Wow! That’s taken some time to shoot! Keep setting the camera up like that for each scene must have been a bit more stressful than actually watching it! Well done mate, great content!
I agree wholeheartedly with you about this hike. I just did it (Feb-24). but started at the start of Daughtys Rd, and returned via Klinsbjorn. 1350m total climbing. You’re spot on the steep climb up and how hard the downhill is. Great vid, love the footage and the comments at the end.
Lovely video and I bet the air was beautiful up there. Spent a lot of time up that way when younger and a lovely part of the world. Great quality as usual and appreciate watching what you post. Thanks Maven
Well done, great to hear you have a chat at the end, definitely agree going down hill is much harder. It's a real talent you have Mark, really enjoy your productions.
I went to Geelong Grammar School and spent the year of 1978 attending 3rd Form at Timbertop .I know all those tracks and ridges very well and I am sure my 14/15 year old memory has them seeming much easier than they would be at age 57. One of the school hikes was from Timbertop (the pointy mountain in the center top of frame at 3:52) over Mt Buller then down and over to Mt Stirling before heading down the other side of Mt Stirling ending up at the Mirimbah Store and down the Buller Road back to school.Epic times for a young boy back in the day. (Just a slight correction for you.The name of the track you eventually went down is the Klingsporn Track with an "l", named after the Klingsporn family, one of the old families who were the first to graze cattle on Mt Buller,Mt Stirling and down to the Delatite River. One of their descendants, Jack Klingsporn in my era, used to allow the school to use part of his property on the Delatite River near the GGS turn off as one of our first term "training camps". Poor bugger had so much patience especially for wayward rascals like myself who chopped down one of his trees only to have to pay the price with manual labour at his gravel pit for three weeks.)
Maven! You cracking cucumber! I was thinking yesterday it’s been to long then stumbled on this vid. Happy new year mate. Excited to hear some bike packing in the works. Hope you are doing well mate. One of my favourite ‘you tubers’ always. Love your content. Beautiful video. Love the mountain shots.
Great video - it would be incredible to see that footage on a big screen at the cinema, High Country tourism board should take note! You really are a talented videographer, thanks for the effort!
Great video mark! Agree on walking downhill being harder than going up. I grabbed some trekking poles about 2 months back and they are a game changer for saving your knees going downhill. never hike without them now and they are just a cheapo pair off Amazon. Cheers
You captured so well the Aussie High Country experience. I feel so blessed to be living in NE Victoria with the High Country on my doorstep. One of my favourites is the hike out to Mt Feathertop along the Razorback, I think you would really enjoy that one. Look forward to your post on the Melbourne to Warny ride :-)
At the start I thought it was just going to be shots of those great calves Mark.. lol Really enjoyed the content and look forward to whatever you get up to next :-)
Nice work Mark. I really enjoyed that video. It brought back some memories of hiking up there over 30 years ago. Looking forward to your Warnie vid. Happy New Year.
Nice Mave, helped me think about chilling in the environment after getting back to city life and work this week 😬 I agree about the downhill being tough on the knees in particular. I did the 6 foot track to the Jenolan Caves with camping gear many years ago and I seriously hurt my knees on the final rocky descent.
Loved the style this video was shot in, very peaceful! Any updated on the the waltly coming up in the future? Still on the fence if I want to purchase a carbon frame or a ti frame from Waltly.
Love the nature vid but I think I’d enjoy first person style videography a bit more. Loved the days you’d take us riding around Melb and talk us through it.
I considered doing some bike packing trips this year and filming in this style. Let me know if you like the format.
Was good mate. Good to see your head!
Sounds good! Just put one good video out once a month or so - whatever doesn't stress you out. Family & job first, vlogs after.
Wow! That’s taken some time to shoot!

Good to see you back Mark. Really enjoyed the style. The music was great too. Not commentary. Just the flow and a sense of the feeling.

Do your own thing man!
I was thinking the same thing, but I doubt that was intentional.
Great video 👍
Great stuff! Wonder if hiking this track in winter is allowed?
Happy new year!
