    An ending where you stay on the world and build your own faction would be cool. It could be diplomatic or just a massive takeover.

      Well there is a mod for something like that you are the law on the planet but in reality it's like the raids for the ship but it's 30 days instead.

      Ah, that's the point where I copy characters and import them into a new scenario with some shuttle wreckage. Afterall, there is no salvation on the Rim. 'Larry' threw a fit when he realised there was no table on the escape shuttle and decided to smash in the console with his peg leg.

    It would be cool to actually play politics in rimworld and have a planetary unifier ending. Make it so the only settlements you have are owned by you or your constituents.

      I feel as if it should be basic politics for more primitive people though. Something almost like the grounders in The 100. Then for those who are more technologically advanced it should be more difficult.

      Maybe have the option to annex the planet for the Empire, or alternatively getting all of the big factions under one group, to keep Independence from every other planet and pushing out the Empire and maybe even culling all of the pirates and other undesirables

    What I love about the Planet Killer ending is how it describes in glorious detail just how utterly the planet gets destroyed, only to then point out in the driest way possible that yes, you did not survive that.

    Deserter ending suggestion:
    destroy the Empire, take one of their ships...either stay forever or leave like the Stellarch ending you mentioned, but as a rebel/renegade.
    because the Deserter option is just so unappetizing in general, upsetting a strong faction is..odd.

      I know, I can get why some people would go to the raider route for the empire, but for me the deserter quest is telling me pretty much the following:
      Hello! You want to be friends with the people who have access to laser weapons and have the ability to use our benefits like one of our own, or do you want to have a gang of power armored soilders invade you thrice a month?

      deserter route best route. no diplomacy hurts a bit thanks to no traders but global domination of slowly turning lively cities into deserted bases, where all citizens once living there were turned into kibble for the horses, is great

    An ending I would make is to make the rim a 'mostly' peaceful place, by kill every hostile faction and befriending everyone else. This is usually when players end their game anyway, so why not make it more viable?

    An ending involving reuniting a family would be awesome imo. And to help with that, I feel like you should be able to contact loved ones that are in other factions. Eventually convincing them to join you or something.

    My cousin and I have tinkered with an anti-empire playthrough. Pretty fun, the goal
    Being to completely destroy the empire on a planet. I.e go base to base and destroy them all

    I once had an ending that I got 17 seat ship ready to depart while 10 temporary refugees arrived (i accepted so they could help the final raids). It was a success, all 17 pawns escaped and I kept playing with the refugees until the quest expires just to see what happened. Three of them wanted to join the pawnless colony to perish a few days later on raid way bigger than 3 pawns could handle.

    I keep playing. I have a game going with 3 Man In Blacks!
    Everyone has been downed on three different times (Two were thrumbo related), and a man in black has saved my pawns (including the old man in black).
    1 of the MIBs was an amazing pawn, best I've seen, and the other two aren't bad either.
    All of my original colonists ended up dead, so I currently have 3 Men In Black plus a Wild Man. It's an interesting playthrough.

    The mod "genetic of the rim" if i remember correctly added the ending of making the ultimate creation and dominate the planet.... Since is an addition of the dlc could be an addition

    I would enjoy seeing an ending where you essentially create a zoo or collection of items for a wealthy or influential individual in exchange for psycasts and powerful medical items which would be the main reason to pursue the ending. Such as that one item which can bring people back from the dead, or heal any wound/ailment.

    An ending I would love is what I call "Sparkle Seed". Basically you have to build a city that is impressive enough to be the start of a new gliitterworld. You then have destroy all hostile factions with x hexes. And finally, you must declare you status as hedgemon of the planet by launching an orbital defense system and surviving the resulting raids without a single citizen getting injured. Having proved yourself bring unconcerned hegemony, the credits roll as we some out and see your settlement spread across the planet.

    Endings? I'm over 3,000 hours in and only completed 1 ending just to see what it was like. To this day I still wonder, why would anyone want to end a colony? This game has literally endless potential.

    I also found the Archonexus ending a little disappointing. Specifically the very last part. The previous iterations have you starting over and rebuilding which is good for extending the gameplay. Any pawns I left behind would often reappear thanks to things like the Hospitality mod (even the ones that shouldn't like mindless droids, lol). And it was fun to start over with heavily skilled and geared up colonists with archo tech parts.
    Spoilers! if you expand.
    You were warned.
    But then when you make the run to the last nexus and beat the mechs... it all just dosen't matter. You can literally take all your pawns with you, use the ones you don't like as cannon fodder, and activate it. Then boom you're done. With enough mods, the mech at the end aren't even that much of a challenge. Mine just had lancers and pikemen, and some of the smaller modded mechs like Sentinels. Ending sequence music, start a new game.

    Save our ship 2 mod replaces the ship ending with a different archotech ending, where you build your own archotech and turn the rimworld into a glitterworld, it even has choices regarding what to do with other factions and whether you colonist are elevated with the archotech immediately or choose to remain mortal for a while. Also you can find objective evidence of your God's existence

    My ending to rimworld; you destroy the corrupt mechanoid and insectoid hive mind/AI things on the planet, taking command of all the insectoids/mechanoids yourself. You can already take control of mechanoids in the new xpack, and have immortal vampires, so you don't need too much to accomplish this ending.

    I would like a “bounty hunt” ending.
    The premise would be finding and locating a specific high importance pawn and bringing them back to your ship where you will launch and upon reaching space with them, you’d win. With the option of selecting another bounty and being rewarded for the one you just completed.
    The rewards would be arcotech and end game items.
    You would start with a sort of space capable transport vessel that will require maintenance to prevent it from breaking down. It would only be capable of holding 4 pawns total, and would use uranium fuel to get around. But it wouldn’t require a 15 day wait time in order to launch. Because it’s simply meant as a transport craft.
    Think a cargo pod and spaceship’s baby.
    You’d lose if the bounty, you, or your ship dies.
    And most importantly, your bounty knows they have a bounty on them. Meaning they will be trying to escape off planet or hide away in a crypto sleep casket inside a defendable base.
    You won’t know where exactly they are unless you can get that info out of the locals somehow.
    Because of how you are a contracted individual working for a company, you can’t really create a settlement to live with others in. As such, you are limited to having slaves as workers. Unless you choose to complete a bounty then choose “bounty partner” as a reward. Where you’ll be able to “get another colonist”
    I know it’s a scenario I’m taking about. But I want a repeatable ending in the game that requires a more nomadic play style. Because I simply don’t see that being common place as of right now.

      You’re agent from mystery organization that looking for a high profile person then extract them out of that planet. And you get many starting option like, you do that quest with your teammates (crashland), you’re renegaded agent/ deserter that accidentally crash on this planet, but you got the chance to redemp yourself by successfully looking for a person then escort them back to the mother base in exchange all of your criminal records will be deleted (tribals) or your ship got jammed by unusual EM then malfunctioning while it is in landing phrase and you managed to escaped to save your life but lose everything (naked brutality)

    I have 2 ides of endings for biotech: supremacy ending and mechascension ending. Supremacy ending would be archived by creating the perfect lifeform thanks to archotech(my idea is that you had to find different genepacks in ancient ruins that contained overly op genes) and the mechascension would be obtained by defeating mechanoid attacks for so long as a mechanitor, that the mechanoids would eventually offer you to substitute your mechanoid for the currebt hivemind that controlled all mechanoids, basically converting him into some kind of god

      lol I always go for 1-3 man tribal with 50% yield 25% research, the game would drag sooo long but at least I feel much less likely triggering mechanoid raid by "accidents", also fun to see the colony slowing growing from stone age to modern age

    I have an idea for an ending.
    Titled "United We Stand."
    Gaining allied with all non hostile factions sets off a chain of quests that unite the factions against a greater threat to all life on the planet. A series of Raids against mechanoid outposts with a final massive confrontation at a Mechanoid Mother base? Take on a Grand Hive of Insectoids? Aliens?! Have the game pick one of those at random?

    I love the old Genetic Rim ending of creating an archotek monster so powerful that you essentially become unstoppable to any other faction on the planet

    One ending I am sure more than a few of us tried to do in the past: Eliminating all the other factions off the map. It's going to be difficult and time consuming but if RimWorld ever gave achievements... That should be one of them.

    Ending: Death to the World.
    Explanation: Having AT LEAST 2 Settlements for each Faction (Cannibals, gentle Tribals, Pirates, Industrial Settlements, etc.). Then Play the Game Like normal. Wincondition is, that each Faction hast to have All their Settlements wiped Out by you in Raids and your Settlement ist the Only one left in the World.
    "You and Your Settlement are Safe forevermore, But at what Costa?"
    Recomended for: The Average Rimwarcrimminal Enjoyer 😊👍

    I got a few endings
    all out war: remove all factions from the map or become the dominant one.
    wasteland: kill all life on the planet
    diplomatic: make peace with all factions

    Actually, i made the fool's mistake of playing Rimworld as a lone primal barbarian on a cold planet, and although i managed to survive for a SHOCKINGLY long time, long enough to even carve a cave home, i eventually succumbed to injuries, and got that ending.
    Actually quite poetic, really.

    I'm really curious if Biotech brings any new endings. Although I agree with you, wouldn't know what. You could always do some roleplaying ending or own goals (e.g. wipe all pirates off the planet).

    would be kinda funny if there was a strategy game for rimworld ending where you progress long enough (and the others too) that separate states form and a kinda wwi/wwii scenario happens and you play as your now-centuries old colony, facing off agianst new crashlanders, old threats and awakened ancient dangers alike.

    A cool Biotech ending would be once you kill the final mechanoid boss it will be possible for you to randomly get a quest where each day parts of a mechanoid land on your plot which you have to defend from raiders and this will happen until you get all the parts, once you have them all you can rebuild the mech and it will do something to keep your colony safe forever, unable to be harmed.

    imo the Archonexus is a little underwhelming because of the amount of time it takes to get to that wealth in the first place, I would fix it by adding a little more to the ending like a song or maybe a cutscene of whats happening to the planet after it has been activated, and it would depending by the things that you have done in you colony (cannibalism, destroying settlements, helping refugees, etc) and you could either have the planet implode on itself, or have it restructure itself into something greater than a glitterworld.

    Just shy of 1200 hours with Rimworld and I've yet to finish the game outside of my colonies getting destroyed.
    I did plan to play through all the endings at one point, but lost interest before I managed to do even one.
    Thing is, I tend to play my colonies as perminent settlements - like in the comic in the video; "I don't even want to leave."

    For a game that presents itself as a colony sim I find it odd that the main goal is often to leave the planet instead of actually building a thriving and permanent colony.
    An interesting ending could be to establish a colony that hits a bunch of milestones in terms of population, wealth, production and security.

      The main issue with that is how performance becomes such a huge issue after a certain colony size is reached.
      So many pawns/animals, massive raid size, hard to manage everything, and now add on game engine and computer performance issues.

    There were some cool endings in the lovecraftian mods, when that was up and running. You could enter the dreamlands, summon an elder god, all sorts. I once entered Bast’s realm and was (I suspect) heavily covered with kitties.

    Some of the mods also add endings... I am rather partial to the Rimworld of madness ending and the vanilla expanded genetics ending, both have their unique charm

    I would love to see an end where your colony busted their buns so hard they ended up establishing a Glitterworld themselves simply through perseverance, stubbornness about leaving and conquering rivals...basically establishing perfection via your atrocities to get ahead of everyone else.

    I wish there was more dlc interaction. It would be awesome if you did the ideal loft dlc all the way but then betrayed the mysterious benefactors and sold the land to the empire, it could amass a ton of wealth and give all your pawns mid level titles but you have to deal with raids while the empire sends reinforcements in order to secure the site. The mechanicnoids could begin to land and it could be used to show they and the archotechs were the ones behind the machine

    wouldn’t have done the friendly AI ending if i didn’t have to for the playstation platinum trophy, but it wasn’t so bad to be honest. just focus on getting enough supplies to make the trip and leave as soon as possible. set up enough of a killbox to defend the ship and start the engines. not having a large amount of wealth there makes the raids pretty easy even on more difficult modes.

    A ending set by value set at the beginning of a play through. Objective : be the only faction who is left to rule the planet and kill of the other faction's . This potential end game to be the planet new super power can be as simple or as hard you want it to be base on the amount of mod's and faction' they add. As with mod's 30+ factions could be fun to fight agaist and defend your base till your faction is the only one left. This is assuming the hidden faction's are not there to prevent the end game win conditions .

    The planet killer is a near c kinetic impactor? Extra nerd points for the RimWorld universe for picking that sensible method of complete planetary destruction.
    I tend to move on when I reach what I'm calling the immovable bastion ending. The colony gets to the point where nothing short of prolonged orbital bombardment is likely to end it. They're not leaving, and no one is going make them. If they can reach a threat, they'll kill it. Tends to require decent relations with most of the neighbors since one of the more efficient ways to get certain materials is to run periodic trade caravans.

    With children being an addition I'd like to see a timeskip feature that doesn't rely on tech but that's not an ending.
    For an ending I'd like to see some sort of alliance ending that doubles as a new game plus. Essentially it revolves around making multiple colonies and declaring your faction as a proper nation (inviting war) which after the war your faction is made into an npc faction and you start a new game on the same planet. Add in some new mechanics revolving around weapons of mass destruction to encourage the wellbeing of the planet that other factions can possess as well could be neat.
    Think. NG+ you find out that your old nation now has some crazy world altering weapon or nuke and you gotta find a way to stop them all the while fighting against possibly your old Colonists

    I think a good one would be you rule all the others factions, making your faction the owner of the planet. You could get that with the supremacy meme and always showing to them that you can beat them in combat or even destroy 2/3 bases of each faction. Anyways, I think something like that would be nice.

    I'd like a raider ending. Kill x% of other factions and you assume control of the planet. Might be something that could also add regional areas/influence so you can take over civilization/crusader kings style.

    I would like to see a planetary conquest/political ending.
    If you conquered the entire planet via destroying, subjugation, or allying with most factions (except for the fallen empire, permanently hostile factions) on the entire planet you basically rule the planet and your faction will face ither troubles but the planet itself is yours.

    Since all of the endings are die or leave why not planet conquest? Take over the planet through the conversion system and remove other factions so it's yours alone. Once all the factions are gone you can include the gauntlet system by having the empire/faction remnants launch multiple attacks against you. This should be a harder ending since you're basically declaring independence against a galactic-wide empire with tech so advanced it's basically magic that can also use magic.
    Vaguely similar, become the bugs. Raise/make a bug queen to take control of the hives and claim the planet for your buggy kingdom. Using the new xenotypes you could start turning your colonists into bugs for two endings. One ending in which you basically turn yourself into worker / low-level drones and one where you manage to lead your people to the royal buggy path and not only challenge the bug queens for control of the hives but also you've just declared war on every faction and the robots as the bugs are hostile to everyone.
    Copy above, become the machines / archonexus. Just copy & paste above but now as robots instead of bugs. Maybe transform the world into a glitterworld paradise like the core regions.

    i would like an ending where you destroy the mechanoid hive and become hero of the rim or allternativly an ending where you take control of the mechive somehow(e.g. by capturing there A.I. central computer or something

    I have my own special ending which half way in my game I’m like… hey why don’t we just start a new game just because? Or my fav character died there’s no coming back let’s start new game…😢😅 or seeing videos of people making their colonies and then I look at my colony and I’m like hey let’s start over again….. 😭😭

    I really don't like that planet killer ending. I never intend on escaping in my rimworld playthrough's but instead have a colony near indestructible and have it last for years, just me occasionally checking in and watching my pawns live, grow old, die, recruit a replacement and repeat. but this planet killer ending stops me from doing all that. any setting or mod that stops this?

    Based on your ad, what about a global altering ending. Either causing a snow ball planet, or destroying the environment beyond repair due to your actions. Plants won't grow, the temperature is always way too high/low, using too many anti grain warheads can cause issues, etc.

    I'm curious in the Royalty DLC "Royal Ascent" ending are you able to select which pawns are able to leave the planet with the Royal Stellarch?
    I'm planning to do an all endings playthrough Starting with the Landed Ship>Build your own Ship>Royal Ascent>Archonexus.

    i mean this constructively the audio level on this video is very low compared to most other videos. it usually deters me from watching the videos. i know i can just turn the sound up but then the next video is earrape. just wanted to say in case it wasn't known already the videos aren't bad by any means
