Here is a list of the possible issues for those of you having to deal with this. This is a sign of a misfire and might not throw any codes 1. get new spark plugs, (if you're replacing one you might as well replace them all) 2. Get new coil packs (they're right on top of the spark plugs, same as before, if you're replacing one replace them all) 3. EGR valve, which is what is being zoomed up on in the video, that valve controls air into the combustion system (when air doesn't go in at the proper ratio you can have a misfire) 4.fuel injectors, if your fuel injectors are all gummed up OR you have bad gasoline that can also cause a misfire and lead to that shaking in the engine. You can try using lucas fuel additive, my uncle swears by it, me personally seeing as mine is at 220k will have to replace the injectors anyways. 5. the most expensive fix, head gasket, due to the fact that these cars turn on and off multiple times throughout the drive, the head gaskets are known for failing over time because of the constant expansion (from heat) and contraction (from cooling down). You can check if its the head gasket by doing a pressure test on the coolant fluid or just checking the fluid itself. I for one replaced spark plugs and coils two years ago and am now looking at the EGR valve. Will go to injectors next and then finally, I hope it isn't so, the gasket.

Sounds like multiple problems. I would start with the battery issue first.
@@jaydeedee6805 sometimes after a Prius repeatedly tries to start but fails to start it will stop doing so to protect itself until you unplug the 12-volt battery for about 10 minutes and then it would start to cycle again to try to start, I hope you still have some energy in the traction battery, you may try to start it with a jump-start on a 12 v, I ended up having to remove the fuel tank to get all the water I can out of it and then also flush the entire fuel line all the way to the fuel injector rail, then replace the fuel injectors and spark plugs and give it an oil change because some of the misfire fuel can also end up in your motor oil and it will give you some codes at your fuel trim sensor and as well can get ruined to replace that senser is about $300, I spent all of December working on my car and I'm fighting with the gas station hoping that they might help me pay for what I done but they're resisting, we only get gas from that gas station but I remember that day we got gas it had rained a few hours before as soon as we filled up with gas and we left the driveway at started running like it was going to turn off, we barely limped home, good luck I hope you find the problem
Good info, thank you.

I would check for a misfire and then presser test the coolant system and see if the coolant is getting in the cylinder. Most commonly, a head gasket. Could be plugs or clogged EGR port.
Spark plug and ignition coil
I have the same problem in my car. what is the fault?
Misfires could be plugs, coil, EGR, or head gasket.
Miss Fair in cylinder
i got the same sound.
I do following solutions
1. change engine oil.
2. replace aparkplug
3. wash waterbody
It's coolant leaking at the head gasket into the cylinders. Since water doesn't compress it knocks until it's burned away. You will need a head gasket replacement.
Yup, head gasket leak.
nope
Not necessarily if you just replaced the head gasket.
Clean Egr.
It seems like everyone has a completely different theory in these comments. Im guessing misfire tho
You are correct a misfire caused by a bad headgasket.
Aliens. It’s the aliens 👽
You are right.
I got this sound because my spark plugs were damaged
Sound is caused because of a misfire. Bad plugs will do it.
Engine valve blow up
