This is the first video of yours I've watched, but I'm sure it won't be the last! What a great, quick overview. You've sold me on the African Bible Commentary: it sounds fascinating! I also need to check out your complete Eerdmans commentary review as while I could see it being a bit uneven in the way you describe, it also sounds like it could be a fun way to gain insights into multiple faith traditions' ways of viewing scripture.
The Providence book by Piper is really good when I first started reading it I described it as a more enjoyable systematic theology..... Once you start reading it it's difficult to put down I'm in chapter 5 as we speak... Absolutely loving it 😁❤️

Keener’s 1 Peter commentary comes out next week and the Joshua volume in the evangelical biblical theology commentary came out last week. Not sure if you didn’t mention those because you didn’t know about them or if you only mention books that you receive. As always, thank you for the content! Thanks for the info. I believe my 1 Peter copy is in route from the publisher. I'll definitely show it when I get it. The "new" releases I show are sometimes a month or two old because I don't always get them immediately from publishers. I didn't know about the Joshua volume, so I will look into that one. What do you think of the Adam Clarke abridge full Bible 1 volume commentary , Matthew Henry 1 volume unabridged full commentary, and Barrnes unabridged New Testament 1 volume commentary.
I have the MacArthur Study Bible really like the study notes-comments, ...does the MacArthur Bible Commentary has more study notes than my Study Bible? Im thinking if it has 50% or more comments-study notes could be worth it.... like how much more percentage of notes has the Commentary? do you think is worth getting both ??

I’m looking for non reformed theologian
