I just got this in the mail a couple of days ago and so far I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The print small I'm going to have to get me some reading glasses or magnifying glass to read it but it's well worth it
Wow, that's the most difficult question I've had to answer all week lol. I can say that no matter which one you choose you will be very happy with. It is a win/win situation with these two books. remember that this book is only for the new testament whereas the BBC is commentary on the whole Bible. I use both these books on a daily basis in my Bible studies, and would not give either one of them up. I hope that helps though I know it is not a direct answer. I feel I would be doing a great injustice to choose one over the other.

The book does not specify but it appears to me to be mostly dominated by the NIV.
