As far as one-volume Bible commentaries go, probably the Believer's Bible Commentary by Thomas Nelson. I think it's great and the amount of notes in the New Testament makes it even better for me. 👍
Hey Wendy, Its a good commentary. I knew Dr. John Walvoord personally and used to talk to him often regarding the soon coming of Christ and major bible prophecies. Dr. Walvoord was one of the preeminent scholars of the 20th century.
Great review. I have this in my Olive Tree bible software program. I got it on one of their sales based on Faith’s recommendation but I haven’t read much of it just yet. Looks like a good one though.
I didn’t know about the Olive Tree software. Thanks for telling me! I’ve been using Logos for so long I didn’t think to check other options! I use it so much. It really is a good commentary. Thanks for stopping by the channel!
Just came across your channel through my algorithm, so I figured I'd listen in and see how sound your theology/doctrine was/is. I have this set and I think it is useful. I like you...I think I'll stick around. Thank you sister for your review on this set. God bless you
All you have to do bro is read the bible. Then when you want the verse to be interpreted so you can understand it deeper, you read the commentary. Its the same with a study bible. Some times it will make sense and others you will benefit from reading the commentary. Sometimes with a study bible there may be less than sufficient data or explination where as a commentey goes deeper. Various commentaries may have less or more info. They are also just interpretation but theyare valuable forsure. @davidrossman919
I love your videos. Just one suggestion don’t use the closed caption it covers some of the video on the bottom and you can see good when there are things at the bottom that you are showing
On the opposite perspective, I am so grateful for the closed caption! I am frequently watching videos while my husband or kids sleep and it makes it possible for me to understand what you are saying so much better!

I bought these on Faith’s recommendation too, but haven’t gotten into them much yet
They are pretty good but I don’t travel with them. I also use the digital version on Logos.
