren... love your impressive card... looks like I'll have to try this! Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us!!! Happy Thanksgiving! A grateful California gramma 😄🌴🌺💕
This is such a beautiful and peaceful scenery ~ I love it very much. Thank you very much for your video, it's awesome again. I love it to see how your masterpiece come on step by step ~ so I can learn from you. Yesterday we have had the first snow here this year, but I live in the city and your scenery is only a wonderful dream for me... Have a nice day, Katrin and cats 😊⭐⛄🐱💛
Thank you for your tutorial. It was well explained especially about snow on trees. Not really seen this (being Australian) but you make it seem so real.
Dana, thank you for your wonderful xmas card tutorials. I've made several of yours this year (the presents ranked the coolest ones!), and as a new artist, I'm so grateful for artists such as yourself, sharing the craft of this alive medium. I also love how you explain the nitty gritty details (the wreath of leaves that you tell us how to use the stroke) with simplicity. You have also helped me avoid pitfalls with your cautionary tips! Have a very Merry Christmas and again, thank you so much. Fanna Turano Denver, CO
I love your instruction. Very detailed and step-by-step lesson. Thanks so much for posting this video. It might even work for a beginner like me. I subscribed and I hope to benefit from your lessons in the future.
Thank you so much for this one--I love it. Also, I have your new book and it has been a lifesaver. My daughter asked me to paint a series of woodland creatures for my granddaughter's room. Your book came to my rescue. I look forward to your next book!
This is my favorite holiday watercolor! So cute! I tried this a few times and it got better and better. No matter your skill level, this watercolor painting will still turn out beautifully! Please like if you liked this video! :)
I definitely thought from the photo on instagram that you would have used the salt technique for the large snowflakes...so it was really fun to learn another technique for a similar effect! :D Thanks!
Thank you for a timeless video! I really learned alot and enjoyed your tutorial. This was just the inspiration that I needed to make a watercolor card. Again, thanks for posting this even if I am over a year late viewing it!😀
Great watercolor greeting card my new friend! Liked and subscribed to your channel! You have some great tutorials including this one! I'm glad I found you! 👏👍😀
This is so pretty! Mine looks nothing like it. 😅 I don't know if you have the time for questions, but just in case : My water snowflake spots don't show up. I dot water but nothing happens. Is it because I'm using tube paint? I'm also using canson paper, but mine is all lumpy from the water when I get to the tree part, yours looks smooth. Is masking tape not the best choice? Thank you!
Christy K for the snowflakes, the paint on your paper has to still be damp. Not too wet not too dry. If your paper is lumpy it’s not suited for that much water. You can use a hairdryer to dry before you start the trees. Start in the middle and work the heat out toward the edges
My first couple of cards are beautiful but I am having a problem with dropping in the dots of water to make the "snowflakes" they are not bleeding out as yours are! I every so slightly dried my paper as you suggested, maybe too much?
Thank you so much for the easy way to paint trees & snow, I am a beginner & have learnt so much just watching this. Brilliant
Nice! I added some dots of glitter paint as well and did 3 trees plus the background trees.
Wow this is awesome; love how the snowflakes in the sky just appear and grow. Such a pretty card to send or receive. Thank you for this lovely video.
Cant wait to give mine out!!
Love this tutorial. First time I saw you, but it won't be the last. Thanks for sharing your talent....

@@thewonderforest thank you! I'm experimenting with cotton paper and liquid paint.
SO COOL!!
Absolutely beautiful! I am using this design for my cards this year thank you for sharing! Question: What nail polish are you wearing? I love it!

Wow nice tutorial Wonder Forest👍 You are so creative I love it❤️ I use also the same technique with a wet cloth to fade the clouds👍 Merry Christmas❤️
You are welcome ❤️❤️❤️
My first couple of cards are beautiful but I am having a problem with dropping in the dots of water to make the "snowflakes" they are not bleeding out as yours are! I every so slightly dried my paper as you suggested, maybe too much?
Yes I'd say just don't let it dry as much first!
