  • When SMP / Scalp Micropigmentation is done properly it can change your life in ways that even a hair transplant can't but when it's done wrong it could literally ruin your life.

    Great video, very informative. Yes, it’s very important to review your potential SMP artists’ portfolio of healed work. I currently have a client in the process of laser, getting his SMP removed that was done by his previous artist. Do the research, do it right the first time.

      Thank you so much. 😊
      We are tired of saying it. I know it seems like we might be bashing other artists and companies (whispered throughout the industry), but we speak to at least 1-3 new guys a week that need to laser remove their smp treatment :(
      It’s so sad to witness.
      It’s so important guys know what to look for!

    The goal of traditional smp IMO which 99.9% of artist do is create an 'illusion' of hair follicles blended in with bio hair. No one really thinks that the hair follicles on top of the head are smaller/larger as long as it's 'close enough'. What is close enough though is subjective. And that's when we get into the discussion of realism and what the perspective is of other people. If you ask them if they can tell out in the real world when you are the only person that really knows at the time that you had smp done. So you (the person with the smp) would be by far the most critical of the difference in the size of the impressions. Now saying that I 100% agree go with subtle smp but realize that not everyone has the ability to fly to Cali three times, weeks or months between sessions and have al the time off to do that, etc. So most have to either NOT do it at all or deal with the traditional SMP which in a lot of cases seems to work out well for people but of course there are a LOT of really bad jobs (Bad blending, wrong shading, etc, etc)

      Wow, that was informative. Thank you.
      Yes, what looks “real” is absolutely objective. We like to use plastic surgery to compare examples.
      If considering a nose job, chin implant, something similar, would you only shop local, or look for the best in the world? That’s how we perceive our art form.
      Also, we operate in Houston Texas & Southern California. We know that’s still hard for many to travel to, but we try to make it more feasible :)

    Here is the issue. There are very very very few that do subtle pigmentation. So pretty much anyone that doesn't go to Scalp Logic is a botch job.

      Anyway I can help as I've researched this a TON and it still wasn't enough research. Just when you think you know everything you really don't so be careful if you get this done. But so far I would go with this subtle approach for sure b/c it exactly matches the existing size of ones hair follicle. But does that mean in the future when it fades how is it affected can you get to the one or two people that do this to get touchups, etc. @@stevescannapieco3133

    After the procedure (healed) can go to a sauna? And will it destroy the procedure more rapidly?😅

    The problem with the industry is that these guys have been doing it for 2-3 years and already have their own college teaching half assed classes. Here’s a melon ok here is your certification.

    If an average job takes 2-3 sessions to complete the process-how much time do you suggest between each session?? Thanks

    • @scalp_logic
      @scalp_logic  8 месяцев назад

      It is custom. Each case will be a bit different. The “average” answer is at least 10-14 days between each session in many cases.
