I bought one of these just a few days ago, here in England. I am really enjoying sewing with it, great machine, feels really well build, solid, and sews a great stitch
@@DnB-BMX one time I got a machine, the pedal worked on and off, I thought it's the pedal problem, but later found out there was a loose wire connection on the power circuit. So, I suggest you check all the wire connector first. Good luck!
@@catsam1429 This sounds a bit familiar, to get the pedal to operate the machine I have to hold the "airline plug" onto the machine and as soon as I let go the airbulb gets stuck and seems to create uneven pressure, was actually hilarious!! My 10 year old suggested that it could be an airpump as I was stood with my multimeter in the airline, he brought a small section of plastic tube, he connected it to the machine, blew in the end and the machine started operating perfectly, It was a moment!!!
@@DnB-BMX That's exactly like mine. This is what I did: disconnected the power, removed the bottom cover, there were 3 or 4 wire connectors( I think), I pushed them in one by one, and secured the connection, it works well after.
1. Raise needle to highest position. 2. raise presser foot. 3. open slide plate. 4.drop in an empty bobbin with black rings facing up into bobbin case. 5.select the straight stitch. 6. thread the machine as the video show, and bring thread from needle , under presser foot and wind it one turn around the presser foot screw. 7.half way close slide plate with the two triangle marks lining up. 8. press the foot control to wind the bobbin.( Do not allow thread to wind beyond the outside FULL ring.

You can remove the top cover, on the upper left, there is a thing which control the widths of the zig zag, by adjusting that it can also change the needle position.

Super merci
Can you tell me how to oil this machine? It doesn’t seem to have a cotton wick like other machines.
Manual says not to oil it. Had mine since 1985 and never needed to oil it.
Hi. I'm from Malaysia. I got this machine model no 6235 but the back gear for feed dog is broken . Where can I get the parts.
@@tankweechoo4655 I don't know about Malaysia, but here in the US, you can find it on Amazon, eBay, AliExpress...
Does this one have the air pressure foot pedal?
Yes
@@catsam1429 really interesting design, got one of these today with hopefully just a faulty pedal, any recommendations on spares?

Hi! I have got the same from my mother 😊 who knows what is the hole on the top of the machine? Is it maybe for the second thread for a twin needle?
@@vivianaargento1613 yes, you are right.
