Stardew Valley is not dying because the community really loves the game, and the Dev is very involved with it. Like he even participates in challenges, speeds runs, also plays with mods. Is so nice to see, really.
Star dew valley is so amazing, I got it thinking it would be pretty boring but its so bug-free meaning I don't get a headache from it (unlike the sims), and it just feels so immersive and captivating. the community's awesome as well!
Same way I feel. I'm at a point where I feel like the graphics part of AAA games are actually hindering the actual game play of potentially amazing games.
The last time you did a tier list like this one I bought My time at Portia, I loved it so much that bought My time at Sandrock, and I love them both so much! Not just farming games, I love the storyline and gameplay in both games.
Agree 100%, I played through both and the storyline and the lore of the world are just amazing. I know some people feel it is too grindy but I love that it is not a simple take on another farming sim. I do hope My Time games will get more recognition in the future. @@lilmissmonsterrr
As a female who’s been playing video games since you had to beg quarters from your parents for the PAC Man machine at the pizza parlor, to my OG Atari, OG Nintendo…and I’ve basically stayed with Nintendo to currently being slightly addicted to Animal Crossing on my Switch I got for Christmas last year. I would be considered “older” but I’m not a grandma, just a Gen Xer. Growing up, there were very few games targeted to females that weren’t so stupidly ‘girly’ (Barbie’s Unicorn Dress Up Dream Land) or similar. I loved Mario, Final Fantasy, Sims (since Sims 1)…and I think what I love about cozy games is I can have the game opened up and just let it sit for 15 minutes while I do something else and nothing happens, or I can do something else for 2 minutes, and my little Animal Crossing me is just standing there…maybe I missed a balloon or something. For me, video gaming is for relaxing and not interacting and just doing something cute like growing little vegetables or collecting all the little pieces of furniture or something…not killing the final boss…I loved that (like Zelda and Mario) but now that just feels stressful. So maybe “Cozy Games” are popular as a way for women (and men and any way you define yourself) to just relax and zone out away from the stresses of life.
Stardew Valley is my all tine favorite but ive already 100% that so for now, Coral Island is definitely my number one. It has the perfect balance of everything. Great Visuals (not to childish or cartoony), interesting story, refreshing gameplay (ie cleaning the ocean, catching insects etc.), Cozy world, and Hot- i mean lovable characters, and the UI looks simple and clean. Needless to say i got hooked and havent stop playing this game.
The hybrids are my faves handsdown with Coral Island and My Time at Sandrock making me fall in love with the genre again. I would def recommend Sun Haven if you haven't tried it!
I agree with your ranking of Sims4, especially after almost 9 years of updates to improve the game. Now the base game is comfortably at the bottom of A-tier. The problem a lot of the community has is that the previous editions were top of S-tier games and the Sims4 upon release back in 2014 belonged in the bottom of C-tier or even in D-tier. It still is heavily played because it was still one of the best life-sims around and has slowly built itself up to low A-tier but how it was when it was released and the memories of how much better the earlier games were have affected the community. The good news is that all of the whining has slowly built a better game as EA has actually responded to criticism by improving the base game.
I would like to say that Roots of Pacha deserves to be here and so does Sun Haven. Both released this year, roots of Pacha just came out on the other consoles and Sun haven is aiming to release for other consoles next year but they already had like 3? 4 updates to the full release and they’re giving to us great
I need more people to be getting Hype about Coral Island! It has such a good vibe and its stunning! The characters are all so unique and interesting! Its also got such an important message about how we need to look after the ocean and the planet!
i love the style of the game, but i think what they did with the 1.0 release was pretty scummy. there's still lots of content missing that was supposed to be in the official release... so, i think a lot of us are waiting.
It’s literally a barren sandbox currently. I knew it was in a prerelease state when I got it but I didn’t think it would literally be a shell of an unfinished product. They made it sound a lot further along than it actually is.
I wish I would experience what u all are talking about but I got stuck on a loading screen right after customization and idk what to do😢 it just keeps loading.... the game never starts. Help please.. I really wanna play.
Would love to see you review Wylde Flowers! I thought this ranking was fair. Palia is my cozy game of choice right now but I cycle through SDV and Sims. Got my eye on Coral Island so really glad you said it's good!
I love how honest you are especially with the Disney Dreamlight Valley mictrostransactions which I, having seen tons of videos like this from other creators, have only heard nothing but positive reviews from them which I felt were to good to be true. I knew there was a catch, that's why I haven't bought the game yet. Surprisingly, your tier list is the only one I approve of tbh
So it’s to bad for you, it’s such a great game if you like Disney and cozy games. They are so many things to do. People don't realize that they're always asking for more, but that developers don't work for free. For me, they made the right choice with these micro-transactions. At least the game and the community live on, unlike Animal Crossing.
@@Quentin-tc3gc I agree with what you're saying and I have nothing against microtransactions but I just think this info is missed out on alot of other videos.
I do have qualms with Palia, but the fact that it's not fully reliant on its mmo aspects is not one of them. Sometimes I just want to be introverted. I love that you can go through the game without having to talk or play with anyone. I love that it's being updated so regularly but I really think it's time for a new map or something. The scenery is getting repetitive even though I have a LOT of quests to do.
I do really enjoy Coral Island. It’s so similar to Stardew Valley, but I feel like it improves on a lot of similar concepts + I love the animation style. I’ve run into a couple of bugs though (like decor mode just doesn’t work?), and the game has crashed twice for me. But otherwise it’s amazing and I hope they patch the bugs soon! (Also, you’re 100% the reason I know about it and downloaded it lol)
My issue with Coral Island is that to me, it is very much a replica of Stardew Valley. And I know SV is itself based on early Harvest Moon games, especially FOMT, Harvest Moon DS and the original SNES game. but that game is identical to Stardew Valley in pretty much every aspect (the map, the Junimos, community center vs Joja/Pufferfish, crafting system, the characters, the mines). They added diving, which I found pretty boring and repetitive (it's just mining with a scythe pretty much). Don't get me wrong, it's good and I've been hooked for the past weeks playing it. it's Stardew Valley 3D, but I wish they had tried to go out of the box a little bit more. Not really cozy game of the year material for me
5:37 I want the game to be 100% functional, first and foremost. All aspects of base game should have been 100% functional before moving forward with any packs. Period. From everything I've heard, Base Game was buggy as hell and now we're 13 years later and this $h!t still isn't completely fixed, but EA keeps churning out half @$$ed EPs. I wouldn't put S4 higher than C Tier.
I agree. I bought Sims 4 a year after release, played it daily for hours on end. I haven't touched the game in about 3 years because of the bugs and having to delete my saves twice due to corrupted files. I love the Sims 4 but I just can't play it anymore. 😞
@@heatherf91 Mods, man. Don't buy any packs, at all. The stuff packs are just for builders, but I don't use any and I have great builds. The Game Packs are dead because EA is putting all content out as EPs now. So, mods. There's a ton of mods that give new items and make more base game items functional. I purely use modes and the only EP I have is Cottage Living because I thought it would fix the still bugged gardening mechanics.... It didn't.
@@JubeiKibagamiFez Agreed! I was big into mods for a while. There's so many options out there that are way better than the EA packs. My last pack purchase was Eco Lifestyle. I then decided to play vanilla and shortly after that my first save corrupted. An EA rep tried to walk me through fixing it but ultimately in the end told me that I had to delete my save since nothing was working. So, I did, and it worked fine for about a year. Then I upgraded my PC and a few weeks later my second save corrupted. Talked to a rep again, tried all the same suggestions, but in the end had to delete. I played for a little while longer with my third save but the bugs were such an inconvenience at that point I just called it quits. I miss playing and have thought about getting back into it but another PC build is in the works so I'm trying to wait until it's finished.
@@JubeiKibagamiFez I thought it was the mods at first which was the reason I resorted to playing without CC when I restarted. But then it happened again with no mods so I'm unsure what was causing it. I played it through Origin (now EA).
I've been playing Palia non-stop since closed beta, love it to bits. I hope the devs will get us more regions next year. Patches were very good so far.
I love Coral Island! I play it since we could buy it in early access but... the update 1.0 does not feel like 1.0, here is why: Last festival, the Winter one i forgot the name is not done, I couldn't talk to anyone, there wasn't any intro that other festivals had and there is no "big event" to end the whole thing, you can still play the games but that is it Bugs, bugs and again bugs and not those that you will catch. Sometimes I need to restart the game to fix certain things, fortunately those bugs are not preventing me from playing but are annoying, sometimes I will get stuck, I married Theo and sometimes his character is laying on the floor, pets are just there, my dog is just inside all the time even tho I bought him the petbed for the outside, having a child doeas not feel like this big event of your life but for that i will wait and maybe it's just something that they want to develop more (i know that they planning a lot of fun things) When I got engaged some townies (2) congratulated me and I was so excited that they implemented that, but then no one else say anything about it or wedding and I think its something that they will fix because something just did not stick and characters just don't have the dialog for that. Overall I still love this game to bits and I'm looking forward to next update and maybe i will start new save just to date someone new (It's impossible to choose one townie especially when you are bi 👀)
Ever since I dropped the sims, I never realized how many better chill games there are. Some with even less gameplay, but are way more fleshed out and replayable/don’t need to reset debug every 3 seconds. The big thing is farming sims are DONE they are BORING; Mary Magdalene has seen less hoes. The big one Observation Duty. It claims to be “horror” but it’s horror the same way Scary Movie is. It’s ridiculously calming to flip through camera feeds. American Truck Simulator is literally driving a semi truck lawfully gas prices, tickets, and life ending bank loans all included. If you prefer your favorite with an U, sorry don’t make the grammar rules, there’s Euro Truck Simulator. Loddlenaut is like eco friendly tamagotchis.
I’m so glad I found your channel!! Your reviews are so honest and thorough. I will say, as an avid and crazily obsessed Dreamlight Valley player… I agree and disagree with parts of your review on DDV. I agree that I think there’s more transactions than needed in the game. I think they should’ve made it free to play since that was the original plan. I understand why they made the expansion Rift in Time a paid thing, cause then it’s like if you’re really interested in the game you can access more by paying for it. But I don’t think you should have to pay for both base and expansion, or it does get the feel of Sims expansions where it’s getting more of a cash grab when they could’ve just added more to the base game. With all that said, I think saying it’s like a mobile game is harsh. I don’t feel like it’s a mobile game, I think they do have a lot of good quests and they’ve added Dream Snaps which is a weekly decorating “contest” to earn in game currency. So you don’t have to buy things with real money, except the base game or expansion. But I see what you mean that it relies too much on the Disney aspect. Anyway, new subscriber here! I might have to check out Coral Island down the road, but I want to finish Fae Farm first.
I agree that he judged dreamlight valley to harshly and called it "mobile game" its far from that, and dreamlight valley allows you to earn currency to use in the shop. they come out with updated every other month(free updates) he puts the sims in S tier but they are the most expensive game out of this list.
The thing that i love abt stardew is that the community is really nice and its just a fun game. i have played it for about 100 hours, and havn't encounterd any bugs or stuf.
can we really even call SIMS4 a "chill game" when all it does is constantly frustrate you with it's massive catalog of glitches and unfunctional gameplay aspects? 🤣
I literally only play sims which is how i discovered you queen! (Sims 4 kind of like a great looking meal but tastes bland) anyway every time I log on I get the severe ick thinking about all the integrity it’s lost.(legit did they fire everyone who did sims 1-3??) Also you’re so fab sorry the sims trolls are so tragic xxx
It's true, I play and am obsessed with Dreamlight Valley just because it's Disney. I mean, I love this kind of game and the fact that it's Disney is what keeps me coming back and playing xD I've known it for a while and I admit it.
I disagree on disney dreamlight cuz i personally was super into it for more than 60h straight and i don't like disney character that much. Don't really care about them.
I was initially iffy about Sandrock because I loved Portia so much that I thought playing Sandrock would just make me want to back to Portia again, but I'm thrilled to report that Sandrock has fully won me over. I don't know if I've ever enjoyed a game as much. It's the perfect balance between self paced and story based, it has a ton of content, the world and lore is really fascinating and detailed, and the characters are so fun.
I just wish we could go back to buying a finished game and not having to pay for anything else, but that also means you have to live with the way it is, it’s never getting better. Not sure what’s worse really.
I liked your list. I didn’t know about Coral Island or My Time at Sandrock. Have you played any of the Rune Factory franchise? It’s one I’ve been playing for years but feel like has a niche following.
Putting Dreamlight Valley that low is wild to me. Their are so many amazing things to do in the game. Also…if you do your dream snaps every single week then it’s very easy to win moonstones and never have to buy any moonstones. Since they implemented it..I have never had to buy them. The game is full of adventure and so much fun. Also…DLC is completely normal. Most games have them…and Disney Dreamlight Valley Said their would be dlc since the beginning of the game. If they made the game free to play then I guarantee their would be a microtransaction for everything in the game. Every single character, item etc. we get free characters and items in the game constantly as well. They have already announced at least 5 more just in the beginning of next year alone. The dlc is HUGE. It has over a years worth of play and 2 more acts to come next year (which are included in purchase). If you want more content then it makes sense for it to be a dlc. It takes money to make a video game. 😩
I don't know if you've played Disney Dreamlight Valley in a while, but it really isn't that cash grabby anymore. Moonstones, the in-store currency are so easy to get now that they decided to leave the F2P model. I can easily buy all the things in the store and not spend any real money. You still can spend real money if you didn't want to do the in-game activities to earn moonstones. Now that they have left the F2P model the game feels more like Animal Crossing to me. You buy the main game and the optional DLC's and that's really all you need to spend money on. If they did one DLC a year at 30 dollars it is still cheaper than buying moonstones for all the things in the store which was where the true cash grab was. Also, to answer your question. If it wasn't a Disney game, I doubt I would be playing it. I do think they have actually done a good job capturing the nostalgia one would feel by playing with Disney characters. I love just running around my valley and seeing them and hearing their voice dialogue. It can brighten my day faster than any medication ever could. I also think that the quests in the past few updates have not been so tedious. The friendship quest rewards are more significant than they were with the original valley characters. I for one love the game and as long as I don't have to drop more than 30 or so dollars a year as I would on any cozy game and DLC releases, I'm more than happy to continue playing it and spend money on it.
I think that you could actually analyze Slime Rancher 1 and 2 as cosy games as well, they're kind of a 3d stardew valley of slimes and completely different aspects than we're used to
Only cozy games I have ever played were animal crossing New horizon, Sims 4/Sims 3, sky City skyline, and that Jurassic Park game. Would love to get into more cozy games in... I'm 30btw 😂
I think DDV is amazing and the choice to go pay instead of free is a good idea. The whole shop thing with moonstones was implmented when it was meant to become free to play, so they had to keep it, but it sounds like since you've played, you haven't tried some of the new features. The Dream Snaps challenge weekly has made it so that shop and moonstones aren't cash grabby anymore.. You can EASILY make the moonstones every week to buy those things without cash now. Their new DLC actually looks REALLY full and involved (The Sims could NEVER lol) and there is a bunch of free update content coming too (including much desired Jack Skellington). The only thing I agree with is that I probably WOULD like it less if it wasn't Disney, but I mean, that IS it's gimmick, it is why you play it, so I don't mind. :)
Corral Island is by the same developer as Stardew Valley?... I would say Stardew gets top of S Tier, but Coreal Island had that same great feel to it like Stardew, so both are tied for #1.
Deserts are beautiful! Wasn't interested in mtap but sandrock made me wanna get it just for the setting Shout out to desert/badlands/savanna biomes in minecraft
Hey as someone who is 36 cozy games are where it is at for us. It allows us to work, care for family and not worry about loosing progress. I've been playing sims since 2002.... ya. And now have been obsessed with DDLV. (still playing sims 4 in waves; sims 2 is still hands down my favorite). To touch on the DDLV feeling like a mobile game. It reminds me of Disney Kingdoms but 2.0. I have been saying this since it launched. And thank you for making these types of videos, I plan on checking out cities skylines!
Thank you for being honest about dreamlight valley!! Everyone keeps excusing their behavior and fighting with anyone who thinks the monetization is awful
I’m SO happy cozy games are more of a thing now. I’ve always been a stress head, I remember even playing sonic or Mario on my DS as a kid was too much stress for me 😅 so animal crossing and nintendogs were about all I played 😂 Animal crossing will always be top tier for me, the sheer amount of hours I get out of it makes it well worth the money. But I do wish they’d continue updates and DLC until a new game is announced, it has the ability to be played for years . Stardew Valley is amazing, for how old it is, it shouldn’t still be relevant but it just hasn’t been beaten imo by another farming simulation. I need to give skylines and Portia another shot by the sounds of it. I have them both an hour of time but just didn’t vibe (could be because I played on switch rather than pc?). I’m currently on the Dreamlight valley train and as a Disney fan, I’m enjoying it. However, I do agree that it does feel very mobile game, and without Disney it wouldn’t be successful. Also since they scrapped FTP, I think it’s awful they’re still charging for in game moonstones when we’re all now paying for the base and DLC. PC wise I’m obsessed with planet zoo, Jurassic world evolution and two point hospital. They’re the best ❤
Wylde Flowers is sweet, love the voice acting. NPCs have great stories lines, but unfortunately I think it is a x play through. Palia disappointed me, I'm waiting till they finish it. Nailed Coral Island!
Satch I dare you to play the OG sim farming game, SimFarm 😂. It's honestly soo chaotic and crazy, so many natural disasters happen all the time, it is not cozy at all lols. Also I would loove to see you play Final Fantasy XIV 💛💛
@@voxnihili4960 I'm a cosy gamer I'm so bad at shooting but getting better! I was like OMG I can build settlements so cute 👉🏼👈🏼 lmfao 🤣 but the storyline and lore is amaaaaaaazing
Faefarm if you bought the switch version and deluxe version, you do get the 2 dlcs with no extra cost. One came out December 14 and the other set to release in the spring.
I tried coral island but damn the game heavy af I thought i can played it easily since i can play the sims4 in ultra but coral island laggy af 😂 Shame i really want to play it since i got hooked after seeing your playthrough
I really like ddv. Of course it being disney makes it more interesting, since I already know the characters' stories and am more interested in playing with them than I would be with random characters. But I do think that the disney image is just the key to opening the door because after you go into it, the gameplay is adictive and fun. I avoid playing it because everytime I start I spend hours and hours playing and can’t bring myself to stop.
Knowing how we are about the sims four I thought you Put sims four in the freaking d or f tier😅 Genuinely I would put in maybe high b or maybe low AI personally enjoy it. I played on PS4 but I see where we all are about sims 4 about. It's shallow and it's lack in gameplay But that's how it is unfortunately sims 4 four developers are ambitionless 😢😢
Modded Stardew is amazing. Just adding a few QOL mods makes it so amazing. And the fact that you can change the game so drastically and make it a new game with mods over and over.
Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland will always be my fave HM/SoS game. None of the sequels have compared to it yet for me. I know exactly what you mean about getting the nugs without the sauce. Sims 4 is definitely missing the sauce for me, although your video about clubs has inspired me to try again. And thank you for defending linear games and RPGs. :)
I’m not agree about Disney Dreamlight Valley. The graphics are beautiful and detailed, there's so much to do and the developers listen to their community. About money, I think it's only fair that they should charge for content. They won't work for free, if you want more and more and MORE, you just have to accept this way of playing.
I couldn't get into Stardew Valley or Coral Island. I stopped playing Sims 4 because there's too many bugs and I had to delete my saves twice due to corrupted files. I use to play Sims 4 daily for hours but haven't touched it in about 3 years now. I still play ACNH and Dreamlight Valley, and have added Everdream Valley to my list. It's such a cute game.
sims 4 is NOT cosy it is stressful af 😂😂 90% of gameplay is fixing the game I'm kidding I do enjoy playing the sims... when it works I adore animal crossing but hate the clunkiness and slowness of buildmode or trying to arrange your island, I think if they unlocked more freedom for the player like in Sims for at least world building it would be perfect
So disappointed about Faefarm. Was really looking forward to a magical, fairy cosy game but I find it so boring and not magical enough :( Also I'm one of the few people who still enjoy new horizons, recently got the DLC and been loving it!
Should try Saleblazers. Also early access but I've really been enjoying it. Especially with friends ❤ Sandrock is so much fun! Coral Island, too, tho im pretty much waiting on that before i start again! Sims4 is one of those i get hankerings for and then stop for like a year before craving it again 😂
You keep using the phrase "Stardew valley dupe" but I honestly don't even think it's a bad thing. I don't care if the game is original, I only care about whether it's good or bad. I like the concept of Stardew but I don't like the pixelated retro look, so when I hear "Stardew valley dupe" and I see a game that is pleasant to look at, its a positive for me (bonus points when its Indy developed and isn't that expansive) You definitly don't need 20 Stardew valley 'dupes' if you already have Stardew or some other similar game, but i don't have one
Here's my opinion: I'd say you were on about a lot but some things are way off for me. 1. Coral island is great but it's still so buggy and not complete. So for me A 2. Both cities games don't have as much appeal imo so b 3. Animal crossing is one of the main reasons there is a bunch of new investment in cozy games so it's def bottom of S tier. 4. Holy crap thank you for your take on DDLV it's mid. I really wanted to love it but all of your points were spot on. Other than that it's pretty on point.
Palia is not an MMO - I said what I said. FFXIV has everything that Palia has as optional side content, and Palia hasn’t flushed out that gathering/crafting grind as main story. Also, Palia is no longer EA as of the Switch release :)
I really wanted to like Coral island, but in it's current state it is unplayable for me, I played on X-box. The game keeps crashing all the time and since you can't save until going to bed like in Stardew valley I kept loosing progress until I finally gave up on it. If they fix it I might give it another go, I do like the look of it, it's just buggy.
Most of your rankings seem good but Coral Island...I tried but I just couldn't get into it with the controls on console (did not play on PC..). It looks great but awful controls made me stop after only an hour or so of play. Now Fae Farm I enjoyed but it isn't something to go back to once you got your fill and finished the dungeons.
When I play stardew valley I can’t stop, it’s like oh I’ll stop next day, oh wait I need to complete something tomorrow I’ll do another day, and before you know it you’ve played 7 hours in 24 hours
DD valley is so dependant for dreamsnap for moostones piscou boutique prenium boutique star path quests I am not fan because I don't feel free. ACNH stardew valley remains a safe bet that lasts over time, it's infinite so many possibilities. Fae farm is so excited for me but the regret of too short days doesn't suit me. palia is too much grind and they've lowered the drop rate. it's already hard to get flow tree if you spend hours lurking. the storage system is poorly designed. it doesn't work on another plot. for now, we'll have to see what the future holds for this game.
I got bored of Stardew Valley after a good few weeks - maybe a month, uninstalled it recently. It gets hella repetitive and mods can only do so much on mobile bc of update/compatibility issues.
Dream valley is very boring and empty, feels lifeless and nothing to do.I was very disappointed. Coral island is the best farming i have ever played, hot men, many things to do, mermaids...is incredible
Sadly I tried playing coral island and it didn't work for me. I was stuck on a loading screen after customization.😢 I was really looking forward to playing this game.
What makes ddv a good game is the fact that they actually tried to have a story, very lucky we aren’t encouraged to gamble but yes the micro transactions are excessive, the bugs are the worst I’ve seen, I’ve never had a game crash as much as this one, it can get too boring if you have less to do, or if you have everyone at a 10 unless if you have to do a star path. I think if there was extensions to the old lord or if they did more to restore the dark castle and possibly more carractors and less collecting heavy that would be great. If they also had the ability to fav recipes or fav the crafts I think it would do a lot better at being less tedious and more productive in what you’re doing. Maybe if they had more spontaneous quest lines and made multiplayer easier that might be something to consider adding, but that’s just a thought.
I got coral island for free and before, i just thought coral island is just another stardew copy, and after playing it, i can say that it kinda is, and since stardew is the best farming simulator game ever, that's what makes it good and they just had to put a little spin on it and they spinned it at the right direction
I've only tried a few cozy games (none on the list other than TS4). OG Simmers are all critical of TS4. The building is gorgeous but the gameplay is pretty shallow. The fact that my legacy families can become multimillionaires in the first generation should show you how easy the game is (even base game only). On the plus side, it is so easy that I find myself starting the Makin' Money scenario over and over for the extra points.
Stardew Valley is not dying because the community really loves the game, and the Dev is very involved with it. Like he even participates in challenges, speeds runs, also plays with mods. Is so nice to see, really.
I tried it just once but the community draws me in!
“It’s just a package that will leave you wanting more”
I think ea knows this and that's why they keep giving us DLC and we buy them because we are trying to fill that hole
@@Kyarareads you don't get the comment do you 😂

Great Visuals (not to childish or cartoony), interesting story, refreshing gameplay (ie cleaning the ocean, catching insects etc.), Cozy world, and Hot- i mean lovable characters, and the UI looks simple and clean. Needless to say i got hooked and havent stop playing this game.
Same. Like SV and CI are legit the best too. Massive amount of things to do. I’m so glad Coral Island feels different than SD
Coral Island is very Disney-ish though...
i cant get past how it looks like a cheap mobile game
4 updates to the full release and they’re giving to us great
For me the peak of cozy games was the 2000s when cozy MMOs like club penguin and toontown were popular.
VMK 💕
Nah that was just the beginning
Club penguin? Is this some kind of joke? 😆
I need more people to be getting Hype about Coral Island! It has such a good vibe and its stunning! The characters are all so unique and interesting! Its also got such an important message about how we need to look after the ocean and the planet!
This! Why isn’t it getting more love by cozy game RUclipsrs?
i love the style of the game, but i think what they did with the 1.0 release was pretty scummy. there's still lots of content missing that was supposed to be in the official release... so, i think a lot of us are waiting.
It’s literally a barren sandbox currently. I knew it was in a prerelease state when I got it but I didn’t think it would literally be a shell of an unfinished product. They made it sound a lot further along than it actually is.
To me the characters look like bitmojis and the game is not very charming :/
I wish I would experience what u all are talking about but I got stuck on a loading screen right after customization and idk what to do😢 it just keeps loading.... the game never starts. Help please.. I really wanna play.
Would love to see you review Wylde Flowers!
I thought this ranking was fair. Palia is my cozy game of choice right now but I cycle through SDV and Sims. Got my eye on Coral Island so really glad you said it's good!
Wylde Flowers is such an underrated game. It deserves more attention.
Do you do your dreamsnaps in the game?
Funnily enough everything you said to describe Disney's video game could also be applied to most movies they've released lately. 😅
Love to see where you’d place Wylde Flowers if it was on the list! ❤
@@heatherf91 Did the mods corrupt your saves or the EA packs??
@@JubeiKibagamiFez I thought it was the mods at first which was the reason I resorted to playing without CC when I restarted. But then it happened again with no mods so I'm unsure what was causing it. I played it through Origin (now EA).
I've been playing Palia non-stop since closed beta, love it to bits. I hope the devs will get us more regions next year. Patches were very good so far.
Same
I love Coral Island! I play it since we could buy it in early access but... the update 1.0 does not feel like 1.0, here is why:
Last festival, the Winter one i forgot the name is not done, I couldn't talk to anyone, there wasn't any intro that other festivals had and there is no "big event" to end the whole thing, you can still play the games but that is it
Bugs, bugs and again bugs and not those that you will catch. Sometimes I need to restart the game to fix certain things, fortunately those bugs are not preventing me from playing but are annoying, sometimes I will get stuck, I married Theo and sometimes his character is laying on the floor, pets are just there, my dog is just inside all the time even tho I bought him the petbed for the outside, having a child doeas not feel like this big event of your life but for that i will wait and maybe it's just something that they want to develop more (i know that they planning a lot of fun things)
When I got engaged some townies (2) congratulated me and I was so excited that they implemented that, but then no one else say anything about it or wedding and I think its something that they will fix because something just did not stick and characters just don't have the dialog for that.
Overall I still love this game to bits and I'm looking forward to next update and maybe i will start new save just to date someone new (It's impossible to choose one townie especially when you are bi 👀)
With 1.1 maybe it’ll be “1.0” finally? I want to play it so bad but also want the complete experience lol
@@derrviel Same here!
I quit Palia to play Coral Island. I can actually customize my character without having to pay for it (new clothes). I enjoy it way better.
You should put more cozy games in tier list more.
Please Satch play Planet Zoo!! It's so good and if you enjoy city skylines you'll probably enjoy it.
And you can actually enjoy it for a long time with just the basegame 😄
I literally only play sims which is how i discovered you queen! (Sims 4 kind of like a great looking meal but tastes bland) anyway every time I log on I get the severe ick thinking about all the integrity it’s lost.(legit did they fire everyone who did sims 1-3??) Also you’re so fab sorry the sims trolls are so tragic xxx
It's true, I play and am obsessed with Dreamlight Valley just because it's Disney. I mean, I love this kind of game and the fact that it's Disney is what keeps me coming back and playing xD
I've known it for a while and I admit it.
My favorite game is sims4 and dreamlight valley is my second favorite, my daughter doesn't like playing dreamlight valley that much, but i love it
As a long term animal crossing fan, new horizons is like sims 4, beautiful but shallow (i play both those games im just saying)
I think yours and everyone else's opinions are valid. Im justglad you also think stardew is S tier 😂❤😊
Low-key killed me he kept using SoS:A Wonderful Life footage when talking about the downsides to SoS:Friends of Mineral Town. AWL is soooo much better
I think that you could actually analyze Slime Rancher 1 and 2 as cosy games as well, they're kind of a 3d stardew valley of slimes and completely different aspects than we're used to
They made Sims 4 free... they need to reimburse thise of us who paid full price for Base Game...
Or give us a free pack bundle Idk
Actually Cities Skylines 2 has less players on Steam than Part 1. Part 2 is crap. Maybe worth a look again in 2-3 years or so.
Only cozy games I have ever played were animal crossing New horizon, Sims 4/Sims 3, sky City skyline, and that Jurassic Park game. Would love to get into more cozy games in... I'm 30btw 😂
GET STARDEW VALLEY !!! its a little confusing at first but gen the best game ever
Oh, do you know about Planet Zoo? I find it very relaxing
Why don't you cover one of the games you like better than sims? I'm sure your fans will support you :)
I totally agree with you
Corral Island is by the same developer as Stardew Valley?... I would say Stardew gets top of S Tier, but Coreal Island had that same great feel to it like Stardew, so both are tied for #1.
"disney dreamlight valley is just a glorified mobile game" yes so right . also waiting for the new update
Deserts are beautiful! Wasn't interested in mtap but sandrock made me wanna get it just for the setting
Shout out to desert/badlands/savanna biomes in minecraft
It is definitely worth getting. Just a warning it is not just a pretty deserty vibe, you also get all the disadvantages of the desert as well.
Coral Island is legit my new fav game. Love it!
Thank you for being honest about dreamlight valley!! Everyone keeps excusing their behavior and fighting with anyone who thinks the monetization is awful
New satch upload🎉
I’m SO happy cozy games are more of a thing now. I’ve always been a stress head, I remember even playing sonic or Mario on my DS as a kid was too much stress for me 😅 so animal crossing and nintendogs were about all I played 😂
Animal crossing will always be top tier for me, the sheer amount of hours I get out of it makes it well worth the money.
I love how easy it is to incorporate mods into Cities Skylines, compared to the sims. It's straight away from Steam workshop.
I've just got into fallout 4, I am an absolute WHIMP. So I watched a play through 😂
Epic game! Enjoy! Some unsolicited advice: Find a Power Armor and use it ALWAYS. 😉
I tried coral island but damn the game heavy af
I thought i can played it easily since i can play the sims4 in ultra but coral island laggy af 😂
Shame i really want to play it since i got hooked after seeing your playthrough
Yeah I had fun with Animal Crossing every single day back in 2020, but now I don’t play it at all cause it gets boring straight away 😢
Knowing how we are about the sims four I thought you Put sims four in the freaking d or f tier😅
Genuinely I would put in maybe high b or maybe low AI personally enjoy it. I played on PS4 but I see where we all are about sims 4 about. It's shallow and it's lack in gameplay But that's how it is unfortunately sims 4 four developers are ambitionless 😢😢
You should play Moonstone Island if you haven’t yet! I’ve been absolutely obsessed.
It’s kind of like a Stardew valley dupe mixed with pokemon dupe
Animal crossing still has a massive online base! I play it daily and I love it!
Modded Stardew is amazing. Just adding a few QOL mods makes it so amazing. And the fact that you can change the game so drastically and make it a new game with mods over and over.
I WAS JUST WATCHING YOUR SIMS 3 SERIES! IT'S MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE!!!
It's such a cute game.
sims 4 is NOT cosy it is stressful af 😂😂 90% of gameplay is fixing the game
I'm kidding I do enjoy playing the sims... when it works
I adore animal crossing but hate the clunkiness and slowness of buildmode or trying to arrange your island, I think if they unlocked more freedom for the player like in Sims for at least world building it would be perfect
So disappointed about Faefarm. Was really looking forward to a magical, fairy cosy game but I find it so boring and not magical enough :(
Also I'm one of the few people who still enjoy new horizons, recently got the DLC and been loving it!
Should try Saleblazers. Also early access but I've really been enjoying it. Especially with friends ❤
Sandrock is so much fun!
I like the concept of Stardew but I don't like the pixelated retro look, so when I hear "Stardew valley dupe" and I see a game that is pleasant to look at, its a positive for me (bonus points when its Indy developed and isn't that expansive)
You definitly don't need 20 Stardew valley 'dupes' if you already have Stardew or some other similar game, but i don't have one
Here's my opinion:
I'd say you were on about a lot but some things are way off for me.
1. Coral island is great but it's still so buggy and not complete. So for me A
2. Both cities games don't have as much appeal imo so b
When I play stardew valley I can’t stop, it’s like oh I’ll stop next day, oh wait I need to complete something
tomorrow I’ll do another day, and before you know it you’ve played 7 hours in 24 hours
I have Stardew Valley on my switch, on Xbox, PC and mobile 😭😭 i love this game so much, i created different farms 😍☠️
I love all your videos! Please make more ranking cozy games :DD
"Sexsual frustration"?! Dude, what is wrong with you?! Children are watching you!
Dream valley is very boring and empty, feels lifeless and nothing to do.I was very disappointed.
Coral island is the best farming i have ever played, hot men, many things to do, mermaids...is incredible
You forgot Sun Haven.
It's Stardew Valley but with quests and better graphics 😅
Sadly I tried playing coral island and it didn't work for me. I was stuck on a loading screen after customization.😢 I was really looking forward to playing this game.
Yo I'm old but the "OG farming simulation" was Harvest Moon on the SNES :D
I love Cities Skylines! Especially on VR! So good. I can spend an entire day playing without even noticing how long it’s been
I'm surprised Sims 4 got A tier.... SatchonSims, you gave it too much grace XD
Lol i have been playing harvest moon for decades and when people describe games as "its like stardew Valley" im like no its like harvest moon 🤣
What about moonstone? 😢
Also yeah, I'm very sad when I forget the buffalo sauce 😢
I got coral island for free and before, i just thought coral island is just another stardew copy, and after playing it, i can say that it kinda is, and since stardew is the best farming simulator game ever, that's what makes it good and they just had to put a little spin on it and they spinned it at the right direction
Cities Skyline better than Animal Crossing😂😂😂😂lost all credibility right there
I've only tried a few cozy games (none on the list other than TS4).
Both Sandrock and Coral island are S tier for me
Calling someone a extreme right conservative was supposed to be some kind of offense?
