50+ years ago when I was young this was all we had for edge trimming.
I do know gas powered tools put a load of gunk in the air, but battery powered trimmers work wonders!

If you have the time and energy to use a manual one, they work. They also not only don’t require gas, but no batteries or even an extension cord, which can be nice *if you have the time and energy.* They also cost less
I got one of these and wasn't sure what I was doing wrong that it wasn't working, but I'm trying to use it between pavers where weeds come up, does it just not work on those, if you know? Thanks! :)
